  1. non suite travellers we have all- in pre paid grats we tip when luggage is delivered esp if they bring it in.. we tip for room service or special requests other than that, we are guided by performance!
  2. each cruise port has its own unique vibe each cruiser has their own tastes and preferences as well... We prefer Tropical but enjoy most ports, some more appreciated than others...Nassau not among the ones we appreciate!
  3. Well said! That's how greed works! Now everyone is special! And some can become special just by purchasing the "jump the line" day pass! Too many suites has led to overcrowded priority boarding areas without enough seats, no snacks .(BEYOND) Then at the end of the cruise, we were all stuffed into the priority disembark area too! ( BEYOND) Overcrowding at the outdoor Retreat area.. Slow lunch and drink service! (BEYOND) Lack of sufficient wait staff in Luminae, SLOW kitchen, undercooked food , slimy shrimp, bread shortages at times. Overcrowding at special events, We sailed in a SS BEFORE the butlers were cut...and used up our fccs for payment but do not see value in us booking one again . Much better value for us booking AQ Class, Concierge Class or Sunset Veranda. We'll see if "new blood" starts booking Retreat as many experienced suite cruisers move out!
  4. The Roof top Grill menu seemed much nicer now. When we went on EDGE on its initial sailings, it was mostly burgers and huge fries..Service was SLOW although only a few tables seated. So SLOW that they refunded our charges and begged us not to give bad reviews! We did finslly get our meal...but left before dessert. For Ascent, we booked ahead at $ 94.36 for two for dinner for Tortola ! Looked like a good deal with the discount. hoping for nice weather!
  5. sounds like the Infinity is about the worst...glad Connie not terrible!
  6. glad it worked out.. Concierge is a much better choice..probably as to location and the perks! Have fun!
  7. French Quarter a must...a nice lunch..authentic food, and trolley to and from the Garden District one day is not enough!
  8. Glad we are booked there on our Jan Ascent cruise.. that looks like a great meal! And a warm cookie
  9. Great photos .Glad that at least mother nature is not falling short for you! Sorry your experience so far is so so..You might like an E Class ship instead.
  10. maybe NCL is more free range drink.oriented..Some bars on X have set drink menus ( World Class Bar,) or Signature drinksm
  11. We have it stowed along with the Hoppen vase that does not hold water..and of course who needs all those Hoppe pillows..if possible bring on a fresh floral arrangement for the niche..
  12. Hope they devise a better plan..very unsanitary having dirty dishes and glasses along the floor..next thing you know we'll have rats!
  13. After a few nights in Luminae on BEYOND...we happily escaped to BLU...much nicer menu, fresher food including a bread basket, and 4 star service! No upcharge. We also really enjoyed Raw on 5....go early with res. Much more than sushi! Upcharge.
  14. on BEYOND, we actually had " hanging chair" hogs who would race in early and keep the seats all day.. I.saw no value but it mostly kept them out of the pool!
  15. we have been doing mostly E Class since they came out, but are booked on Silho Concierge Class for a short cruise in Dec 2024.. There have been pos reviews so we'll give it a try going back to S Class! Looking forward to the Lawn Club Grill. OP Depending on price and itin you might want to book it....
  16. Cruise season for us is non hurricane season E Coast US/ Canada, Bermuda Carib and Mex ..and non rainy season elsewhere. Went through a near miss hurricane in Antigua in Nov one yr..scary. They told us to stay in our room and gave out candles! We try to avoid chilly weather in Bermuda and Bahamas. And we prefer cruising from our Fl base..That avoids all past snow and ice storm stress we used to go through 2x each winter... We now stick closer to home than you do. Have cruised from Barcelona and Cv Italy. We hate to fly, have a modest budget, and are enjoying more seasonal time in Paradise ... Venice/ Sarasota, W Coast Fl.. Summers on LI NY where we live, as you know, are the best..love my garden! Our Princess GB Cruise was canx when our dtr got very sick and we never got back to that....maybe some day! We.have been considering Iceland and Greenland but we'll see what develops with situation in Iceland. Sal would like a historic river cruise on the Mississippi...
  17. thanks.. it lists scotch and Coors light for my husb, and while NO Baileys for me there is Tia Maria and Kalhua ( great in coffee) Baileys is slight upcharge..usually not added, esp if you tip extra
