  1. check here Cruise Blogs & Websites - Cruise Critic Community
  2. as I remember, the nurses ( and others ) promotion, the link didn't appear in our email until late in the day ... 3 hour time difference here also. once people get the link, why not contact your TA, CVP, or Princess direct to inquire about a refare at the reduced pricing ... be careful about perks and packages not all cabins, at least before, were eligible for the discounted pricing
  3. air horn - just in case I needed to get someone's attention if I was in isolation
  4. I'd venture to guess that person was in the top 2-3% of Princess cruisers in regards to being tech savvy and having the tools needed to accomplish what she did
  5. uh, no - I'd be in the hall or on the balcony yelling until 'somebody' came to see what was going on. just sitting back is not an option. and don't say they are extremely sick, if so, they shouldn't be in a cabin. maybe an air horn in the covid kit is what is needed
  6. i don't understand - why do you need to post that you are "following" a thread ?? - what am i missing?
  7. same can be stated about posters and "their" s$%t$y experiences - which seems to be most of the posts on CC - not everyone has the same experience ... and even if they do ... it depends on how it is perceived by those that do .... think about it
  8. Just like our first 'big cruise' in 2007 - had no idea - left everything to TA and didn't know better
  9. I would add to make sure you get a copy of your final folio showing paid in full, if you have any charges from the medical center charged to you On Board Account. This shows 'proof' of your out of pocket expense.
  10. "Beverage package specifically paid for" ? ours was, and it was covered under the "old policy" sorry about you experience...
  11. single malts, blue (still won't be covered), pappy van winkle(uh, no) and whatever it is they do in Good Spirits
  12. not exactly ... we had "paid" for the drink package prior to the change - not just in cart - it was unlimited, not that we had to invoke that ... at least some days 🤑
  13. Princess needs to re-think the number of specialty dinners from 2 per booking - and somehow adjust it to number of formal nights on 7+ day cruises - ex 10 day has 3 formal nights, 14 has 4, etc to make the SD a worthwhile 'benefit' on the Premier package
  14. You can't always get what you wantBut if you try sometimes you just might findYou just might find that's justYou get what you need
  15. it's not "bemoaning" at all for those people who might not have the "flexibility" that others have. enjoy your cruising done ... maybe
  16. well, when you cruise / have cruised that much - maybe missing a port is not that important - especially if you have previously been to that port. but in the case of 1st ( and maybe only ) time cruisers to Alaska - it is seriously disappointing, especially when the goalposts keep moving and it was known pre-cruise. And for some, its not so easy to say - hey, let's just jump to Discovery, at that late date - work, life, kids, planes, trains, hotels ...
  17. like a lot of life ... you gotta know when to pick your battles, and when to just Frozen ...
  18. how long do I have to decide if we want to upgrade to Premier from an existing Plus package cruise?
  19. If I had 'throwaway money' I'd book a suite ( yep, still available ) to see what kind of compensation Princess would offer in the event of late cancellation - if not cancelled, invoke the CFAR and just ride the FCC
  20. yep, head over to Pancho's Backyard for a relaxing local beer ... Dos Equis XX 🍻
