  1. Good evening Tribe,

I have been following along all week but didn't get to posting.

Pretty busy week for me and here on on the thread.

Thoughts and prayers for those struggling with anything; we all have them but that doesn't make it any easier. Sounds like everyone is doing their best. Life sucks sometimes.

Continued safe and fun travels for those currently cruising!! I am jealous.

Right now starting Friday HH...with wine and appys.

Happy to hear those booking cruises in the future, all the way out to 2026! I am not that organized.

I do have a couple of cruises booked for Winter 2025; 28-day to Amazon and 21 day Caribbean. I like the long cruises and since I am now retired I can go.

Have a good WE everyone and take care. 😎

So thought I would share with my TRIBE family.

My sister in law who was kind enough to accompany my mom to California.

Mom and her sister who is younger than my mom.  It was a surprise to my Aunt she did not know my mom was coming.

My aunt was able to leave the assisted living facility and my mom opened the house door to surprise her!  Look at the smiles on those faces.

The ladies look awesome! What a great family reunion. The pic shows the family love and happiness.

    Blessings to your family @Hogladyrider!

Those of us who are neither US nor European citizens face never ending visa issues,Cruise companies are no help and just say refer to Consulates, firstly  getting hold of anyone is near impossible and their answer is always the same  ‘“get a visa “

whilst prior to a cruise the Cruise Companies claim to know nothing yet at check in the ship knows very well what is required..I would seriously caution anyone taking repositioning or multiple country cruises, should consider the cost and hassle of these  endless visa issues for those that need them,

I wonder how long it will be before companies realize the huge market worldwide that is deterred from taking  cruises because of visa issues and start to help and simplify the problems, maybe start excluding counties and ports that are unable to be helpful.

All Visas and their rules are government rules not any transportation companies responsibilities. Keeping up with each individual country requirement would be daunting and costly for the cruise lines. They do change. The onus is always on the traveler.

No airline would let you board without the correct ID or passport which are all government documents. The airlines do not help you get your ID or passport. Pretty much the same thing.

Will do! I'll need to go back and look at my stuff.

We went to a lot of ports so they kind of blend a  bit....lol.

This looks like a great cruise!

If you have a chance after you get rested up, I'd be interested in tips for the ports my cruise will have in common.  Welcome home!

Sure! I do remember you said you are going but do not remember any details.

Let me know and I'll do my best. 😊

  7. Good Friday evening all!

Just returned this week from my 94 day AUS/NZ cruise. It was great!

Re-entry has been tough, very tired. I know, poor me!

Have been keeping up with the Tribe for the most part. Seems all are pretty good including the Tribe cruise! How fun! You all are fun people....

My thoughts to all who have been struggling.

Cheers to a good weekend.  😎

  8. Good Friday evening everyone!

I finally received my Luggage Forward luggage today from the AUS GV. The past week has been busy with re-entry into reality. Not for the weak hearted! Though I would be ready to cruise again as soon as things are sorted. 😎

I will open the luggage tomorrow to start the task of laundry. Don't want to rush into these things....

I also got my taxes done and they were accepted pretty quickly. Lots of other little tasks needed to be done too, as you can imagine. I also have been sleeping about 9-10 hours a night.  More tired than I thought.

I haven't had the 'off the ship' motion feeling at all, even when in bed. I usually do.

Prayers for all of us and our world. We do need them.

Celebrate the joys in your life no matter how small.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

    Cheers to a good weekend!!

Good sunny morning. It’s going to be a beautiful day.

What wonderful news about Baby Murphy ❤️🎉. She truly is a fighter.

Still no posting from @Crazy For Cats. I hope he is okay. I miss his cat memes.

Today is the official start of the Iditarod. Prayers for a safe race.

Blessings and prayers to all on our lists.

I miss @Crazy For Cats and his memes too!  Always funny, never inappropriate IMO, though others here called him out. Hope he returns. Hope we will continue to be a safe space.

Great news on our cutie Baby Murphy!

Continuing to have great fun on the AUS/NZ GV😊

Prayers for us all, celebrate your joys.

    Take care all.

  10. When I had a cruise booked and was summoned for jury duty I told them I would be out of the country that week. I requested to be deferred to a month I knew I would be in town and told them that.

    No problem.

Good morning friends!  It's 42F this morning and will be 63, sunny and windy.  I hope the remainder of the 500 million acorns on our pin oak fall off today.  We are constantly out there sweeping them up off the street and sidewalk and raking up what we can off the grass.  This was a boom year for acorns apparently. 🌳

Thank you Jacqui @kazu and Roy @rafinmd for posting Rich's @richwmn Daily and Fleet Report as well as the great maps.  Much appreciated!  An excellent quote today.  I love tortilla chips and could be having some at lunch later.  Never cared much about trading cards, and didn't watch the TV show Twin Peaks.  The meal suggestions sounds good.  No thanks to the cocktail, and I hope Laura @Lcubed has a secret decoder ring today!  An important day in history since we seem to still be using the Gregorian calendar.  Thanks to Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope, and Laura @Lcubed for the food and beverage reports!

Prayers said first thing for my dear family and friends, the people of Israel and Ukraine, hostages still held, and our troops at risk in the region.  Special prayers for our Daily family who are on the Care list because of pain, medical procedures, loss of loved ones, stress and worry.  Praying for improvement for you all.  Hope our friend Annie @marshhawk gets back online soon. She emailed me that she had a good chuckle about people being without phone service for 4-5 hours when their phone and internet has been out for 8 days.  I had emailed that info to her in case the cable box was repaired and they still had no service and that was her reply to me.  Congrats to all on the Celebrations list!  Happy cruising, birthday or anniversary!  Thank you Vanessa @JazzyV for the updated list and I hope things are going better for you ASAP!

The port today is Zihuatanejo (Ixtapa), Guerrero, Mexico.  This is another new port.  We had a stop there in 2005 on the old Regal Princess.  No links to share, but I'll get on collecting pictures right away.

Bon Voyage @Cruise Suzy!  Welcome home Nancy @ottahand7 and John, George @MISTER 67 and Ann @cat shepard!  We've missed you all!  Hope all of you on the Daily have a great Saturday.  Stay safe and keep well!

Jake @Crazy For Cats there was some bad language in the meme so we should look out for that type of thing in the future.  Didn't take long!

    Inappropriate.

And there is absolutely nothing ethically wrong with the bartender using their discretion on when to charge.
“Stealing” isn’t an ethics accusation — it’s an actual crime.

If there is no deception, there is no theft, no ethics violation.

Not what the OP was describing.

I agree it is a crime but was answering to the person who believed it wasn't. Lots of laws are based on ethics principles. Lawyers are usually obligated to follow..lol.

We are on the same page. 🙂🌴

As a lawyer, who has worked on criminal prosecutions — I can say with absolute certainty, it is NOT stealing. It may or may not be a violation of NCL policy, depending on how the NCL employee uses their discretion.

Just as the waiter in a speciality restaurant did not “steal” when they gave me an extra dessert.

Sharing something that you purchased is pretty rarely ever stealing. May indeed be a violation of a policy, but it is not stealing.

Now, there is a huge difference between using your package to get 10 cocktails per day for other people not on the package… and grabbing 2-3 extra mocktails for a friend over the course of a week. Neither would technically be theft, but the former is clearly an abuse of their system.

Nope. Just because it isn't a law doesn't mean it is not stealing.

As a lawyer you should know ethics.
