  1. we are thinking about doing the UBD - Ultimate Balcony Dining - on our next cruise if offered. I'm concerned about the amount of food as there is no way I/we can eat all of that is a single setting ... but do want the experience ( with OBC )
  2. I agree ... IF ... all you want to do is swap out the entire mini bar set-up for coffee package(s). and 'maybe' a full swap out for a bottle of wine
  3. sometimes both in Vines and Crooners
  4. same as us ... and singles start to become doubles ...
  5. consider what your 'beverage intake' is on a normal sea day and port day. do the math
  6. Crooners and Vines should be off limits for possible removal from ALL Princess ships. Retro-fit the ones where either was removed for a different venue
  7. if you click on 'that persons' profile icon - you can see a place to 'ignore poster' - use it
  8. my wife is a 'rum girl' - "Her" martini is the 'Dunes' ... I'll usually just get a single malt scotch, double, one small ice cube
  9. are these shipboard medical center expenses? do/did you have other primary insurance?
  10. 1/29/22 - passed out on REGAL while in Grand Turk 5/4/22 - filed claim(s) with AON and UHC (medicare supplemental) I know, I know 7/6 - received payment in full, no deductible from UHC 7/6 - reported payment received from UHC to AON 8/19 - received check from AON for $128.53 which was for a couple of deductibles for ER and Dr. after returning home - $3.53 was for interest we didn't get reimbursed by either for a $28 medical records printout fee from REGAL medical center. others have reported they did my charge from REGAL medical was $1,205.74 my follow-up at our local ER (weekend) was $15,052.34 - of which our share was $90.00 my follow-up with Cardiologist was a $35.00 copay
  11. will Princess have a special Thanksgiving Day 'Lunch' menu? - that's our typical 'big meal' of the day - EDIT - on Thanksgiving Day when on land
  12. what is the difference in 'Formal' and 'Dress to Impress'? on our thanksgiving cruise - the Travel Summary states 1 'Formal' night - but on the "app" - it shows "Dress to Impress Portrait" - on the first sea day, normally 'formal night'
  13. our 1st over Thanksgiving (if 3rd time's the charm) and lots to choose from on that menu
  14. huh - doesn't start until cruises beginning 1/1/23 Offer is available on cruises and cruisetours sailing Jan 1, 2023 and beyond and must be booked by October 31,2022. Reference promotion code: N9E/N9D/NR9
  15. multiple posts to follow about using ALL obc, regardless of what is posted on the website, in the casino, then cashing out to launder non-refundable OBC
  16. not to be obtuse, but how 'exactly' do you know what Princess will do except based on 'past' experiences - but may not reflect as current?
  17. maybe someone will post a 'live from' on the Discovery halloween cruise ...
  18. we will try to book UBD (ultimate balcony dining) upon boarding to use some OBC. if we can't book that, we will try to book a couple of specialty dining nights ... roll the dice on availability once on board instead of pre-booking and charging to card.
  19. 6 am - puts down towel(s) on 4 prime poolside chairs, then leaves 8 am - comes back and occupies one lounger, then goes to buffet to meet others 10 am - 3 come to pool, occupy lounge chairs ... where's Jim - oh he'll be here after the slot tournament at 1 pm 11:30 - all 3 go to lunch - come back at 12:45 - Jim shows up at 2:30 - leaves at 3 to go rest
  20. Looks like Princess is phasing out being a wine centric cruise line ... will have a couple of very basic wines aboard and a couple of 'better' wines - and not a specific 'wine bar'. looks like if wine is that important to you on a cruise ship ... Princess is no longer for you ... unless you bring your own onboard. Lot easier to have beer and spirits ...
