Sorry this happened to you. You would have thought that the door would have been replaced or repaired before it was occupied again. We always pull our door completely closed every time as we leave. Our situation was apparently a staff member's fault and because of the hallway camera RCI knew who hadn't pulled it completely closed. Their response to us with an FCC was very nice as we certainly didn't expect anything and actually didn't make a big deal out of it but our steward certainly escalated it. I believe (in the end) it was a plumber that came in to repair the problem we had with the walk in shower in our OS.

For a one night stay that late you might consider Hyatt Place. They have a shuttle from FLL to their hotel for $5.00 per room reservation. It's next to the Harbor Shopping center that has a Publix market, shops and restaurants...a favorite of ours is Duffy's. Use either Uber/Lyft or a shared shuttle (several companies available) from the hotel to POM but I would have a much earlier pickup than you posted.

The dryer will be a Conair 1875 they work great as I have the same one at home too.

Transportation is expensive...not sure what you expect. We used Blackberry and they were well worth the price. I've also heard some good things about Pinkberrry too.

Any reason why you're using FLL instead of MIA...considering the cost and time involved? Unless the fares are much cheaper. I've been checking for my March 2024 and MIA is less for my cruise end at POM.

And once she's there she probably will be quarantined for a period of time right ???

Our cabin door was left kinda open...not pulled completely closed. We went to put our SeaPass in the door and realized it wasn't pulled close. We brought this to the attention of our cabin steward. It was escalated up...the hallway cameras were checked and they knew who had been in there last. RCI gave us a very generous FCC for the security issue this could have caused.

My favorite overnight so far was in Dublin.

And the free bag for D+ is per member not per cabin.

Do you pre-book or were they just offering tours for walk-ups and what was the name of the company?

A crossbody for traveling and (ports) shore excursions...my favorite is a medium size "Kipling Syro Nylon" bag. This bag has been all over the world many many times and is one of the best purchases I've ever made. Then I use a very small crossbody when on board that just barely holds my SeaPass card and my iPhone. That's all I ever need. DH takes a backpack on our flights and into ports.

I'm sure any tour booked with Paul will be great. We did the Historical Titanic tour with Paul (personally) and it was just amazing. Just remember he does have other driver's.

We've used them and I booked a private option for my family of 5 adults at the time. The drive from FLL to POM was ok except the driver NEVER stopped talking. Just landing from a red-eye flight this was so annoying !! On the return pickup from POM to FLL the driver actually argued with me in that he was insisting we had to wait for another passenger. I had to get very INSISTANT that we had booked this as private transportation. He finally relented and got us on our way !! I won't book with them again and have used South Florida Shuttles and been very happy with their service.

We base our cruises on many factors but possible weather isn't one of them.

I've seen this happen the last few BF sales starting the Monday before.

Look for on Amazon = Jet Bags or Wine Diapers. These work great in your checked luggage.

Did you check booking with "Dave's Taxi Tours" ? Hopefully they might have an opening.

Thanks, but we'll do good at each of our port stops...we're far from being picky and just glad to do this itinerary again.

That's where we've eaten and "good" is good enough for us. We'll certainly eat there again this October.

A balcony is a must for us regardless of itinerary. The option to have that personal outdoor space even if it's just a step out to see what the weather feels like. We've done the Canada NE itinerary before in early October and we did use our balcony and will undoubtfully use it again this October too.

This is a policy when the baby is under 2 and will use a pack-n-play. Extended family had a 2 pax cabin and was able to add a baby under these circumstances. But in the end I was able to move them up to a family suite instead.
