  1. Yes there a some which cover pre-existing conditions as long as purchased by final payment date. A friend failed to get insurance early and just got it prior to final payment and it wasn't bad. Covered pre-existing conditions for people not traveling (elderly parents). Some would only cover for people traveling. He went through The Trip Insurance Store. Steve is great.
  2. Just remember the small liquor/wine mini bar sized bottles will never be included and if you consume them you will be charged. I'd say most butlers are now doing water/soft drinks and many beer as long as you have a package.
  3. Some international travelers do it to lock in exchange rate. I have personally done it twice to take advantage of the Amex promo to spend $500 and get $150/$175 statement credit on already paid sailings. The promo doesn't work to pay the onboard account.
  4. I've never seen the Xpass be wrong. If you have Premium package it should have PALL listed on it. If it shows CALL I'll bet good money your Seapass will say Classic!
  5. I would think they would show in your Cruise Planner when they are posted since they are non refundable Celebrity OBC.
  6. Was on the first 2 sailings of Equinox in Jan. First sailing we did have Prime Rib late in the sailing. I don't believe it has been served since. I'd assume they used up what they had in storage. There is definitely more pork. Pork chops on at least 2 menus and the pork and beans disk. The pork chop I had on the first night (where prime rib is normally), I gave up about 1/2 way through as it was very tough.
  7. @CruiseCrew123 Is correct the classic package includes generic versions but the premium waters are on the premium alcohol package or zero proof package. I think the real change in the packages was the elimination of the classic non alcoholic and soda packages and basically rebranding the premium non alcoholic package as Zero Proof. The execution of the change was totally botched.
  8. When it was $30 there was no mention of gratuity. When we have had guests we certainly factored that into our final gratuity at the end of the cruise.
  9. Within reason you shouldn't have an issue ordering an extra entree.
  10. And the package change (Zero Proof) was introduced in Nov/Dec. It shouldn't take them over a month to fix blatantly incorrect information.
  11. There was a program where you could purchase the suite amenities for something like $99 pp/pd but I believe it was limited to the upper suite categories. I'm very sure that if you get a MoveUp to a Sky Suite you would not qualify for this offer. @39august is correct he could join you in Luminae for dinner for $30 space available.
  12. I had the issue of not being able to see my account on the app last sailing. I went to guest services who said they would have the IT guy call me. Never did but the next day it was working. Now I just hope whatever they did fixes the Muster Drill 2.0. For the last half dozen cruises I can watch the darn thing 20 times and it won't give me the names to check off. So of course when I go to check in at the muster station they don't believe me so I show them. They don't care and check me off. It will probably never be fixed! As I've said multiple times on here, I managed a group that did these types of apps. If we ever released something as poor as this app I would have had a very short career and wouldn't be able to afford to cruise on Celebrity.
  13. @Cap_D what type of advise are you looking for. You certainly aren't going to be able to switch sailings after final payment. Refundable deposit makes no difference after you pass final payment date. Yes flights are going to be crazy expensive as it's the holiday weekend.
  14. Which is what they should have done. You lost your $200 OBC because you rebooked at the prevailing rate when you switched to the balcony GTY. Their Price Guarantee states that if the price changes within 48 hrs you are entitled to the difference in OBC (since it's after final payment).
  15. Just made an airport transfer reservation. Earliest flight for the transfer was 12:15 so noon is a good bet.
  16. We were on a TA on Constellation about 10 years ago and we had a young couple at our dinner table who were obviously a bit confused about cruising. He spoke French but she started talking to us in English. Turns out she did foreign study abroad, they met and got married and lived in France for several years. They were in the process of moving to the US and found the cruise to be much less expensive than flying and shipping their things. They said when they were dropped off at the port in Barcelona with 14 suitcases in a trailer the porters looked at them and asked if they knew how small the cabins were? They were in an inside cabin. Of course we told them the stateroom attendant could find somewhere to store their excess luggage but they said they had it all tucked away in their room. There were 2 other ladies from NJ traveling together who joined our table and the 4 of us tried to take them under our wing and help them out with sharing wine, giving them internet minutes from our CC allotment etc as they were traveling on a real shoestring budget.
  17. It first started with Revolutionized ships pre-covid but all ships since the restart have the seapass cards at the door at embarkation time. You are free to put valuables in the safe and leave your carry on in the room and then leave the room until the 1-1:30 announcement.
  18. Yes the penalty scale is the same for both refundable/non-refundable deposit. If you were to cancel in the 25% phase I'd assume that would be at least your deposit amount. If it were less than the deposit I'm not sure if you would get FCC or if the deposit amount would be forfeited. If it were me I'd do the non-refundable deposit in a heartbeat given you are so close to final.
  19. I suspect this promo to be extended through the rest of Wave Season. Alternating 50 bonus OBC and none like they have been doing for the last couple months.
  20. If the price doesn't match the product then the value isn't there. Their debt is not my problem.
  21. @the penguins We are going in April and have a TBL guide for 3 days. Could you email me at wrk2cruise at gmail.com as I'm wondering if it is the same guide.
  22. @Poconolady We are doing a similar post cruise trip we planned ourselves in April. Can you explain a bit more about how you got the blue rate applied to your food? Was this cash or credit card? I'm hoping the recent change with Visa/MasterCard using the tourist exchange rate may help. @BlerkOne Since you are traveling now do you have any comments on how you are dealing with the various exchange rates in Argentina? Official, Blue, New Tourist rate by credit card?
  23. I don't believe they have refunded anything for missed ports since the restart. Not on sailings I've been on and have heard others with the same experience.
  24. No an ex cruise director promoted to director of entertainment for the line.
