  1. Happy Valentines Day to all on the other side of the International Date line! ❤

And...hello from the Volendam.  We are at sea today on our way to Perth (Fremantle) AUS. Nice weather today.

We were in Exmouth yesterday.  It was hot but not unbearable.  Went on a wonderful glass bottom boat SE to see the Ningalooo reef. Pretty impressive.

Prayers for all of us and the world.  We need them now more than ever.

Prayers for everyone observing Ash Wednesday. It is a solemn day of reverence in the Catholic church.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

    Take care all,

    Caron 😎

  2. Good day everyone from the Volendam!

We are currently at sea on our way to Darwin, AUS (on the AUS/NZ GV). Another beautiful day in paradise, mid-80's, light breeze.

    This has been great fun...

Today our group of Dailyites is having dinner at the Canaletto. These dinners are always fun because they are very nice and fun people 😉

As @Cruising-along, Carolyn said, Komodo island was cool to see but was hot, hot, hot! One and done for me.

Currently it is Friday, Feb 9th at 11:50 am. The time differences are a challenge to keep up with though I think I have a bit of a mush brain after being on a nice cruise for a month! No real responsibilities and people who take care of us.

Again the memes made me LOL, probably getting looks from other passengers. 😜

Take good care everyone. Safe travels to all traveling.

Prayers for everyone especially those with  challenges 🙏

Also, my thanks to all contributors.

  3. Hello Dailyites from the Volendam!

We are at sea today for a relaxing day. Tomorrow we are in Brisbane, where we all have to go through immigration inspection.

There is also a heat warning for Brisbane which will happen this time of year when a person is on this side of the equator. The personal fan and cooling towel will be put to use.

Safe travels and Bon Voyage to @summer slope @Sharon in AZ @Quartzsite Cruiser and @dfish !! I know you will have a great cruise with fellow Dailyites. I am having a great cruise on the GV Australia with Dailyites. 🌴😎😊

    Thanks to all contributors.

    Take good care all.

  5. Hi Everyone from Samoa! (GV AUS/NZ Cruise)

The horn just blew and we are now on our sailaway. Hot and very rainy here today.  Beautiful Samoa.

Things are going well. Had a great dinner last evening with Dailyites in the Pinnacle. Great group on this cruise.

Today is Saturday, the 20th, for us. We are on the other side of the equator and the international date line.

Prayers for all in need, especially those with health issues.

Everyone with the horrible weather please be safe and stay warm!

Thanks to all contributors. The memes never fail to be funny.

    Celebrate your joys...

    Take good care everyone.

  6. Hello Everyone from Honolulu on board the Volendam!

The cruise has been great fun with the Dailyites. 😊 Things are going well.

Nothing much planned for HI as I have been here a few times. It is enjoyable just being warm and on a BHB!

@Crazy For Cats, I am so sorry to hear about sweet baby girl Amelia. They shatter part of our hearts when they leave us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family who all are missing her, I am sure.

Take care, all of those affected by that horrible Winter storm. Please be safe.

My thanks to all contributors here.

    Take care all..😊😎

  7. Hi everyone from Hawaii!

Just completed 5 days at sea. Here 3 days then at sea on our way to Australia.

It has been great! Never been on such a long cruise. 84 days to go. Yes, it is overwhelming.

@AmyJA so sorry about your nephew.  Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  It is never easy. 🙏

How exciting for the Tribe cruise people! It is happening soon...😎🌴🍻🍷

Have a great time.  I will try to follow as best I can.

Take care and be safe all.😊

Apparently I've been ordering wrong at WhatABurger. My family always takes me there when we visit them and I didn't know you could get Texas Toast instead of a bun! What have I been doing? Also half that stuff was not shown to me. Now at least I am prepared for when we go back!!

We have some respiratory thing. Pretty sure we got it at my in laws. They did not tell us that my husbands grandma was coughing everywhere, so we went on the Weds after Christmas. Turns out she was coughing tons, so bad she could hardly eat her dinner. They kept insisting she wasn't sick because she didn't have a fever. and then telling her that they had cough syrup. If you're not sick you don't need to take cough syrup. Sure enough 5 days later our toddler has a croup sounding cough and a runny nose. We haven't been anywhere else in the timeframe that she would have picked up a cold like that. Thankfully we have everything from last time she was sick, so it's okay. and at least it's AFTER the holidays. But we had to re-schedule her dentist appointment that we made almost a year ago because of this. Thankfully the dentists office was super nice because we gave them 48 hrs notice, so someone else can hopefully use the time slot. I can tell I'm also fighting it off.

I feel bad for my in laws because GMIL Is not doing well. She has full blown dementia, is seeing people in her room, and they are taking care of her at home. and it's obviously really rough. It's taking a toll on the health of both of them too.

0MG, why do people deny they are sick especially when they are a petrie dish of germs and really sick!

So sorry about your little one.

Hope everyone gets well soon. 😊

Are you on the 90-something day cruise?  You'll be back in April?  Have a great time and take notes for things I'll need to know for my paltry 50-something day cruise.  😁

Thanks! Yes, the cruise is 94 days. I'll be back in April.

Yours sounds just as exciting. 😄

  10. Belated Happy New Year Tribe!!!

Getting all of the last minute stuff done for the big cruise. It leaves tomorrow from San Diego.

NYE was just a HH and then in bed by 10pm. Never have been a big NYE party person. I know, very boring!

Wishing all a great 2024, we all deserve it.

    Cheers, be safe.

    OK, CC is acting weird.

  11. Happy New Years/Eve to all of the wonderful, wonderful people here.

we're blessed to have you in our lives this past year, may the next year be the same blessings with a few extras because we deserve them.

I arrived safely to San Diego, which completes the first leg of our journey cruise GVAUS/NZ.

I was told lots of cruisers are at this hotel; I am thinking not all are CC people.

Planning to meet up with a few RC people here for a HH. Very fun!

CC is acting funny so I'll sign off.

    Take good care,

    Caron

Good morning to all from rainy San Diego. The showers are supposed to move out by noon. We shall see, but this morning will be spent reading and drinking coffee.

The travel from Durango was both good and bad. My flight from Durango to Phoenix was delayed over 2 hours (why did I think that might happen?). A maintenance issue and they could not locate the proper contractor and then deicing since the outside temperature was 13F. And frankly it felt like that inside too. And they kept us on the plane the whole time. I had a long layover scheduled in Phoenix, but they got me on to an earlier flight and wonder of wonders... they sent my checked luggage with me. So I actually arrived at the Wyndham well before check in. They had a room for me ready, so I am in and settled. My back is really protesting the travel and lugging about my carry on so I will be glad to have a few days to rest up. I find also that I do not do long walks well (I had to change terminals at Phoenix and it was an absolute zoo... easier to walk than to try to find a ride).

Will try to catch up on the Daily. @dfishGlad your surgery went well (I did see that) and my best to all of you. This afternoon I am supposed to meet up with friends. And maybe I had better invest in a new rainjacket. Mine is packed in my shipped luggage and I just looked at the forecast for the 3rd. We cann hope it will change.

@cruising sisterI will be at the hotel when you arrive. My cell phone is 970-749-5930. Or ask for me at the desk. I think my full name is on the roll call.

    Susan

    Hi Susan,

I am thinking we were posting at the same time..great minds and all that!

So sorry your travels were not so good but glad you are safe and sound in your hotel. I like that they had your room ready!

See you tomorrow, get some rest tonight so you are ready to take on this adventue...JK.

I, myself am hoping for a low key enjoyable cruise.

  13. Good Saturday morning everyone!

I too am packing and cleaning house before I leave for San Diego tomorrow for the GVAUS/NZ cruise. I am beyond excited! I am packed but it seems like there are hundreds (yes probably an exaggeration...lol) of little last minute things to do to ensure the house is safe while I am gone. Even though someone is watching it, you just never know, and how things will behave when not in use for 3 months.  Trying to do most of it this AM as I am meeting friends for a Bon Voyage late lunch.

@dfish, so glad your surgery went well; not glad that you are having such pain with it. I hope it gets better every day as you heal.

@cruising sister, thanks to you and her parents for the beautiful picture of sweet baby Murphy! She is looking adorable, like a baby should. And that hair...how cute!! Glad she is progressing.

My kitchen is closed too, I did all of the dishes so there will be no cooking etc. Safe travels tomorrow; see you in San Diego! 😊 😎

@Cruising-along, I cleaned my house too but was thinking it will just be dusty etc. when I return so....did I really need to do that? I was thinking that, when I was tired from cleaning and thinking if I move I will need a smaller house. Safe travels to you and hubbie on Tuesday. See you on the ship! 😊

@durangoscots, safe travels to you too, I am thinking you traveled yesterday to San Diego. Hope it went smoothly; see you also in San Diego.

I have never been to India, have no plans to make any resolutions and so far no last minute changes today. Love bacon but usually limit it, too salty for me.

My thanks to all of the contributors this past week; thoroughly enjoyable for my reading pleasure.😀

Prayers for us all especially those with health issues, so as to find relief and comfort. 🙏

Celebrate all of your joys, we all deserve them.

Take good care everyone and have a good weekend!

Oh my goddness, how exciting for you!🥂

I am currently packing for the same type of cruise on Jan 3rd, next Wednesday! I am taking HAL. Mine is R/T San Diego.

It certainly is a bucket list trip for me too.

It was lots of fun and some work planning it, lots of little details with SE and leaving the house for a long period of time.....😊😎

Awesome!  Which ship?  I'd like to take a look at your itinerary.

My ship is the HAL Volendam. It is a smaller ship but I think they tend to book smaller ships for these long cruises. It will be interesting to see if the cruise is sold out or not.

I looked at your cruise and it looks great.....I like Princess. I have had some nice cruises with them.

Okay, now I need to know all about Princess.  Just booked 54 day South Pacific cruise on Island Princess for March, 2026.  It is round trip from Los Angeles, going to Australia, New Zealand, many of the South Pacific islands, etc, and I only have to fly to Los Angeles.  This is a bucket list trip for sure, and this seems the most inexpensive way to see it all.

My arrival time is 9:00 am.  Perfect!   I can get up at 6, drink coffee till 7, do my HIbiclens shower and head out.  I'm picking up DS Mary Jo at 8:30 and she will be there and drive me home.  I'm hoping to be home by mid afternoon.

    Oh yay, about the time!

Best of luck tomorrow in your procedure; hope you are pain free and it goes by quick!

    Take care ☺

    Looking forward to it all.

It won't be long before the GVAUS/NZ cruise starts and I will join you for a portion of your adventure.
