Don't know your age but I'm going to assume based on your question that you are an "old fogey". Us oldies don't get how the youngsters are into "social media". As has been stated numerous times, Crystal can't rely on their prior guests, they have to attract "new blood". So, they have to go where that blood hangs out! 😉

They do use Air Canada as they have me on Air Canada to Montreal from Lisbon at the end of an Oct. Nova cruise. There are no nonstops Lisbon to Houston so the Air Canada is as good as any flights. Since Houston is a United hub, being on a Star Alliance line will allow me to get useful miles.
FYI, I do not care what they name any venue on the ships. Will probably have difficulty with the Italian restaurant, but as long as they still serve the carpaccio and the mushroom soup made with the old recipes, it's fine by me. I do not think more or less of anyone based on their vehicle. I drive a 2016 Toyota Camry, so it's fine by me if you choose to ignore what I say based on that.

Very few places in Alaska have local sales taxes. I think I remember that Juneau does. There's still big money coming into the state's coffers from the North Slope oil.
That would be very disappointing if there's no fridge (even tho it never kept things as cool as a real fridge). Haven't been on a cruise ship of any level since the old Holland Americas around 2007-2008 that didn't have a cabin fridge. I looked and none of the cabins have a fridge listed so maybe there will be ones.
There are drawers at the desk/vanity next to the door. It's still a big reduction from old Crystal. It will work for me as a solo traveler, but storage is an issue for a couple.

P.S. Muriel, we were posting at the same time.
They are already posted for the first 5 Serenity cruises and I believe the first 4 Symphony cruises. Looked and some, not every port, are listed for a few cruises after that. They aren't allowing booking until 60 days before the cruise but you can look and see what's offered before then.

I don't remember that the relationship lasted very long. I have a vague recollection of it, but it seems that it wasn't anytime near the demise of old Crystal.

My interpretation is that was aimed at the Genting "high rollers" who probably wouldn't have returned to the new Crystal anyway. Everyone has a feature that's nonnegotiable. No ship can be everything to everyone. Happy sailing wherever you "land".

As to beds, they haven't said that they are replacing all mattresses, have they? We are to expect new sheets and towels, or was I dreaming on that?

Assuming you are going to be flying out of Providence. Think you'll have to make a connection as there aren't any nonstops to either Houston airports. Hobby is mostly Southwest but you can also fly American to DFW and then on to Hobby or Delta to Atlanta then on to Hobby. Just be aware that IAH is a huge airport, 5 terminals whereas Hobby is one terminal. it is about 40 miles from Hobby to Galveston and 70 from IAH to Galveston.
I don't understand your post. There's 22 pages of discussion over the past 4 1/2 months. If you're talking about topic drift, welcome to Cruise Critic! 🤪🤣😉

Think we can now assume it's a dry dock. The problem is if it is a scheduled dry dock, why did they ever sell cruises for that time. Can't be an emergency dry dock as the time frame is too far away.
Do you "have " to fly Delta? Seems like everything would be much easier if you'd just fly Southwest to Hobby. Sorry, I can't help you with Royal Caribbean transfers.
IAH is a huge airport. There are 5 terminals. Let's hope they stop at each airline. This is one of the reasons to use HOU (Hobby) if at all possible. HOU is also at least 30 minutes closer to Galveston.
You seem to be wanting to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Here's what you do - book flights on Southwest Airlines between MCI and HOU. Book a shuttle on whichever of those listed here you find best (price, schedule, whatever). ENJOY your cruise. Hope this doesn't offend you but I swear it's not as hard as you are making it.
I know this is an open forum, but I really don't understand why anyone who has no intention of ever sailing with the new Crystal wastes a moment of their time here. But, whatever floats your boat.
