  1. Thanks for a very infirmatuve and fun review! We are back to AQ class on ASCENT ..looking forward to BLU and spa
  2. When we only had the Classic Alc package as part of our perks, I .had my Baileys daily. Waiter could not be bothered to charge diff in costs from Classic to Premium..Tip well, get served well! We usually get included grats, Elite + wifi and sometimes the package has extra minutes..not needed, Elite + laundry perk . Recently had to accept NRD but consequences seem not that bad... Sticking with X but we cruise less often nowadays!
  3. One is very noisy...ball to paddle.. other is featherlite..no annoying noise!
  4. Top 10 review! Thanks CGTNORMANDIE..Hope All Goes well.. and we see you back at Sea very soon!
  5. Suggest OP and others looking to Exit... try E Class...beautiful ships, lovely artwork, good to excellent food, great theater and creative shows, etc. plus the CLUB. So many nice venues, good music.. For us the drinks are not a big deal..we always have at least the Classic Package as a perk.. Strongly agree that the rules and dress suggestions should be adhered to and enforced! Keep X classy not " shlumpy"
  6. What time did you go there.? We go to BLU early...no long lines or beepers salad looked fresh!
  7. Sad looking main course..one lonely veg stalk! How much extra was TUSCAN!
  8. I believe folks can take a break from certain activities while on a cruise without becoming stale! Taking up large space for a limited activity is not a good idea,, At least the golf putting contests fit ok poolside.
  9. On BEYOND, our only Retreat experience....we thought the lounge space was a waste of space..under-utilized, with a tiny take out bar. Could have made a nice sep area into a cozy library/ quiet reading space. Hoppen should design dorms not cruise ships!
  10. at our Fl community..the Pickleball players tried to have the tennis courts re- lined to accomodate more PB play Apparently ..never enough courts for PB. ...the avid Tennis players were not happy campers and the tennis Cts stayed as they were. We have active players of both so folks just have to work with what they have. We do notice that. a Tennis ball hitting racquet is much quieter than PB and paddle. . Indoor area on low deck might work best on a ship..A/c and soundproof!
  11. very nice..and blingy to me that's a sandal without a back strap....very chic for me flip flops are the rubber or plastic ones used for beach, pool spa or shower.. (things are now underwear for some)
  12. They make a flip flop sound when one walks. What is a dressy flip flop?
  13. Good explanation...the nouse disruption problem for some cabins is way more than mere creakiness...the videos show examples, Have not yet crossed the pond but will only do so on QM2.,built as an ocean liner..but I heard it too has had some issues ..engines????
  14. Glad you are enjoying the last moments of the cruise. Not sure if you keep all the great photos but here's another favorite!
  15. i do not think the " included in pacjage/ AQ class "water on Celeb is Spring Water.. the screw top bottles were awful..have not tried the cans or looked at the label.
  16. Off Topic Dont know if you follow Tennis, but we are very impressed with performance of Casper Ruud (Norway) at the French Open, ongoing....Very good player and seems a gentleman. There is an interesting article in the Summer USGA magazine..seems he fancies golf too! Enjoy your day..and hope Mr is doing better!
  17. easy walk to Frog and Onion..and lits of other good stuff at this area
  18. Club soda with lime....it's fine... or prosecco..
  19. i remember these from years ago! not a big Hoppen fan but this is " rag bag"
  20. petting fur babies..best medicine. .hope he recuperates quickly..sounds painful
  21. We did the Partial Transit some yrs ago..We ( me and dh) loved it. The partial transit through the lock into Lake Gatun was thrilling! An engineering marvel. Not just for guys or geeks! We loved all the ports..heavy on nature, jungle, animals, birds and local culture. We would consider a full transit someday & would love to see the expansion. Read the "Path Between the Seas" for history and insight!
  22. Dh looks them over on board but better to bring your own..and a few to swap and share, Sometimes they offer an event for cigar lovers out back there, it is quite popular..not just for men I do not smoke but dh likes a cigar with a nice after dinner drink.. Royal C used to have some nice lounges ( with great ventilator systems) but we have not been on that line in quite awhile..
  23. Looks like a Perfect Day! Mini golf and Frog and Onion..we always visit! AQ Class and BLU..our favs
