  1. Don't worry about your selected checkin time if you are a suite guest. It's meaningless, just a side effect of their horrible IT department. Generally boarding starts right around 11. We try to arrive around 10:30 when in a suite.
  2. @terrydtx Let's remember your TA's rep reports up through Celebrity sales management chain. While I agree waste is probably and issue with the buffet I believe it is more staff related. If it was waste then why would they close the grill where things are cooked to order (low waste). With the lobster tails I found it discussing when on Equinox just over a year ago and the guy at the next table in the MDR ordered in excess of 10. I think if they limited to 2 nobody would have complained. I do think they totally mismanaged the changes. They certainly could have made an announcement late fall that starting in January they were going to refresh their MDR menus and make some changes overall to reduce food waste. Lipstick on the pig. Much of the reaction (including mine on my Jan 2 Equinox sailing) was being surprised by the changes. I do hope they listen to feedback and adjust Just my thoughts.
  3. I believe if you are Aqua and assigned to Blu it is the courteous thing to do to ask the Blu hostess to arrange for you to dine in MDR. We don't know what else goes on behind the scenes.
  4. From what I've been reading it's pretty inconsistent between ships at this point.
  5. To suites maybe but CC and Aqua canapes were delivered by stateroom attendants.
  6. This change was made about 3 months ago, not too long after they raised the prices of the specialties about 10-15% as well.
  7. Terminal G and there is a garage directly across the street
  8. I thought I read that ordering off the MDR menu was no longer an option even with the charge but I don't know for sure. I should have checked when I was onboard Equinox early January. Does anyone know for sure at this point?
  9. From the drink package FAQ's. I would think non drinkers could pretty easily get a statement from their Doctor that they don't recommend them to drink alcohol. Recovering alcoholic or medical issue that does not allow guests to consume alcohol. – A Zero Proof drink package will be added.
  10. I've been using Tours By Locals to arrange small groups and sharing with others on the roll call. The only issue is they require pre-payment 30 days in advance although they do let you structure payment so others can pay them directly in advance.
  11. Concierge class rooms tend to be in "better" locations (higher decks) which can justify some of the price difference.
  12. I make all my cruise payments with my CSR card for insurance purposes. I bought $500 of refundable OBC and got the $175 statement credit on my Blue Everyday card.
  13. Did you dispute it on the ship? I know they announced the lobster charge was starting on specific sailing dates of each ship after 1/1. I agree if you sailed on 1/31 you shouldn't have any charges for the complete sailing.
  14. Yes all the Aqua rooms on 9 have the overhang and are below pool so you can hear noise from rolling carts or moving chairs. The overhang can be nice if you don't want a lot of sun and does let you still use the balcony if there is light rain. I personally like deck 11. The balcony's can be a bit smaller and have no overhead protection so they get full sun. These cabins were added just over 10 years ago so are a bit less worn. The aft facing ones are very popular and have probably been sold out long ago. There are very heavy doors to the outside at both ends of both hallways so I wouldn't want to be in the first few cabins on either end. We have been in 1106 and 1108 and think it's a great location right next to the stairs. 1 flight down and you are in the back of the buffet. We have 1110 booked for our March sailing.
  15. On my Equinox B2B earlier this month you took it out of the shell yourself. Actually mine was already out of the shell as I asked for it on a Caesar Salad and it came out with it cut up on top. The rest of the table had to fend for themselves.
  16. I just called Celebrity yesterday on this subject for the 5/2-5/15 Connie sailing. They said there are shuttles for Bologna (earliest flight time 11 am) and Venice (earliest flight time 12:15) on 5/15. She did say however they were both full and wait listed at the moment. The ship docks at 5 am and I suspect they start getting people off the ship very early (like 6) to enable people to get to the flights to the US. We are flying home from Bologna on Delta at 6:30 am so are staying overnight in Bologna so not to stress about it. Well other than getting up very early to catch that flight!
  17. I understand where you are coming from but many of the time sensitive issues are handled by making a booking online to grab that cabin or price and put it on hold. If my TA is not available for a couple days I call Captains Club and ask them to extend the hold. Then I give the held reservation to my TA and let him straighten it out.
  18. Just a note about checking in with the app. The app doesn't ask for your contact phone number, however it does populate the phone number you enter for your emergency contact into your contact number on the reservation. So after checking in with the app I login to the website and review the information there and I then correct my contact phone number and save. I also like to upload a stock photo of myself (vs take a new photo) which you can do on the website and not in the app. I reported this bug to corporate in Nov 2021 when it caused me some problems onboard with B2B testing. Of course it's still there.
  19. Jim the Flights By Celebrity change fee is $200 pp and is charged for any changes made after payment and is independent of any airline fees or lack thereof.
  20. I never use the form. Just call whomever you booked with and have the price adjusted in real time. The advise above is good about putting a mock booking on hold especially if you can't immediately contact your travel provider.
  21. If you are in North America and the price drops before final payment you can contact Celebrity or the TA if you booked using one and reprice at the prevailing rate/promotion. After final payment there is no price adjustment or OBC. The best price guarantee really only is useful if you book after final payment and the price changes within 48 hrs. During covid the policy was much more generous but it has now reverted to the pre-covid terms.
  22. This may be exactly what GC wants. I remember reading that there was a group that wanted no ships to return after covid.
