  1. that was online ... it was a sequence of 'events' that involved the original OM bookings on the REGAL - we weren't one of the "chosen" cabins that got to experience it - so we cancelled a 2 day and a 4 day B2B - transferred to a 5 day western on CROWN - then got the moveover offer back to REGAL - still not in an OM cabin but ... also got an UPSELL on another cruise on CB, from a balcony to a PH suite that we took - little 4 day that was the first cruise after the CB "wetdock" in 2019 so I am 'very' biased' about controlling and getting notifications about our "little" cruises - longer cruises - 14 day+ would/might be totally different - every situation is prolly
  2. I've had 2 moveover offers booking directly with Princess - One I jumped on immediately - from a 5 day on Crown to a 7 day on REGAL - leaving the next Sunday after our scheduled cruise - very fortunate we were able to do that - 7 day was 'free' and 100% of 5 day fare was applied as REFUNDABLE OBC - Princess picked up the additional 2 days of all charges ( except, drink package - no problem )
  3. from most posters here ... you hit the jackpot with that transfer
  4. as is: will TA refare after final? will TA forward upgrade offers, MOVEOVER offers on a TIMELY basis? anser coming: "our TA is the greatest" - 8-12% discount - not OBC
  5. why - didn't respond immediately, or return calls? ... other than that ???
  6. seems like the 'suite' specialty dinner reservation - no problem seems like the specialty dining booking promotion - maybe a problem
  7. hmmm ... 'paper copy' ... USPS ... IRS backlog processing 'anything' paper = 'not good' oops - sorry, off topic ...
  8. a 'screw top' cab, and a Princess 'sailing is so refreshing' tumbler - problem solved🍷
  9. see "Florida Departures Forum" for extensive postings about this and other hotels
  10. how could Princess not just duplicate the nurses and other providers promotion?? A specific link was sent to your email that you had to go thru to see the discounted cruises, the available cabins in the promotion and the price. If you didn't go thru that email, the discount wasn't available Princess
  11. what is the alcohol policy on the bus? - can you bring beer on board - can you buy beer in the snack shops?
  12. state or federal refund? paper or e-file? direct deposit or mailed check?
  13. hundreds of posts on this that state 2 weeks before cruise is when they (and us included) have received the medallions...
  14. and then there is this - applies to Princess also? Carnival President Christine Duffy has been working with U.S. authorities to solve the staffing problems, according to a report from Cruisehive. "In a series of talks with the U.S. State Department and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the company managed to get several agreements in place that will help alleviate the problems it has been having with crewing its ships," the website reported. The cruise lines have been dealing with a number of problems when it comes to finding crew. First, the pandemic has led to some former crew members opting for other lines of work. Second, some potential crew have balked at the strict procedures set up for anyone working for Carnival, Royal Caribbean, or Norwegian. In many cases, crew members have only been given very limited shore leave (and earlier it was none at all). There have also been periodic restrictions where crew bars have been closed and gatherings limited to stop covid spread. In addition, covid breakouts have sometimes led to a shortage of available staff even on fully crewed ships. Duffy, however, made it clear that things are getting better. “We’ve actually made great progress recently with the U.S. State Department, which is providing support for us to get visas renewed. And we’ve been very grateful to CBP [the US Customs and Border Protection] which has allowed us to even bring some crewmembers in that may have an expired visa, so that at least they can work and we can continue to operate,” she told Cruisehive.
  15. so, does Princess just state 'we need 100 bodies' and then train them for the non-specialized jobs (cooks, servers, rooms, etc.)? or does Princess 'order' we need 50 line cooks across the fleet, 200 cabin crew, throw in 15 pool attendants? how does that work?
  16. 'new crew' is accepted - lack of crew is the problem - is it crew just not available period? or is it crew in transition? or is it Princess cost cutting and just not fully crewing - even with ships approaching capacity?
  17. can soda is NOT covered by the package ... any package on Princess did you tip well for the "free" soda? maybe it was a 'thing' on CROWN because of all the problems
  18. Issues ??? why back in the day, I used to have to put a quarter in the slot to get those "vibrations" in a motel room bed😉... 'Magic Fingers'
  19. if your "agenda" in wearing something is 'it make's me feel good' so be it. anything else is well ... why then??
  20. it's to start a conversation with hopefully like minded people - rehash old times perhaps i wear my VOL hat proudly - even in the years we were getting our asses kicked by most other schools. Sometimes the conversation is good, sometimes not so much not a thread hijack, if so, please delete
  21. I'll definitely let the forum know - hopefully no longer than a couple of weeks. I got the information about 'worldwide urgent care' from a rep when I called inquiring about the status of my claim. I've followed these boards about medicare not covering, and was actually surprised when she responded about the urgent care. I mainly filed the claim to seemingly get the official rejection so I could follow-up with the AON policy
  22. will do - it will be 30 days on 6/13 since 'they' received the claim - 'they' being a Medicare Advantage plan thru AARP/United Healthcare
