  1. 1) there is a check-in window on your Travel Summary, right under the itinerary. Anytime within that window 2) usually, yes, you can drop luggage around 9 or later and return to the port later on to complete check-in and board. 3) yes, same menu in all 5 dining rooms. Decor is different in each of them, that's the only difference. 4) luggage tags are available to print approximately 75 days prior.
  2. No, the balcony door is not locked while at sea, or any other time - unless you yourself lick it. You can use the balcony whenever you like. At night, you cannot use the balcony light and your drapes need to be kept closed (no light leakage) in order to not interfere with the bridge, navigation, etc. Enjoy the extra deep balcony - fab views when pulling into port, etc. It can be quite windy up there, which can make the balcony uncomfortable to use, but you can use it whenever you like.
  3. Only in operation while casino is open, and there's a time limit on entries +detailed in the FAQs). Good luck.

  6. Nope, not like Royal. On Princess, same price in advance as aboard, for virtually everything, including spa treatments (although there are "specials" aboard for spa) Plus Cruise Package is $60 per night whether in advance or aboard. You may or may not get a few free drinks in the casino, but don't count on it. You won't get 4 automatically like Royal, etc. Plus Cruise Package is $60usd pp per night: $16 per person per night for crew appreciation (daily service charge) $24.99 per night for one device WiFi (one device at a time) That's $41usd per night for gratuity and WiFi alone, per person. Of course, if you decide to share the WiFi between you, that brings it down a bit.. At $60 -41= $19. That $19 covers drinks including specialty coffees, bottles of water, any booze, etc, plus any room service($5 per order when ordered by room phone).or Ocean Now delivery (one time $14.99 activation without a package), premium desserts, and a portion of it covers the 2 casual dining meals and exercise classes (2 per Plus Cruise Package), plus medallion shipping ($10 without a package). If the math works for you, go for it. Buy aboard if you have any OBC.. you also get a $10 OBC credit buying aboard for the medallion shipping you didn't use in advance..
  7. No, not all Princess excursions would be booked full by now. Some will be, probably, but definitely not all for every port. No, there is now way to check that prior to booking.. Maybe Book a refundable deposit, then you can see excursion options and spaces available and decide. If they're full, you could cancel as you're outside final payment...
  8. Dan quit posting about Sun maybe 2 or more weeks ago,, and none of Corinne's or any other CD staff posts have mentioned Dan for 2 or 3 weeks. Jayson was moved from Enchanted, seemingly last minute. Looks like he's Corinne's new assistant/partner/second.. Very curious what happened with Dan, he and Corinne would have made a great team. Jayson is pretty fab also, he and Corinne will do wonderfully as well ..
  9. Same as above. It will list "water shuttle" or "tender" on itinerary... If no ports have that listed by them, then you don't have any tender/water shuttle ports..
  10. The Lotus Spa pool (called the Lap Pool on the deck plan at the website) is one deck down from the Sanctuary, surrounded by the spa on Caribbean Princess. Adult only, as noted, and open to anyone, yeah, hot rubs set into/next to it. I was incorrect aboutve on the no hot tubs. Getting ships mixed up again, 🤦🏻‍♀️ It is usually very quiet as most people assume it's either associated to the Sanctuary only or pay venue of some sort. It was great when it used to have the current machine, so you could swim against the current for a fab workout. Those have gone the way of the dodo.
  11. It hasn't been sailing empty for the last 9 or so years It's a standard Penthouse Suite. Looks just like the photos at the website, or the hundreds of YouTube videos/photos online.. Gonna look just like this: Fab location for access to Concierge Lounge.
  12. That is the understanding. All suites are "Signature Suites" and have the Signature Lounge and Signature Restaurant for their enjoyment, along with a section of the Sanctuary. Princess doesn't have Junior Suites as a category BTW. Suite Mini-suites Deluxe Balcony Balcony Oceanview Interior (Sun Princess doesn't have standard Balcony, only Deluxe Balcony)..
  13. Lots of other perks for a suite as opposed to a Reserve mini-suite. Mini-bar, suite breakfast, ordering from MDR for room service, priority embarkation and tender, shoe shine, laundry, etc. Plus, of course, space . And the new Sphere class ships, ie Sun and Star, do have a suite restaurant, and a Reserve restaurant. Worth is in the eye of the beholder. Only you know what you value.. Personally, suite - yes. Reserve (or any mini) nope, not worth it to me. YMMV.
  14. It's TX liquor laws. Something to do with only being able to sell/serve liquor/drinks sourced in or TX tax paid on said drinks. While in TX waters, only those drinks made, sourced or tax paid on such available. Very limited options, including soda, booze, etc. You'll receive $25 OBC to cover any purchases while packages and/or full bar service is unavailable. There's a few sodas and booze options available during that time, but not the full bar.. And yes, upon return to TX, you're supposed to declare any booze purchased abroad or aboard and pay TX liquor tax on it. Anything bought aboard will be declared for you, while whatever you buy independently is up to you to declare and pay.
  15. Correct. (Assuming Standard fare, no Cruise Packages). One time $14.99 Ocean Now activation and you can use it to order food and drinks for delivery anywhere around the ship including cabin delivery (no additional charge for cabin delivery) The $5 room service delivery fee is for orders placed using your room phone. Use the app and bypass the $5 phone charge. Breakfast is included no additional charges when using the door hanger..
  16. 1). There is a boarding window for everyone, usually 3 or so hours. While those with status and suites have priority embarkation, that's only matter when embarkation begins. Once embarkation has begun and the initial line is through, it's board as you like, basically in order of arrival. So, unless you absolutely have to be among the first aboard, simply show up at port about 30 minutes after the boarding window opens and you'll essentially walk right on. It's same as how boarding was with Celebrity prior to about 2017/2018 give or take. The boarding window is on your Travel Summary under the itinerary. 2) very incorrect. Reserve your table for 2 at the time you like. Once aboard, if you like your wait staff, speak to the maitre'd and ask for same table each night. They're quite accommodating. 3) yes, unless you're Elite status (Platinum also?) , MDR reseervations are not available til after final payment... You could theoretically pay early and make reservations earlier. It's not an issue, there's plenty of spots in all three MDR (3 MDR, all same menu, kitchen, service, etc). 4) there may or may not be a lot of kids. Same as Celebrity at that time. Adult only pool is as crowded or uncrowded as anywhere else depending on demographics, those demographics preferences, weather, etc. I've never ever had a problem getting a lounger around any of the pools or nearby on upper deck or slightly away from directly at the pool - but then, I'm not super particular where my chairs are in relation to the pool, as in I don't have to be pool front directly. And, Princess rolls towels and sets them in chairs - don't mistake those for chairs that are taken. 5) yes, there's a decent amount of ta kes aft of the buffet. One thing on Princess - the buffet is open continually from 6am to 10:30/11am. It does not close down completely in between meals like Celebrity. Different sections will close as they set up for the next meal, but there's always some portion open continually - so always something to eat, snack, and tables available as the crowds are spread out over much longer times.. 6) atrium, Take 5, Crown Grill bar, etc. you'll have to check out the options once aboard as the bands change up periodically.. Have a great time!
  17. 100% you're welcome anywhere aboard regardless of purchasing a beverage - alcohol or non-alcoholic - or not. You can participate in the activities, listen to the music, dance or just relax in any of the lounges whether you buy a drink or not. Buying a drink is not a requirement of lounge use. You can order a glass of water at any bar or lounge.. coffee or ice tea may be limited in some bars/lounges3, but you can order via app ($14.99 one time activation fee) or you can bring a cup oe glass with you from wherever you get it..
  18. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3VvJlyphD7/?igsh=c280MjBheTN1emlq The above photo is a screen grab from this reel from Princess. The cabin ***** is right after the Signature Lounge shots. Cabin shown is a suite. Blink and you missed it .
  19. To be fair, that pool at the pointy end is crew only.. But yes, Lotus Spa pool is forward of the forward elevators. Pretty sure CB still has the free steam/sauna in female/male changing rooms. Definitely tour the Thermal Suite before buying it...
  20. My carry-on has valuables, meds, change of clothes - that stays with me, whether flights or boarding ship, hotel early check-in, whatever. It's lightweight, easy to carry and I'm not handing over jewelry, meds, etc to porters/bell desk, checked baggage, etc. That stuff stays on me till it goes in appropriate safe or whatever.. YMMV.
  21. No Retreat Pool or hot tubs in Caribbean Princess. Again, those are Royal class ships spaces. Lotus Spa pool on CB is open to anyone (adult) no charge.
  22. Omw device at a time. You can use as many devices as you want, share among as many people as you want - as long as it's one device at a time. Logging in to a new device will bump off the last device, etc.
  23. No pool or hot tub or any water function at all in any Grand or Island class ships. The hydropool wasn't introduced til Royal Princess, and later ships . It is just a few heated tile loungers, steam and sauna. In a windowless dark area . I'd strongly suggest touring it first before buying it - personally, I wouldn't pay for it. It's quiet and all, but nothing special or such. I can relax in my cabin with a hot steamy shower, lol.
  24. You can walk forward to aft outside on the promenade deck. You can't go all the way around the ship as in Grand class ships, but you can go basically from just behind the theater all the way aft outdoors.. some parts are quite narrow, but you're outside and views and sounds of sea . There's a wide more comfortable seating area outside Crooners and outside the jewelry store on the other side Video showing the walk:
  25. As clearly noted, that thread was merged to this one. It is no longer a separate thread.
