  1. We're booked for July 18, 2024 with RCI their British Isles itinerary. Any possibility you can cruise then?
  2. Go up the elevator through the Pan Pacific hotel ... much easier to catch a taxi there.
  3. We've been on Harmony twice as soon as last April and we ate all our meals in the WJ. One of our favorites. Lot's of seating. We especially liked sitting towards the aft with a view and Harmony has serving stations that are spread out nicely.
  4. For sure Harmony has the Lucky Climber....Our grandkids used it again last April.
  5. We've gotten it from room service (suites...so no fee) and also for a fee on some of our Alaska cruises...they would go around and sell it with a souvenir mug out on deck when we were at the glaciers. You can also get it at the onboard Starbucks. As far as whipped cream and chocolate sauce in the WJ...for us that has varied...sometimes it's available and sometimes not. Our Panama Canal cruise on Serenade this past October they were out of chocolate syrup in the WJ the whole cruise.
  6. Sorry nothing specific...there was one street area that was just lined up on both sides with so many options with outdoor seating and posted menu's. We just chose at random.
  7. Ine...gave you some great information above. We paid a bit more for our taxi (from the taxi stand) due to some road construction shut down during our time frame there from AMS to the Banks Mansion. Lot's of great restaurant options near by walking distance. Enjoy this hotel and all their amenities...especially the wonderful breakfast.
  8. Not a fan of those dark chocolate powder mixes. We've gotten the real stuff onboard at times.
  9. I believe we did this....and it was great. However our price was lower. 10% off...I would wait for a better sale. Not sure when you're sailing but if possible check out a black Friday sale.
  10. Last time we port stopped there our cruiseline offered a shuttle from port to near the Quincey Market...roundtrip.. Hoping they offer it again as we'll be there in early October.
  11. The Gold Rush Dog Tours sell out quickly. I tried and tried to book very early for our cruise last September and ended up having to book the Musher Camp with RCI instead.
  12. I feel the exact opposite...Aft not necessary for Caribbean and aft wonderful for Alaska.
  13. Your cruiseline will offer transfers for a price. We find it easier and less expensive to take a taxi when there are just the two of us. When we have the extended family with us we use a private shuttle pre-booked option.
  14. Going to the Christmas Market in Quebec City this December for four nights and will get some small amounts of CAD from my bank...no fees for me. I always prefer to have some local $$'s.
  15. Thanks....Appreciate hearing that.
  16. I will always hope RCI at some point will do the Singapore - Shanghai again. It was our favorite Asia itinerary.
  17. I pre-pay mine with my final payment balance.
  18. Prices vary but always nice to compare ship vs directly. The added crab is new as this wasn't an option this past September. However just where do you eat the crab...I'm assuming not on the Aleutian Ballad ??
  19. We love the Dairy Belle (new location) have only been to their old one to date.
  20. In addition to the above there's an IHOP just around the corner from the hotel.
  21. Book your own hotel reservations and more than likely you'll get a better deal.
  22. We've stayed at Place de Armes in Quebec pre-cruise. Loved the location. We're going on a Christmas Market tour and have the choice of the Clarendon or Palace Royal for this trip in December.
  23. Also price the Bering Sea tour directly on their website vs your cruiseline.
  24. Try booking Hyatt Place with ValueTrips or as a Hyatt member. Hyatt Place is a great location right next door to the Harbor shopping center with a Publix market and a few restaurants. Our favorite is Duffy's. HP offers a shuttle from FLL to their hotel for $5.00 per room reservation. If you need a shuttle service from hotel to Port Everglades try South Florida Shuttles...they also offer carseats as needed. You also might consider booking them round trip to get you all back from port to airport.
