  1. ☺️...At least you get to the 11th! 7 more holes for 28 strokes gives you 87! Not bad at all. BTW...isn't that Sloth Tour something else? As a bonus, we had the pleasure of a bug invasion when the 'boat' got caught in the mud.
  2. ( I don't even play my age anymore ) ! Well, when you're 59 don't expect to! And if you DO shoot 59 consistently, don't cruise....go on the 'tour'...πŸ˜‰
  3. We were in Silhouette SS corner aft deck 8, probably same deck layout as Reflection. Loved the cabin, closet space, and wrap around balcony. We also were in mid ship Equinox SS which had a smaller balcony than the aft. Cabin seemed smaller as well. We prefer aft cabins so may be biased.
  4. You got all your thoughts out in a run on sentence...good for you! Now we're into TV shows for an explanation for the OV's lack of dining options. I can see where this will lead. Maybe it's time for this thread to wind down? How much more can be said? πŸ˜‰
  5. So nice to hear from someone actually onboard in a position to provide their opinion, in this case, positive. ☺️
  6. We prefer to get our own early morning (time varies) coffee and pastries rather than book room service or bother the butler so the 'spill the coffee ON ME' thing is a concern. I take two of their large dinner plates...one for 2 coffees/cream and one for pastries. Works quite well with no spill (yet). I leave the cabin door ajar so I can get in easy with a little push.
  7. You have raised a good point, but in reverse...suppose the MDR service and menu offerings took on the OV style because it's indicated here that it's the people's preference - although they are not in the majority? Most would really have a reason to complain. The OV is providing an alternative to the MDR, not a replacement of a complete menu. The alternative has not been taken away, but reduced. Within those food groups there is variety if the menus reported here are accurate. From what's posted here, some want all their dinners in the OV, some want a 'place to dine' after a late excursion, some don't go at all. With a hit and miss like this, how can X provide a full menu for an undetermined number of diners? IMO it's good the diners are being counted and the use is monitored. Something beneficial for OV diners may come out of this with actual study.
  8. Another blast from the past!! I thought it was the Shadow??
  9. So sorry you had to push....I know what it's like, but tenacity wins over when you're in the right. As you know, it's very important to keep all the back up documents. I keep spread sheets covering all our cruises so at least I can refer to the $$s, what they represent, when they're spent, and by what means.
  10. Something is wrong with my taste buds....I don't mind pork & beans on occasion but not when its a main dish and I'm paying for steak (as an example). BTW...they serve it as a side dish in the Lawn Club Grill, nicely spiced.
  11. You are a very patient person....18 months would be about 16 months longer than I would be able to wait. How did you get through to them and did they offer an excuse or was it blame on X?
  12. Hi to you too....Concierge is a class of cabin which has its own entitlements, but doesn't include the drink package. Captains Club is a title for those who achieve a certain points level, ie: your Elite/Diamond status...also doesn't include drink package. I can only speak to AI as that is what we book. You're sailing in a few days so perhaps sign in to your booking on the Celebrity site; there's a complete list which will tell you all the levels and what is included in each. Hope the list below helps. Enjoy your cruise! Copied from Captains Club Tier Benefits for Elite: Access to exclusive daily coffee house-style breakfast and Evening Cocktail Hour 30% off Wi-Fi package or Wi-Fi upgrade 15% off Drink Package or upgrade to Premium pre-cruise (if you don't have a prepaid pkg) Complimentary access to Persian Garden (on one port day) One complimentary bag of laundry (wash, dry, fold) on every sailing
  13. No pool or hot tub...we were on her Nov. '22; no service bar but there is a deck attendant who will take food and drink orders and put towels on your lounge chair.
  14. haha...that was me....but la sauce est tout....wonder if more brown sugar sweetens the dish ? πŸ€”
  15. Speaking from experience in a very large corporation within the exec. office, and if X operates similarly, there is more than 'one' lady or person handling these contacts. The calls to the executive office are redirected to another pertinent department (manager?) for action. They react very quickly when being contacted by the President's Office. I've had reason to reach out to them and each time had a response from a different, kind lady by phone or email with almost instant satisfaction, follow up, or resolve. This issue is becoming more paramount than my requests for satisfaction. I would think there will now be a pat answer until they come up with a unified decision as it's nothing that can be resolved individually but involves policy.
  16. We will miss his calming and appropriate responses. The happy times you enjoyed with him as you travelled life's path together will live on in your memory.
  17. I can think of one more....the chefs are working with what they have on hand in the larder....then the real change across the board will be evident.
  18. Don't let this criticism of Celebrity dissuade you from enjoying your cruise. This site is famous for beating the line with a rubber hose. Posting current menus will help you decide if dining is your main reason for cruising. You mentioned MDR which will offer palatable options if not some items posters here have taken for granted in the past and sincerely wish to continue. Menus will change if you're Suite or Aqua class due to allocated restaurants.
  19. Maybe the OP is a frustrated OP ED writer and has found his/her place here on CC...😁
  20. That is uncooked....they actually are good when prepared correctly.
  21. No...we haven't ordered more than one entree...having trouble stuffing in all the foods available during the day as it is....light lunch included. Guess we're not getting our money's worth. But, would like the MDR menu to keep escargot and shrimp cocktail, onion soup etc...more items on Luminae menu for choice. This will probably not happen as it affects the bottom profit line.
