  1. The typical normal credit for a pre cruise is $750 pp if it was "free/included". But of course flights have to be changed now unless they revise the tour to a Lima type tour.
  2. Yes it was a promotion through 8 Jan on Marina. The normal amount of OBC was $100 - the $300 was a limited time offer. It should have been on the letter that was sent with your paper work. It should have been on the Oceania booking that was provided to you.
  3. They no longer add pages, you have to get a new passport. You should have no issue with the page numbers. We just did a Rome to Miami cruise. Our passports were stamped on on entering into Italy (FCO).
  4. What a load of bad information. @susiesan has it right -- use a passport service. 1) 3 pages may not be enough. It really depends on where you are going. Some countries insist of two consecutive pages (South Africa is one). Many on an Oceania cruise will not stamp your passport or even look at your passport. When they clear a ship, the customs officer may just look a few and then if you are going to Israel you will have a face to face. 2) There is no specific length/duration of passports. Passport center generally gives you a 10 year passport, but it is up to the Dept of State people as to how long they give you. I now have a 4 year passport because of my specific country travels. I also have a 10 year passport that just expired. 3) Do not send your passport FEDEX to the passport center, it does not help. The center is just a way point, after being received your package is sent to one of the many processing centers throughout the country. It is then processed there and that is the biggest time waster. 4) Use a passport service for a quick renewal. I travel for business and have two passports. I trust the people at my passport service to get my passports (every 4 years) renewed within 5 days (they claim they can do it 24 hours) 4) Oceania recommends Visacentral.com I have used them only for O Visas (India, Brazil and China). I recommend passportvisaexpress.com -- have used them for 20 years. Best of luck...
  5. That is because the HQ of the contracting internet company and its IT infrastructure is located in Malabar Florida. Majority of cases will have the IP address from Florida.
  6. Correct. They download their own application when the TV starts up. In the Oceania suite, they have an external blue tooth adapter, but this only connects to the sound system.
  7. I have to agree with @urlaub We left Marina on the 8th. Surprised to see a rusty ship. Large dents in the hull. Rust on our Oceania Suite balcony. Interior suite doors that did not work. Cabinets that did not close. Tired looking furnishings. Food is subjective, but it was disappointing. We came from Regent Splendor and then onto Marina. Regent much better. Never a hot meal in the GDR. Service was hit miss. I blame the INVISIBLE officers.

No issue -- this is the most excitement we have had on this board since last January...

    Did Crystal turn into Costa???
  10. There is never a guarantee of when you will start disembarkation. Bags have to be off loaded, CBP persons in place and ship being cleared. Normal time is 8AM. Last Riviera trip (pre COVID) was delayed until 0845. So you should plan this way. Now if you have a pre stop in San Juan as some O cruises are doing, you will clear CBP in San Juan which will be a zoo, and Miami should be easy. Customs does only a spot check on luggage with no formal line. Did this on Regent at Terminal J last month.
  11. I heard same. There are many Florida crew members at United. Makes sense. Was hoping for some direct flights to EU from MCO like to FRA. Usually take LH to avoid the zoo at EWR, but LH has just switch their daily flight at MCO to Eurowings.
  12. Savers are extremely hard to Sydney. From PPT to MCO was able to find biz at 70K

  14. The land portion while "Complementary" can be deleted for a credit. However the credit is only $750 pp
  15. You all are simplifying a complicated issue of holding companies none of which are public. Abercrombie and Kent -- the travel seller A&K Travel Group Ltd the holding Company which is jointly owned by Mr. Kent and the Heritage group who's CEO is Manfredi Lefebvre. Crystal Cruises Ltd (Bahamas) -- the new Crystal owned by the Travel Group. The ships are owned by the group (at present).
  16. Jan -- if you are doing some touring in Rome, consider a tour by Golf cart. They will go to all of the good spot and can go down the lanes and other areas that cars cannot access. Cuts down on the walking.
  17. Nope -- it is whether they have a clear shot to the satellites from the port. Buildings, other ships, mountains and warehouses will block the signal. Will effect both internet and TV. Sometimes TV only as this might be because of distribution rights issues.
  18. Having sailed on Nautica before (including with you and Steve), that ship is the best run of any Oceania ship. It all comes down to the ships management. I fault the Marina Master and the GM. Neither was nowhere to be found. None of the officers were friendly - like saying hello. Neither matched our last two cruises on Seabourn or Regent where all the management would walk the ship regularly checking things out. On Marina nothing. Occasionally they would appear at barista -- but then to only to drink some coffee. Nautica has done a recent refit so you should be good on the cosmetic aspects, which was lacking on Marina.
  19. And that bus trip from the ship to the Terminal with 80 year olds trying to struggle getting their carry-on's into the bus. No one from Oceania helping. The zoo at the terminal we missed as my DW wanted to leave early. My DW was not impressed with the cruise as she said the best part of the cruise was the disembarkation. Ouch. Our cabin stewards and butler (Larson) are now good friends as they were the best we have had in a long time. They did pamper us too. Hope you had a good flight home.
  20. Always a good site to check... Oceania uses Visa Central for its prepaid visas (India, China). https://visacentral.com/oceania https://visacentral.com/additional-client-info Oceania can arrange visa on board or exemptions is the following countries:Brunei, Cambodia, Gambia, Ghana, Jordan, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Qatar, Senegal, Tanzania, Turkey (72-hour visa exemption when in transit with the ship), United Arab Emirates(UAE), Vietnam. For U.S Citizens, please contact the cruise line directly regarding any questions related to visas required for these destinations: Oceania can discuss the process and any fees that may be required for them to assist with securing visas that may be required for these destinations.
  21. That is not the point. It is the OPs point that they do buy the drink package. It is becoming more typical. Especially if you like at 600- to 800 passenger ship with more space and less crowds. The R ship cabins are very small and poorly layed out. We did a recent Regent cruise, if you add the excursions, and drink packages can compare it to a Marina PH, the price was very similar (O was cheaper but negligibly so). This was Rome to Miami in November. And Splendor was a MUCH better ship than Marina is. Just off Marina on Sunday and it is OLD and looks it. We were in an Oceania suite and our deck had numerous rust spots. Carpet worn. And wait until Crystal comeback, there will be more pressure and comparisons.
  22. I agree but the op is comparing prices to Seabourn and SS. There is no comparison to anything O has compared to SS, Seabourn or Regent. They (the others) are so much better, including inclusions, staff to person ratios, space to passenger, and $ per passenger spent on food.
  23. The idea of sailing on an R ship is that they are closer to the same size as Seabourn or SS. For us 1200 passengers versus 600 or 700 is huge. You just have to look at the Marina lounge stadium style and compare it to Seabourn or Regents lounges
  24. They did the same on Marina. Now if you think saving one hour will reduce greenhouse emmissions to zero well..... Save $$$$ that is the only reason.
