  1. We did a great excursion in Lofoten which we booked on line. It was a RIB tour that took us into Trollfjord and to see Sea Eagles. https://www.lofoten-explorer.no/en/ I know we also went into Trollfjord on the Journey, but it was a very different experience in a RIB.
  2. I thought you could order room service from the MDR menu in any stateroom during dining room hours.
  3. I noticed the inconsistencies in points - same route in the same type of cabin in different years gives 2 points and 51 points. However I do remember that at some time the points system changed altogether, tho’ I can’t remember how or exactly when.
  4. Quite agree that this package is excellent value for longer cruises, provided you are sure you will use what it offers (Wifi, laundry, spa, speciality restaurants, drinks package, excursion OBC etc).
  5. Midnight sun was Azamazing. We had white night in the arctic circle and it was quite mild
  6. It can vary so much. We did a Norway cruise with Azamara and it was actually much colder in Flam than in the Arctic Circle. It was snowing when we got off the Flam railway. At the North Cape (furthest north we went) it was not as cold as it was further south.
  7. What a good idea, I’ll do that today.
  8. Just reposting the link to the spreadsheet again to save people looking for it. Usual health warning that some of is pretty old now - pre COVID. & pre Sycamore. If you see something that you know has changed, please let me know. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE/edit
  9. Yes, they do - very unfair. Have to say that we’re sun lovers, so if it’s a sea day we’ll be on Deck 11 where there’s plenty of space.
  10. I’ve always had answers from Circle, but it may take a while. After 2 weeks I usually follow up with an email, saying ‘I wrote you you on … regarding …. and haven’t yet had a reply’. That usually get a reply back pretty quickly.
  11. We’re fine thanks, Brenda. Regards to Jim!
  12. I would have expected at least 15% off the price of the cruise. As a matter of interest is the new 9 day price less or more than the price at which you booked?
  13. I think it was Guest Relations on Quest who are poor, not Onward
  14. It also says testing is required in Lima on Azamara’s website
  15. Azamara sometimes offers tours with an airport drop off. They’re often marked as being for people with a flight after 2, so you might just qualify.
  16. Never been on Celebrity so I can’t compare, but just a few things to add. We love the sun deck, deck 11. There are loads of sun beds up there well spread out. If you like shade there are plenty of sun beds on Deck 5 and it’s very quiet & peaceful there. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed any lack of cleanliness around the ships - I was on the Quest in October. As Edinburghgirl1 says the crew and officers are excellent and for us that is one of Azamara’s main USPS. They cannot do enough for you and because it’s a small ship they get to know you and your likes and dislikes very quickly. We love the food in Discoveries MDR and also love eating in the Patio (outdoor grill on the Pool Deck.
  17. Excursions are often not listed so far ahead, there will be more later. Don’t worry, if you book one then a better one comes up later it’s easy to cancel and rebook through your Voyage Planner, especially if you’re using OBC. Even if you pay by cash it’s still easy, the money just goes back to your card for the cancelled excursion, then retaken for the new one. Most excursions are cancellable up to 48hours beforehand. A few specialist ones, such as those including private drivers or overnight stays have a longer cancellation deadline, but it’s usually clearly stated.
  18. Wowee - I hope Pursuit has some in March.
  19. Not sure what you are referring to. Eating areas on Azamara are Discoveries main dining room, deck 5 aft, Windows buffet, deck 9 aft (includes sunset veranda seating area (and bar on Journey & Quest)). Patio just outside Windows on Deck 9. The two speciality restaurants are Prime C & Aqualina, deck 10 aft. Then there’s Mosaic cafe on Deck 5 just near the aft elevators which serves hot drinks and a variety of snacks throughout the day, and afternoon tea & early evening tapas in the Living Room on deck 10 forward.
