I will offer the counterpoint from personal experience. Crown Grill may hold back some reservations for "suite" / "casino" passengers. (I stated 'may' because I don't have personal experience with that situation. I do have personal experience with immediately upon boarding going straight to CG - sorry, booked all week. You can stop by during the cruise at dinner hours and see if we have seating for a cancellation. I can book you into Sabatini's, but only for tonight ... we took that ... and continued to call the dine line at various times during the cruise - nada, sorry. So, it is unfair to posters to think that the dine line is magical.

you sign the contract - you agree to the terms and conditions - it's only one dining venue on the whole ship - if, the food and service are the same as the other 2 mdr dining venues

you are not assigned traditional dining - you choose it. and with that choice, Princess has the opportunity to enforce options, not enforced in the other two mdr venues

that was the way it used to be, but not with the current PLUS and Premier packages. In fact, you can order multiple beers to be delivered at the same time. Of course, not exactly the same as having them cold in the fridge when entering for the first time. That is why our first start is the lobby bar for a beer and a pina colada - smooth, not icy.

I like a couple lines of text, and a couple of pictures if applicable - a nice short read. I'd rather read 50 posts than 10 posts that contain the same information
