  1. Are you saying you reserve your chair with a shirt instead of a towel and that makes it OK? Especially since it is only one chair. Can't three people be giving them money at a bar at the same time? Or did you mean you move all your posessions when you move to another area?
  2. Point was they got caught for smuggling which became obvious because they were pouring drinks on Lido. Not because they were drinking outside their cabin.
  3. These all sound like a hoot for the surprisers. Maybe not so much for the surprised. Make absolutely sure they are the type to appreciate your fun at their expense. I would be furious with you as you make me feel like an idiot.
  4. Maybe they should be prohibited since because they don’t provide them, they are not expecting them in the trash. Then when yours show up, they get missed, adding to the problem. They have a very good reason for not providing them but self important people bring their own—or do you take them home with you to dispose.
  5. Just to the left of GS is a ledge with the schedules. No need to stand in line. Cabin service has been once a day for several years and is fine with us. Just need change of towels and make the bed. Yes, debarkation on Carnival has become a mess. Express walk-off is not express but mixed in with all others. I can see how that may be more efficient for Carnival but most people who take their own bags expect to get off sooner that they can.
  6. My charging cables and power strip are household goods. A fan is a household good.
  7. My sister in law would always feel ill on a ferry or small boat but never on the ship.Worst thing you can do is plan to be sick. You won’t enjoy planning or the cruise.
  8. Getting tested is not a huge problem (except that in some cities you need a car for drive-through as the only nearby testing available). Testing positive in a port city, unable to cruise and unable to fly home is a problem.
  9. What difference does it make? If it's just idle curiosity, you won't have any better information from answers on here than you had before posting the question.
  10. Sounds like dad and girl friend were late to port and missed the ship. Novel way to get the ship to return to port and pick them up. Obviously they were on the manifest or would not have been allowed to board.
  11. In the context of this thread, I assume “pre-departure” meant departure FROM the ship. I assume you are talking about departure on a ship. Hank clearly used the proper term debarkation. Confusing terms maybe but I hate when people don’t read what others are thinking. 😂
  12. I'm guessing he could drink the bottles you bring on board in your/his cabin. If you have an 18 year old guy into wine. lol
  13. Thank you for finally admitting the ridiculousness of all this testing and hoopla. You don’t believe the test results of the thousands of individuals who report mild or no symptoms. I believe most of the positive results but disregard them as insignificant.
  14. So your assertion of half the ship testing positive means there was a passenger manifest of 200. Yes, there is covid on ships. There is covid everywhere. Some people get it—some don’t. Those are facts.
  15. Half your group is half the ship? Extraordinary does not mean half. It could be 20 people is extraordinary to some. And apparently this was well known (if true) at disembarkation so yeah, it would have been newsworthy. And if none of those people tested, then how can they say they had Covid. People are so gullible.
  16. You still haven’t shown where those factual numbers came from. What cleaning and hand washing? They clean every cabin and other surfaces in spite of Covid not being transmitted from surfaces so no problem there. Hand washing is up to individuals and if YOU wash your hands and keep them away from your mouth, you’re good.
  17. And I think we would have heard it on the national news if true.
  18. I think there is something to be said for getting a little exposure in small doses over time boosting ones immunity. Kids who play in the dirt once in a while seem to remain healthier than those who live in sanitized households.
  19. I think the point being made was that you can test positive anytime. That theoretical positive test was not because of the airport as it would be extremely unlikely to test positive within 24 hours of exposure.
  20. Cancelling may incur fees as stated plus the price may have changed. Call Carnival and explain and depending on the 30 day rule they will be very helpful. TA needs to release but they really don't want you if you are dissatisfied with them. Too much bad publicity.
  21. It’s not so much the clothing but the extras. Hiking boots usually get worn on the plane. Workout shoes, flip flops, sandals, dress shoes. Hair brush, first-aid/med kit, IPad, charging cords, beach bag, coffee mug, water bottle, sometimes snorkel gear. I usually wear a Tshirt on the plane and that becomes my night shirt. I will wear a clean tshirt for the day and then use it for the gym the next day (possibly sleeping in it in between) lol.
  22. So frustrating that I am seeing nothing like this. Get emails and the best they are is $275-300 starting price for interior plus taxes. Cruise the website and still nothing. I had an amazing deal in Jan so maybe I am done.
