  1. Its 45 min.... but if your doing carryon its obviously less.... The biggest concern would be the unknown delays going through SEcurity
  2. Yacht Club is alot more than food and wine.... IMO I would never sail on MSC outrside of Yacht Club. If you are going to be so narrow minded and not realize all the benefits, space, solitude and amazing service....perhaps you should stay with the rest of the herd on the ship.
  3. Thanks for your review so far.... We have cruised on Seaside YC 2x and your pictures bring back our many wonderful memories of cruising in YC. Love the cabins and the shower is so spacious.
  4. Next month...We have a 10:55 am flight out of FLL.... But we are on a RCL ship with 6am scheduled arrival and FLL is only 10 min away.. I believe its approx 20-25 min by cab from Miami pier to airport. Doable...YES ... However even if she gets off the ship with no issues...Then you begin worrying about Airport checkin delays.... Only she can answer her tolerance for risk.... But if she is going to worry the last few days of vacation. Why do it
  5. Most definitely it will be on in the Duck and Dog Pub. Sat in there for 4+ hours watching Tiger Woods win Masters 3 years ago
  6. Consider yourself fortunate to have cruised in YC. Pretty much shelters you from the chaos below. I've always said I will only cruise YC on MSC....Last cruise my wife only left YC for excursions and the SPA. No interest in spending time any where else. Done it twice. No interest in dealing with the unorganization, inconsistencies and cattle herding in the main ship area
  7. I can't offer much.... We cruised YC on both our MSC cruises so basically had anything and received whatever we wanted. However...like other lines...MSC has adjusted their pricing for Yacht Club and its now outside my comfort range. However I am glad I had the opportunity to try it out before the word got out what a bargain it was!!
  8. Totally agree!! Years past you could save hundreds by shopping TA's, On Line Agencies, Cruise lines, etc. Now a days cabin prices among all options are very close. Its the OBC and other soft benefits (free gratuities, etc) where you can save some bucks going through TA or On line Agency. I personally have booked all my cruises online since around 2000.... Much easier and gives me more choices. Then again I enjoy the "chase". But the very few times I had a question or needed a small change...I found the agencies very responsive and worked through the Cruise line to change. Side note: I usually book no more than 6 months out (once a cruise is on my mind...the wait kills me lol)...so there may be additional savings booking on board if your planning a year or so out
  9. Totally agree... Unless "Moltar" is referring to incabin activities....I can't think of anything more enjoyable while waiting for sail away !! 😂😂
  10. Finding similariies to our cruise on Odyssey over Thanksgiving. DBP has varied from $68 -$73,,, over last 90 days. Doesn't appear it will drop any lower. Ill grab the $67 price next time they put on a "sale" which seems every 2-3 weeks
  11. We cruised Enchantment in 1998 and 2002 (before stretch) Always have been once of our favorite ships.... Bigger isn't always better
  12. Yup///MIne was right at 45 days..stayed up to midnight and checked in so I was sure to get a early slot. Thanks Cruise Critic Board for providing inside scoop!
  13. I chuckle at people who are complaining about the Drink Packages being so high.... You have options...you don't need to buy it! Seems to me its the small % of moderate/heavy drinkers who are who are complaining even though they have 7-10 drinks daily! I buy it out of convenience and knowing what my costs are up front. Do I lose out a little?? Perhaps on Port intensive itineraries....but its my choice just like its your choice to buy drinks individually!
  14. IMO...not worth it if all your ports dock at a pier....
  15. FYI ..based on my review of Divina Buffet video tour on You Tube... Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Fries were proudly showing...LOL Also softserve ice cream by Pool in afternoon....
  16. I guess you never ate in the Marketplace?? I've cruised on Seaside 2x...Plenty of burgers, hot dogs and chicken fingers available on my sailings!?
  17. Why would you think OBC is refundable?? Even if misinformed by TA?? Under your thought process...why call it OBC?? Just reduce your cruise fare at booking. OBC is widely understood to use it or lose it.
  18. I would only cruise on MSC in Yacht Club.... Done it twice....Public venues are beautiful on the new ships...but their organization does not match the main stream lines. Yacht Club is a ship within ship....they really make you feel special.
  19. Not quite equal ....Easy package is all well...no brand listed. Also only draft beer and Miller light for beer....Very limited selctions...so this is NOT apples to apples. Here is current MSC drink package pricing. The Easy plus package appears to be closest to UBP on RCL and is a good bargain at $51/pp/day Easy Package: $38 per person, per day Easy Plus Package: $51 per person, per day Premium Extra Package: $71 per person, per day Alcoholic-Free Package: $26 per person, per day (21+ years old); $17 per person, per day (3-20 years old)
  20. you are 100% correct on all points. Enjoy your cruise!!
  21. Its a good idea to have...But they or customs will never look at....I've cruised 5x with my grandson from ages 5-13....Never once asked to see it.
  22. MSC making good on their strategic decision to expand its footprint in North America and compete with the "big boys"
  23. There are daily withdrawal limits which protects your transactions plus Bank has dispute coverage similar to CC...Move on to the 21st century lol
  24. not sure where your cruising...but if your cruise is under 9 days in carribean...its irrelevant. They will not check. All you have to do is conplete the health and safety questionnaire and they take your word for it
  25. Why?? Many people, like I, keep a large amount on it. I mean its tagged to your checking/savings account. Hold are irrelevant if you have a good balance on it
