  1. Well, guess you could approximate by looking at distance from table to where the wait staff picks up food, number of courses, bites per course, chews per bite, and time per chew. Later data for slowest chewer. Or, just have a great cruise.
  2. No, not usually, but often there will be cancellations. So, check to get on a waiting list.
  3. Us too, as well as, freshly squeezed OJ and mixed juices outside the spa.
  4. This is their documented policy. You obviously thought it was good value when you booked. Be grateful your able to go on a cruise and have a great trip.
  5. A similar question, what port do you most enjoy watching pier runners from?
  6. Thank you for the great review, you gave me something new to add to the bucket list.
  7. To be safe, tell them which drinks you’re ordering on tge beverage package.
  8. Was on Allure in August and had paper Compass each night. But what a change over the past 10 years. All the beautiful magazines in cabin are gone. Cruise lines must be saving a forest each week!
  9. Have a great trip! We always do late dining as Med cruises are port intensive. Don’t want to stand in line for MTD.
  10. Favourites: Barcelona (close to old city and La Rambla); Cape Liberty (we can drive to easily from Toronto); Dubai (beautiful) Least Favourites: Any port far from the advertised city: Civitavecchia; Southampton
  11. Yes, they still have paper and, IMHO, they are not going away anytime soon.
  12. We’re up to 30 cruises and never had an issue bringing anything back on ship. Given most ports have local treats in port shops, it’s a given.
  13. We always request before cruise as my DW has food allergies and we want to avoid possible cross contamination. This being said, quite frequently they did n’t heed this when doing the schedule. So, it is part of our regular routine to go MDR soon after boarding to make sure everything is straightened out. They always accommodate, just sometimes takes a little time.
  14. We’ve done both. We’ll do the Bayonne Bahamas run for the ship and just the break. We do other trips (like Vision out of Dubai) for the itinerary.
  15. I am truly sorry for your wife’s previous accident and hope she soon recuperates fully. However, your words “as a physician” - did you not evaluate your wife’s condition prior to going on a long drive, spending a day at Disney and expecting to get on a cruise for a few days with no issues? Royal’s present policy is well documented. Any culpability lies with you, an intelligent rational being.
  16. Check out Carnival Celebration leaving from Miami on June 17 for 8 nights. Or, Celebrity Equinox leaving from Fort Lauderdale on June 24 also for 8 nights. Both go to Aruba and Curaçao. Good luck.
  17. What month is your cruise? I did a quick search for Royal going to Aruba and most months there are multiple ships visiting. Exceptions being June and July when it’s only Mariner and August and October, when there are no scheduled stops. Good luck and happy anniversary!
  18. When needed I’ve always used a digital copy in the wallet of my iPhone and have had no issues. We do always have a hard copy as well but have never needed.
  19. However, a good reservation system will save money in the long term. Less customers calling to complain and tying staff up. Time = Money
  20. Vision is old but some great itineraries. We sailed her in the Arabian Gulf in ‘17, great itinerary.
  21. One opportunity for RCI is to update their systems. These errors are happening with greater frequency and the staff is not trained/empowered to resolve quickly. You think with the cost of a new ship over a billion, they’d have a few M to upgrade their reservations system which is bread and butter.
