  1. OBC is immediate, but refresh your screen. Visa payment refund will take 'a while'.
  2. When I re-booked an excursion, I did a mock booking first to make sure there was 1. a reduction and 2. availability. That was definitely less costly. However, when checking on dining, pricing had gone up from my original cost.
  3. Just wondering....this wouldn't be considered 'snarky'? as discussed on another thread....😉.
  4. Do it right away before X wonderful system changes the pricing. Open your cruise, go to your top right Initials, access order history, cancel the item(s), then go into the dining or excursion area of PMCruise and reorder. You'll get an instant confirmation of cancelling and re-ordering and refund to either Visa or OBC, whichever you used. In my case it was a combination of both.
  5. In addition to above......Just cancelled all 3 Specialty dining reservations (some OBC, others $$s), then booked the 3 night package...saved $125.66 Cdn. Well worth picking our times onboard which might not be the original choices.
  6. Yes...cancel, then rebook. The 'system' automatically notes you have a reservation on that date and time.
  7. Thanks OP for posting. I was able to change an excursion, saving $65 Cdn. Couldn't access dining options....each specialty restaurant says "sold out, Currently unavailable, but we’re working on it." Been like that for over a week. Anyone else have access?
  8. Do you know where the Eclipse would be in Nov. '24? Sounds like it's changing ports?
  9. Or maybe I should have queried the various cruise critic know-it-alls. 👎
  10. Agree...but....perhaps some of those 'cancelled' cabins are TA's releasing their unsold and on hold cabins. JMO.
  11. Was the higher cost cabin kept? Perhaps with volunteers cancelling, the non-cancelled cabin had the complication removed?
  12. Considering one poster said there were 2+ bookings for their cabin, does anyone know how the decision was made re who kept the cabin? First booked, most paid, short straw selection? I'd hate to think it was arbitrary with no logic behind the choice.
  13. Why just the Infinity? Is it itinerary or cabin cost? As other posters have mentioned, other somewhat older Celebrity ships are in good shape. If you get everything you're looking for in a cruise from NCL, it's best to not change if Celebrity is an upcharge for your wants and you won't enjoy your vacation.
  14. In the long ago past X oversold our fully paid cruise, sent us notification via a TA that we could still sail, but cancel if we chose, and if we did, we received fully paid cruise fare refunded and 6 wk in the future cruise free. DH and I agreed that was a no brainer. That was our first X cruise and their offer cemented our loyalty. I realize they could not do that with so many ships/passenger cabins oversold. But a little 'extra' to sweeten the taste of being cancelled is IMO the way to treat the customer. I wonder if X insurance would cover some or all of the 'sweetness'?
  15. Your next week sailing was oversold....? and your Oct. 12, '23 was also oversold? I thought the problem was isolated to Japan cruises....not? I'm starting to wonder if Nov. '23 cruise will be affected.
  16. I understand your 'closeness'.......being too close is wonderful for the dog...but the owner suffers when the pet passes....went through it with a beautiful little bichon; can't bring myself to have another.
  17. That's the way our laundry came back....! When I wanted to return the neat little baggie parcel I left it on our bed more than once. Our butler kept returning it to us. Guess he meant for us to use it for the 'next' laundry deposit...☺️.
  18. Oddly....my friend on Oceania came down with covid and the ship doctor provided Paxlovid. Wonder if X will do the same.
  19. Thanks for the 'photo review'....I enjoyed renewing memories from past cruises. Too bad the weather didn't allow photos of our beautiful mega city Toronto from the air.
  20. Because some contradict your OPINION doesn't make them haters. Why is the language so strong on this thread and why such defense both pro and con. If you think you won't like the IV, don't book the IV. I like the X product but not the IV. This lessens my choices for which X ships to sail (unless in a suite). Which may push me to another line. I don't think posters wish those who dislike IVs to not exist.
  21. I've made both Special and Select dining reservations in the past few weeks....no check box. Whoops....I'd better check, I now read it's hidden in the 'accept the terms and conditions' box.
