  1. if its early saver booking, there is usually a 50 dollar per person fee to cancel and all money back is given as a future cruise credit when you cancel online in the cruise manager page it should tell you the fee if there any
  2. i noticed the same thing when i got off the escape yesterday on the shorten Bermuda cruise. no map channel showing the ship position
  3. I got off the Escape this morning and i noticed there is no map channel on the stateroom tv that showed a ton of interesting information like ship speed, position, heading, distance to next port of call, distance from previous port of call, a map that showed your position, etc. I am unable to find this channel when flipping channels and it is not listed on the channel guide About 5 years ago when i sailed on the Escape back in the day, the ship had this channel. Why was it is removed? Is this another one of many "cutbacks" from Norwegian?
  4. i got off the Escape this morning,my room was only service once usually in the late afternoon. Freestyle dailies is left in the slot thing above the room number. If you purchased photos, they will be in that slot or in a bag on the door handle.
  5. i was on this cruise and wheel on fortune is a huge disappointment for me. it sucks that is a main theater show and replacing something in the theater . atrium is a better venue for it
  6. I am on the escape, we came in on Tuesday at 2pm and left today at 4pm Bermuda time. Our original itinerary was Bermuda with wednesday to friday
  7. cabins can be assigned at anytime, there is no specific time
  8. It might return back to New York in May 2025 or it could be as different ship over the years i noticed new york sailings open up around november-january
  9. this is common in the cruise industry with all cruise lines, price drops is rare once you submit final payment or close to sail date
  10. nothing happens at the port, you just board the ship whenever you get there
  11. if you are after final payment, it is common to get nothing at all. sometimes you might get lucky to get a future cruise credit or a free upgrade
  12. this changed with the new solo cabins. if you are sailing in a solo inside, oceanview or balcony you will now have lounge access on ships that have it. If you booked a regular balcony that is not a solo balcony, you will not have lounge access
  13. not a problem at all. very common there is no tips/tricks. they will seat you at a regular table for 2 that you will have to yourself
  14. the only time this will be an issue is you are doing a excursion that requires signing a waiver. they might check the name on the ticket to that name that signed the waiver
  15. most likely switching from one generator/motor to another one caused some issues like the loads on each circuit was not even
  16. its most likely due to a crew availability issue. that officer that was assigned most likely had work related things to attend to first
  17. you can go to any specially dinning restaurant 3 times like cagenys, moderno, le bistro
  18. what kind of access control? on the ship ive been that never existed. you always find a seat and watch bingo if you want. they do have card sales at the entrance of the theater/lounge that you can walk past
  19. Its somewhat similar to this year too. It appears that the Canada/New England cruises is not popular and not selling as good as back in the day so carnival is avoiding that type of itinerary. carnival is following the money of doing the most popular routes if you want to do Canada cruises you have to jump ship to other cruise lines like Norwegian that does weekly Canada cruises from September to october
  20. i have been on ships with that kind of system, people will still press the wrong floor or press all of the buttons making the elevator stop at every floor
  21. parts of the observation lounge is being removed to add in new cabins
  22. i am doing the 12 day carnival journey cruise out of NYC in march that goes to those ports: St Kitts, St Lucia and Barbados
  23. to lessen the costs for those rights, i wonder if its cheaper to use off broadway shows instead. that is what my local theater groups does
  24. i never seen a cooler in a studio cabin, there is no room to put on in
