  1. I have heard this a few times. Do you have any details? For the extra cost that RC charges, I am just still confused on how their MDR can do sub-par work.
  2. I have been very. I love the Carnival atmosphere, the ships, the food, the fun. Would I like another line? Possibly, but I am pretty sure I wouldn't like it THAT much more. If anything I would like to go on a Princess cruise sometime as they really aren't that much more expensive.
  3. To this point my entire cruising decisions have been based around getting Platinum level. I am not alone in that.
  4. Also they have a bug in their system. On my cruise in April, we had already upgraded from interior to cove balcony. Now when I log in they are still trying to "upgrade" me to an interior on a higher deck.
  5. now that I have platinum, I really don't notice the abundance of too many platinums... at least out of NYC or Baltimore. Still mostly red/blue cruisers. however I know for a fact that If I lose priority embarkation on my platinum, I will just have no reason to stick with Carnival any more, and there will be a lot of others who decide its time to try other lines.
  6. Do you all not have the restaurant local to you? It's literally downstairs from my office right now.
  7. I'm very disappointed in the community here not appreciating the Moland comment.
  8. Is day 8, 9, 10 in that list above? I couldn't see it. Thanks for the rest.
  9. Every time I have cruised during severe weather season, The captain has always kept me in a safe location even if it meant skipping ports. For some reason I have some morbid curiosity to be on a cruise where it can't be avoided.
  10. I have a 10 day on Venezia in April and wonder the same thing
  11. Diet Coke - and yes this means I have to bring my own
  12. OMG I would have died of a heart attack.
  13. early is better. The best stuff will sell out.
  14. Some services are actually decently priced. I found hair cuts, certain facials, and mani/pedis to be a decent value. I haven't seen many chances to get much reduced services, though as in many cases the spa can and will sell out.
  15. How do you know where the galley is located?
  16. In my experience 99% of the time the bartender gives me the can and the glass. I can't even remember the last time I didn't get the can.
  17. Okay this is my favorite review ever on this forum. The entire review in one place at one time, and super fair. I am sorry to hear about your cabin steward. The service is certainly reduced over the last 5 years, but this person sounds like they were bottom of the barrel.
  18. Considering how close the YTD tables are to the next table? You might as well be sharing anyway. I think there hasn't been one time that my wife hasn't started a conversation with the tables next to us.
  19. I don't like Pepsi, so instead I drink Diet Mountain Dew. In the case of Diet Dew it is usually everywhere, but sometimes it will not be at a specific bar because they sold it out and hadn't replenished. So based on that experience and knowing Caffeine free Diet Pepsi is probably even more niche... I would say you might run into issues.
  20. I think you will love it. My only complaint about Venezia was the Theater being too small for our Canada cruise. I am sailing again on her in April on 10 day Caribbean, and hopefully that itinerary will decrease the theater traffic.
  21. I am sure that's right. I have never been on the Vista class until this one. It was a Candian cruise and the age range was mostly 50+. You had to line up almost an hour early to even have a chance of getting a seat lol.
  22. Glad to see good words about Venezia. I was on in April and loved almost all of it. My only issue was the ultra small main theater.
  23. IF the Vista theater is as small as the Venezia, I would never even sail on the Vista if I had another option
