Princess Announces a 25% Teacher Appreciation Discount
voljeep replied to Gretchendz's topic in Princess Cruises
for the nurses ( and others ) recent promotion - my wife was previously cleared by sheerID for a previous promotion for OBC. the 50% off a current cruise email was received on 11/3/21, book by 12/31/21, sail by 2/28/22. We had to go thru that specific email received on 11/3/21 to receive the rate discount and book. not all cabins on the cruises were eligible - only up to a deluxe balcony on the REGAL on a January 2022 cruise - which we booked ... once onboard, we got a comp upgrade to a premium deluxe balcony ( true aft ) -
take the tux if you "want to" ... don't take the tux if you feel you "have to" ...

Princess Cruises introduces all-inclusive Premier Package
voljeep replied to dides's topic in Princess Cruises
yep, forgot about the 2 specialty dinners ... $ 58 pp / 5 day leaves $67 for increased drink prices over the 5 days at $3.54 increase per = 19 'premier drinks' ... anyway ... still doesn't work for us, even at a 5 day - and no way for any days beyond that ... -

and say my Cab goes from $12 covered to $15 covered by premier - with plus it will add $3 +18% = $3.54 "extra" to drink the "good Cab ... $ 25 increase / $3.54 = 7 glasses of $15 per day before the Premier pays off ... per person this is totally disregarding the "PRIZES" for opening and closing your cabin door, the 4 device wifi ( who really needs that unless you are sharing with others outside your cabin ) and the "photos" that go into "that abyss at home" posted while drinking a $18 per BOTTLE buy one get one free (Publix) of King Stag Cab -

Pro Tip: if you KNOW you will be going to the laundry ... get your tokens in advance ... might save a trip to the next floor, or to customer service carrying your clothes if the token machine in not working.

Nope, didn't raise the price ... we'll pay the $2-3 extra + 18% IF required ... in Vines ... yes, we have the package - yes, only the PLUS package ... so it's up to you, just pick me out a nice Cab 😉 😉 -

the "new Premier" doesn't make any mention of new beers - at least that I could see in the .pdf file referenced above -

I believe that is for TA's that booked cruises for themselves at TA rates, not clients of the TA's -
no experience with that one, but we ordered these off Amazon - worked very well EverAct Clip Holder Compatible with Fitbit Zip (Set of 4)

she wants to know why Princess can't go ahead and announce the changes for August and September NOW, so she can determine, BEFORE FINAL PAYMENT, if she wants to make final payment for those dates. the OVERNIGHT was a bad choice of phrasing - it would have been better worded to what Princess is doing between now and when her final payment is due, so those changes can be avoided, and her cruise will be as currently shown.

we took an upsell to R411 - S4 - back in 2019 - It was under the ice cream station. yes, lots of chair noise, but only during the day, which we were rarely in the cabin during those times

what do you do by your pool, then? - broken glass in a pool is not an option at our house either

Princess Cruises introduces all-inclusive Premier Package

as long as Princess 'keeps available and doesn't run out' of a couple of semi-decent cabs, a chard, a couple of single malt scotches, and a Dunes martini, current beers, and 'fruity drinks' ... well, we can live and enjoy that - even at the soon to be 'extra' $10 pp pd. I "might" consider the $25 'upcharge' to the premier on a 4 day cruise, just to "experience the thrill" ... and the specialty dinner(s) - but they better come with a 'guaranteed' availability. maybe the Premier Package upgrade could become a 'throw-in' for the super elitist level soon to come. Sorta like getting the platinum insurance upgrade at the regular price. nah ... -
OK we just did our first cruise and here is my lesson learned
voljeep replied to JonlLee's topic in Princess Cruises
my wife learned a lesson about the auto-tip/gratuity for spa services - she caught it in time, and her additional tip was removed. Never had that repeated, and never went back to the spa, either - too much talking and 'hard sell of products' for her to enjoy the treatment... -

is the "fuel surcharge" far behind now? - when was the last time that was enacted? -
I also enjoy 'playing the game' - not retired, but ... Has your TA refused, or not been able to refare a price drop, even after final payment? I fully understand, believe me, about promotion changes, perks, and "new bookings only"

it was in response to Ombuds reducing it to 10 drinks - I'll do the 10, but only at the $50 price point - which I am fully aware that is not an option ... at this time -
