  1. Common courtesy anytime of the day as there are late sleepers and nappers, or just people who do not wish to be disturbed. Yesterday in the store, my husband was refolding a shirt after trying it on and a clerk approached him saying “I should give you a dollar for that. I’ve never seen anyone do that before”. 😂
  2. Two points being made here: Carnival’s wording wouldn’t pass third grade English. If they change the requirements, they need to refund 100% and offer inconvenience compensation. They also know they may change the rules. The sooner vaccine and testing mandates disappear, the better
  3. I know it has been on their website. I only commented on the contradiction where they state if you are more than 6 months past your initial doses, you need to have a booster. Then they state that your booster needs to be within 6 months (no later than 6 months) of your primary. Fully vaccinated and up to date were never mentioned.
  4. The point is that you don’t check to see where an elevator is going and then get on. That defeats the whole purpose and creates chaos. You NEED to input where you want to go for each person and then it will tell you which car to take. Then just like magic you get on the elevator going where you want to go. I don’t understand why it is so difficult for people to comprehend.
  5. None of those things are in protocol or required. Cases ebb and flow everywhere all the time. The obvious reality is we need to move on. Don't get too upset.
  6. You quoted me but I never blamed Carnival. It is totally Bermuda trying to make a buck off tourists. I could see a small fee (maybe $10) for individuals since they need to do a little paperwork. But the cruise line would have one manifest with all the names cleared for them. No work on Bermuda’s part at all.
  7. Please send me $50. It won’t be wasted. Lol Just like having a sale price for a hugely overpriced item. People think it is such a bargain they rush out to purchase even though it is still overpriced. The point is there should be no fee for such things.
  8. So by paying a fee, you are not contagious for Covid? Why hasn’t the US thought of this? We could have saved so many people.
  9. You want to book using the VIFP offer for two cabins and then change cabins to get the cheers offer. It’s one or the other. You can easily change where you sleep and have no problems with you charge accounts. If you have a PVP, check and see if you can get more than one cabin with one of your VIFP offers. I was able to do that recently and book up to three cabins. Depends on the offer.
  10. The only possible way the ship could be responsible for anyone picking up covid on the ship is if they require a neg test 5 days prior to boarding and then quarantine at the terminal—individual rooms— and then another neg test before allowed out of their room. Even then it would be possible for a case to slip through with a longer incubation. And no one is allowed off the ship until final departure. It is impossible for there not to be a good chance of cases on board and the cruise line cannot change or be responsible for science. They are not responsible if you pick up a cold on a cruise.
  11. I’ve never had to use the insurance but why have it if you are not going to use it? Why should the person with insurance not cancel and get their benefit? I realize this may raise the price for the person still going but wouldn’t their insurance cover that—if they have it.
  12. I wasn't talking rights. I was talking about common courtesy. But again, people jump right to defending their "rights". And I never mentioned eat and run. Just a reasonably paced dinner without unnecessarily holding up others.
  13. No posted time limit but common courtesy tells you not to dilly dally when people are waiting. For those who responded that in the old days it may have lasted two hours are talking about the set dining times. Because every table was seated at one time, it naturally took longer and that was planned for. Now, with YTD it is more important, and easier, to keep people moving. If you want to sit around and drink before ordering, do it at the bar.
  14. No, as I said, we allowed for the conversion and put out $1.50 above that. (And they will certainly get a better conversion rate at the bank than they allow tourists) There should have been change. We were actually hoping for pesos. Had not even gotten to the tip yet. We always pay our bill and then tip cash so the waiter gets it. Even in this country, we are ALWAYS brought the change unless we state otherwise. They got a 15% tip. They were charging more than menu price for the meal alone. They were just upset that some of those Americans can do math.
