  1. Nothing special unless you book during a promotion. The TA days count the same as any other days, normally.
  2. Millennium August 2018. They must not have decided to implement this fleetwide, so far
  3. There should be some tea sandwiches, scones, cookies, etc at OceanView around 4 pm. Check the Daily or just wander up there. They could be all the way aft, not close to the entrance. Back by the pizza.
  4. Not out of line but it’s sadly, just another symptom of the confusing and outmoded booking system used by both companies.
  5. I remember vividly a number of years ago that there was a transatlantic cruise which started in Southampton and should have visited Bermuda but bad weather caused many delays and the Bermuda stop was skipped. Not good news for the passengers on board who were using the ship as a means of moving lots of their household goods from Southampton to Bermuda. They had to make the uncomfortable choice of getting off in New York or going on to Florida with us and then having to pay big bucks to ship their many suitcases from the States to Bermuda. Whoops.
  6. The OP would like to sign a waiver to allow under21 to drink. The itinerary is wrong for that. the in-room mini bar is an issue. who is responsible if the under-21 violates the rules is also at issue.
  7. I get where the OP is coming from. The 19 year old is going to be the one to make the decisions and take responsibility for his actions. But the OP will share the blame if the 19-year old gets into trouble for that decision while on board. So whether one agrees or disagrees with Celebrity’s policy, everyone should know what it is and what can happen if it isn’t followed.
  8. No, you can only get the drinks listed on the Elite menu and coffee isn’t one of them
  9. Simple answer, no they have made no changes. Thank goodness there are many Celebrity ships with traditional balconies…….
  10. Meanwhile, back to the subject of power up points, I can’t be the only person who did the “flight by Celebrity” promotion. And I’m wondering if people got their points on the 14th of the month, that is yesterday.
  11. Correct. You cannot just go in for a drink. They are dining venues. With steep cover charges.
  12. No it isn’t one point per night. It’s one night’s worth of points no matter how long the cruise is.
  13. But their website (so they say) is award-winning. Unfortunately it’s a participation award
  14. The question is, how will you handle it if their bar is stocked?
  15. Yippee I got 5 just now, 5 to go and I am hopeful they will get added soon
  16. That isn’t what the offer said. I am hoping this won’t become a kerfuffle.
  17. Flights by Celebrity bookings were made last month, two of them to be exact. It’s the 14th of the following month. Am I right an expecting that the Captains Club points should get into my account today? Would be interested to hear from anyone else who did the flights for Celebrity promotion last month and is also watching for the points to be added.
  18. Sometimes Celebrity makes things unnecessarily complicated. This is one of them. On the M and S class ships there is a specialty restaurant called the Tuscan grill. It is an extra charge venue. On the E class ships, there are four main dining room and one of them is called Tuscan. There is no extra fee for dining there. That’s why it was important to know which restaurant/ship the OP was inquiring about. The general answer still holds, you can order as many of each course as you wish. You can even order three appetizers and no main course, or two appetizers a salad and dessert. If you ask them to bring you two main courses, that’s usually just fine, too.
