  1. As shared before, always got the time slot, location and table we have requested in the past during booking and followup calls with Cunard.. Just like we have always had a wonderful and delightful Meet & Greets on our past sailings.
  2. Barbados is another Port we to enter and leave especially at Midnight like in the past. Beautiful a night all lite up. We too love to look at the Port Cams and see all the activity. Especially when the ships leave Fort Lauderdale and all the activity and noise on the shore. And how close the cameras come to the ship. You can see the faces of the people on board..
  3. On this last sailing in September, we liked the new vers. of the DP since it did give information to refer to. The older vers. was ok in the past but very crowded. This one we knew the title, time and location and we took it from there.
  4. Ditto.....same moves I did too. Aren't those baskets great. With all they have to do serving us, I never expected the baskets to be reviewed at each meal after the first meal. It was common knowledge.
  5. I always look in the basket and tell and point to them which one I wish to have plated. The same was in PG with the morning danish....so many selections avail......so just point and move on to the meal..
  6. I always read reviews which I take to heart personal opinions of other CC'ers but I still always wonder..... "Was I on the Ship as they were?" But as said...... I do honor other's opinions and experiences.
  7. Ditto...they did bend over backwards to accommodate us on our sailing. IOHO...We really miss the staff and remember them well.
  8. We sailed in September in PG for 14 days and didn't sail since 2017 and so happy to have been back onboard. We had no problems with all the topics mentioned above and dealt with the alternative changes that were made. We knew before hand the changes and just adapted to them to enjoy our sailing and heard many others agreed with us. Our Dining Room staff was superior with their service from Servers to M'd. We would always agree to changes made to better protect us and understand the times conditions we are under that was not going to alter our vacation... Times have changed and we have to assist by agreeing to make it work.
  9. No not really if you were inside and saw the operation of the building. Very little in the display ex whitefish ex.. Whitefish salad. Knowing them well I use to get the lox or nova from the back. The trucks would go out to stores and delis around 10. Appreciated the samples given while cutting. I would call Russ and Daughters an Appetizers Store and Adelman Deli like Mill Basin.
  10. We came off the ship QM2 in September and my DW brought hers hairdryer. When she used the onboard one she liked it so much she will leave hers home next time.
  11. Our favorite app's of course in plate form..... Still remember the trolley in the Princess Grill on the QE2 with the Salmon laid out. The Different Smoke Salmon, regular or Scotch....Gravlax etc... Having so many Deli's in NYC and Brooklyn, we are lucky to have so many factories (smokehouses) that produce them. We use to have one in Canarsie we use to be able to go into and purchase...WOW the smell inside of the different woods. Use to love to stand there while that sliced the salmon and take in the smell. Wish could have bottled it. In Brooklyn's Greenpoint is Ace.....But really great retail in Manhattan is Russ & Daughters.
  12. ex, I too agree with the lounge being in the mid core of the ship but for a short time for pick up's. We did not read a lot there but was much quieter than the Library. The Library can be very busy with in and outs and you can see how those reading are disturbed with the traffic. Also bit be served in the Lounge and you have to buffet yourselve, it was nice and quiet to have Tea and Sweets compared to the one and only experience we had in the Grill Lounge. Crowded and noisy more than the Queens Room. To offer space to anyone wanting to Tea in the Grill Lounge was a task. People waiting till others got up. Items ran out fast. And area's for 4-6 were taken by 2's. So little room for Deck 9 & 10 passengers that wished to Tea. We accomplished our Tea relaxed and quietly in the Lounge and returned to our Cabin. We even enjoyed the Tea Time version at 3:30 on Room Service Menu on our Balcony sailing toward Quebec along the St Larry...
  13. We enjoyed the Lounge on this past voyage and was very very helpful. Doors on each side was open. Helped with Tours and changing times. Extra handouts for the Port of Calls to come so we can be be prepped to hit the street. Coffee or Tea all day.... Early days tea sandwiches....Private quieter TeaTime with all the fixings... Excellent and better Wifi connections. Quieter area for reading than the Library.....
  14. I too don't think so either. I know someone who also dips FF into Mustard.?????? FF with salt......good enough... I like Shoe Strings not College or Steakhouse
  15. Did 3 days overnight in Quebec and fabulous. Hope to do it again somewhere else
  16. Disagree respectfully...
  17. Get house in order. Pizza for Lunch..
  18. Each sailing with Females were excellent.
  19. Would agree with any arrangement to be able to enjoy one any of the restaurant's seafood meals they are noted for. The Peace and Serenity walking the streets so special.
  20. Classic Plate Sandwich with Chips, Pickle with the Professional Ladies behind the Counter in their Professional Uniform. Never, Never, Never did they give me a Potato Chip in the pile that was broken. I can still get a sandwich like this at a Check Board Counter at the 5&10 in Cape May NJ....
  21. Quote If not made right, too heavy, too thick, too rich and too filling. Sauer K, Swiss, CB on Rye. I have never seen anyone finishing one anytime in the past.
  22. We had Camila on QM2 and she was Truly a Gem! Beautiful and Extremely Helpful...
