you can 'request' off menu items in the mdr. You may not always get what you wanted, but you get what you need. baked potato, extra butter...

you have "status" (casino), so yes, maybe some tables are held back for "status" Us regular 'shmoos' that have only taken 17 or so cruises, staying in a regular balcony, can be shut out. I "KNOW" because it happened to us on our last cruise. No balcony dining, no Crown Grill, Sabitini's ONLY on first night.

we 'always' stop by Pancho's Backyard ... my wife parks me there at an outside table with shade. I'll have a couple of 'fishbowl' "local beers" (XX) - that I may have in the fridge at home😉 and she will continue / finish browsing the shops, then meet me for a 'fishbowl' mojito and maybe some apps, maybe not. she did have her feet nibbled there once.

I got a new CVP, talked and emailed to him, got my old fare reinstated (did not get the website price in error) and did get a nice OBC for our troubles. All good, will keep monitoring prices as lots of cabins being shown as available. CVP did state to put cabin on hold, if needed, then contact him. First time I've ever been told that is the proper way for the CVP to get 'credit' for the booking.
