  1. They are always included in the details on Princess.com. Mostly you find them in the T&C blurb. ETA: I see now that this was answered as to where to find out the promo codes and how used.
  2. Curious question. Did you not see any English labelling or information on the bottle? It is generally required that all food/beverage packages in Canada have both official languages.
  3. Not true. IDK why the T&C states that. Non-ref if doing the entry level categories as GTY. If you go up the ladder a bit and select a cabin, the deposit is refundable. Promo codes N7S (Std), N7P (Plus, & NRS (Premier) have Refundable deposits.
  4. Okay, but I think you have some responsibility for your own sake when booking a vacation to at least look into the basics such as PCL cabin category information and deck plans, etc, FAQ's, which are all covered on Princess.com. Your booking confirmation would have clearly indicated not being in a regular balcony. IDK if you need a new TA or not, but I wouldn't be happy with a TA who perhaps doesn't know the cruise line very well and also I wouldn't deal with one who doesn't give a discount on the PCL pricing because they serve me no purpose otherwise (I do realize some folks need guidance and support from a TA).
  5. Have you asked your brother how he was granted this? Surely he must have made someone aware at PCL about his cruise history and someone must have decided to grant the membership level. I doubt there is an official policy.
  6. It is a poor way to have included this benefit. It should have been implemented by length of voyage in some manner. Such as 2 per week, 3 on a 10-night, etc.
  7. There was a context I did not pick up on at first thru multiple posts. Covid is not a "thing" really anymore here in N.A. - other than in isolated situations if I can use that word. Around here, even our hospitals stopped requiring masks and MD office as well. One wonders if it is still a a "thing" in Oz and NZ because they took such extreme measures at the outset that Covid never really "ran its course" there. Yes, I am aware that a test is required (but pretty loose protocol for it), to get onto a ship although there are no particular entry requirements for land trip to Oz AFAIK from a brief check.
  8. I believe I had lost sense in my mind as to the gist of several posts in a series of back and forth. Nonetheless, April 2023 is hardly Covid times. Ships and virtually all of society are operating normal. Even our hospitals around here have dropped mask mandates as an example. Covid is just going to be another respiratory infection floating around like colds, bronchitis, flu. But, if you think it is still Covid times, so be it. Not worth arguing about.
  9. Specialty dining has always been Smart Casual. You do not need to wear anything more upscale than Smart Casual on any night. Have a nice turkey dinner.
  10. It's like twisting in a knife by trying to turn it inside out like it is a plus and doing you a favor. Why don't they just apologize and say they screwed up and this is the best you can get now, but inquire on board if you can get something more like what you wanted.
  11. Agree on the first date, but April 2023 was not what I would call "Covid times". Where geographically do you mean?
  12. It is used as a deposit and the OBC is a credit on the voyage that it is used on, so the one you book - not the one you are on. You should be able to find details of this on Princess.com. There is a table of how much you earn back in OBC and the min is $25 as long as voyage is at least 6/7 nights. 25% is pretty good return on investment in my book. You can earn back even more than the $100 invested - if cabin and voyage are sufficient. Amount of onboard credit varies by cruise length to which the deposit is applied. Cruises or cruise portion of cruisetours 3-6 days: $15pp for inside/oceanview and $25pp balcony/suite; 7-10 days: $25pp for inside/oceanview and $50pp balcony/suite; 11-16 Days: $75pp for inside/oceanview and $100pp balcony/suite; 17-44 Days: $125pp for inside/oceanview and $150pp balcony/suite. Onboard Credit not applicable to the World Cruise and World Cruise Segment Voyages or non-world cruises 45+ days in length. Instead, these cruises receive a reduced deposit of 5% of cruise fare and a 3% discount off the cruise fare.
  13. Booking a golf tee time for next week and have early tee time this morning out of town.
  14. Although we have no direct reports, it makes no sense to me that they would offer a WMD for $40 when they have announced a new one for $140. The wines provided in either case is a similar situation and the new one would not be worth another $100. OTOH, the old one at $40 is way under-priced, so it seems hard to believe any ship would be offering it today. Yes, I would like to know as well. It could be that anyone interested is booking the CTL as why pay extra for the new WMD?
  15. You get OBC depending on cabin category booked plus length of the voyage. Also, each FCD is $100 and often the Princess deposit is more than that and the FCD suffices.
  16. There will be a location to go to where some light noshing can be done as well as ordering a drink, but no real deals. We find it a rather pedestrian experience and don't bother with it anymore.
  17. Not normally (meaning historically I suppose). However, they have been offering deals earlier this year for folks to stay on board when next voyage not sold out and also deals on quite near term voyages. The latter bunch may be the same deals one can get on the website however (but I am not certain of that). It does pay to shop any cruise they are offering on board and see if the "deal" is anything really special or not. Helps if you have internet package (MedallionNet), but access to Princess.com is free. Do you have a TA that gives you a discount off the cruise fare? If so, you are better off to book with them, unless there is truly some on-board promo that is not available to non-sailing guests. If you plan to cruise with Princess again, purchase FCD (Future Cruise Deposit) while on the voyage and these are used as deposit towards future booking. Try to decide how many voyages you might book before being back on a ship as these are only available while on board. You can use one right away to book on board, or just let it sit until needed. They now expire after one year and the funds are refunded back to you if that happens. You can call in and ask for an extension if needed, but you'd want to be sure you were going to book a cruise and use it. You can buy multiple FCD's and you need one for each person.
  18. To the early birds go the spoils.
  19. It had a sizeable hole in the hull right now? (See SF port report on another thread). 😁
  20. My money would go on not seeing both Coral and Island doing Alaska at the same time. Island also has the buffet section forward with lots of windows and access to exterior.
  21. (a) is highly unlikely as they are actively selling this to guests who do not already have the package. It's not like the guest has to seek it out. (b) there is sufficient notice of price increases that a guest could elect to add on the Plus prior to the sail date if they felt it worthwhile compared to being able to consume OBC.
  22. Apparently, it is a rebate for not having Medallions shipped. I don't see the point myself, but if I was going to be getting the Plus package for us, I would definitely wait until embarkation day and order on board.
