  1. I have no idea if those are all in prices. I'm solo and if I posted I'm under $1k, I mean total. I know rcl says per person to fool people into it sounding better. Not sure why some post per person not total price. Maybe a lot of central park were sold as group rates is why they are higher now? Dec 2024 my price was just over 1k, about $20 more as I posted for 1 day less, 7 days same balcony. I'm confused what you mean in your post .. prices are now higher? Idk. Sorry your post confused me what you mean. I can show you my invoice, just under 1k total of course. As I posted above. For 8 days oasis class, I'm semi ok with the price. Not fabulous but not bad.
  2. Royal up is thru a 3rd party and they could care less about your loyalty status. Absolutely no bearing that we know of. It just depends on your bid. No one knows the algorithm who wins. I guess I cant see why being D+ would matter. Just who pays the most.
  3. I've seen french press brought on, but who wants the mess. Electric is what is prohibited.
  4. Everything is relative. I booked one of the coco cay early. It was like $20 cheaper than dec 2024 I also had booked for only 7 days. All depends when you booked. There are actually 6 of these. Im booked for the oct 2024 8 day out of Galveston. It was a bargain when released. I'm debating keep it or not as now I want to move to florida. Already cancelled the 2 weeks before xmas which imo was priced too high. I'm just under 1k for the 8 days, in a central park balcony.
  5. Harmony shows as leaving march 2026 but nothing is shown yet replacing her. More obviously to come.
  6. I too was looking for Bermuda. Last on my to do list .. very disappointed.
  7. Maybe consider booking the "29" cabin on a oasis class ship and the cabin next door? The 29 cabins are twice as long and have 2 extra lounge chairs, 2 regular and a table for the same price. If having lounge chairs are important. A whole lot cheaper. If you did a minimum bid chances arent good of winning a royal up bid anyway. Cant count on it, more like a dream when cruises sail full. Often there are nine available if you do a mock booking, someone has to no show to even have 1 lucky couple win.
  8. I was about to say conquest just skipped this stop. I'm still scheduled to stop there. Carnival announced one ship skipped the port. Not fleet wide. They are playing it right up to when you stop there. We were sold out since april. Carnival less than a week before final sent out emails a passport required .. before they had been saying the opposite. Lots of cancellations and many sending for passports, which luckily have been coming in fast. If rcl did this people would have been screaming. Very last minute.
  9. Reserved seating also not worth much. Stand by line also works well in my experience. Reserved seats you still need to have reserved the show to get in and 15 minutes before the show they pull the reserved signs and open the seats to all. Agree with above, no extra loyalty pts for wins from royal up. Just not good if you have 2 cabins.
  10. Agree with mike to start looking around the 1st of the month before. I think my nov 26 opened around oct 6. The dec 3 and dec 10, were shortly after nov 1st. Could only be booked on app, there are often issues like this. It's best to join a roll call and watch for people posting.
  11. I feel like a get a lot of sneering when I say I booked carnival. My jan stops are Panama, costa rico , columbia, aruba and curacao plus jamaica. 5 nice ports out of Galveston. Not my first choice but I wanted new ports.
  12. They can sleep wherever but you dont get a refund on their cabin if that cabin doesnt also win a royal up. Royal up is for people who dont care about location.
  13. I booked a bunch of excursions for 30% off, one was only 25% off .. which is now 20% off. Could only book thru dec 2024 or I'd have booked more. Every year since covid excursions are on their best sale of the year. I wait for this sale to book excursions.
  14. I did a b2b on the breeze (also vista) and thought dinner in Mdr on the breeze was not edible. My steak was all gristle. Other choices not good. On vista I ate in pay restaurants to get around this for dinner. After breeze is when I decided to switch back to rcl. Now prices on rcl out of pc are so crazy high I'm considering carnival again. I do prefer carnival pizza and guys burgers. Love their seafood place, and their lobster rolls are reasonable ala carte. Im on sister dream in jan and my friend who just got off dream said dream needs attention, needs some fixing up. Booked for the better ports out of Galveston. Idk this morning I'm thinking I'll be cruising a whole lot less. Rcl finally hit my limit wall on prices. I'm seeing a bunch of insides on older ships over $2k. ..crazy.
  15. That's true. There are many many threads here on cc saying find a TA for group rates so you can get you balconys discount. Booking direct the sale discount is bigger than your discount so booking direct you dont get it. Some days there are 10 posters saying get yourself a TA who offers group rates for lower prices. There are always people who say they rather pay more and have control such as you did. Not new.
  16. I was looking for Bermuda out of PC and all I see is exactly what I already have booked. I too am disappointed. So much same ole. Stinks. Not even one going to Bermuda. Looked at other ports and none from other florida ports. Amazingly boring. I went thru them and my reaction was no. Time to rethink. Another line. Something,, not these. And prices are crazy high. Been waiting and so disappointed.
  17. I know. What my comment referred to was prices from 789 for instance and then solo when I clicked thru the cheapest was over $1700. More than doubled on pretty much everything I clicked on. And balconys outrageous. I can figure the solo discount in my head pretty close ... these are still high imo. Older ships going to same ole ports.
  18. I'm looking at 13 days from PC may 2025, right now around 2k inside, 2200 ish for a forward balcony. Says aft balconys sold out. Holding back cabins? on voyager. Not even a kind of new ship. PC to spain and azores. I'd have hoped for a lot less.
  19. That's what I was thinking. Not even different ports from PC. No bermuda i hoped for. Everything i click on solo the price goes up. From $898 ... and i click 1 pax, and insides start at 2k. I'm seeing balconys at $2,7xx. For adventure. Crazy high ..
  20. No, it has to be booked solo. Need to remove the other pax before the ship sails ro get the 1 extra pt. 1 pt regular, 1 solo, 1 suite. 3 possible. Not double.
  21. If you reserve it you can see it's a fixed price. So yes you get what you reserved, not something else. If you want ala carte take out just walk in and order to take out. You dont reserve a table to get takeout. You walk in and they hand you a bag with your take out.
  22. Me too. I love to read while on a cruise. Better make sure I bring extra books, just in case. No going to the library to exchange what I've brought.
  23. If I had non refundable air fare I think I might have kept the cruise and just gone. Agree it was a bad deal either way.
  24. I had a thread I now cant find I posted sunday on this cruise. Allure oct 21 2024. I tried search and cant find it, maybe I copied too much about what's going to be offered or something. I think it will be fun too.
