  1. Check with the airline you purchased through EZ Air. Depending on domestic or foreign. Canada is considered "domestic" North America. Some airlines charge, or allow one free, or if lucky, two (rare). Could be as low as $30 or as high as $100. Foreign carriers are a little stricter with carry on size. Some not. Best to check with assigned carrier.
  2. Pay close attention to the time you arrive in port AND disembarkation begins on a normal day. We arrived around 6:30 but calls for going ashore did not happen right away. We rarely left the ship before 10 AM..It was too crowded. I am not sure how you can circumvent the disembarkation line for those leaving the ship compared to those who want to leave for the day. There was chaos inside the terminal. Disembarked on deck 4 (yes, very strange). Everyone filed into the terminal to pick up their bags...before going through immigration/customers. No distinct lines. There were porters to help you manage your luggage. It was rather quick compared to some other ports. There was a line for those in a wheelchair. I didn't see a line for in-transit passengers. I guess you could try to leave when the first group is called (walk offs).
  3. Not acceptable practice for any business to share your information with others. I’d watch this cruise like a hawk. There are many who do not know email communication protocols. I often have to educate friends on how to BCC emails. It’s water under/over the bridge now. There’s nothing you can do at this point, except voice your displeasure. Out of generosity, you might ask him/her what (s)he was thinking.
  4. If the Diamond ports under the Bridge (not Daikoku), then you really won’t need a tour. All within walking (long) distance: Yamashita Park Cup of Noodle museum Ramen Museum Chinatown Queens (shopping) Plaza and other shopping arcades. a small zoo plenty to fill the day.
  5. Ships sailed full when Princess did round trips to Alaska from LA. To me….no brainer. But I don’t make these decisions.
  6. Is it just the Discovery? She's spanking brand new. Wi-Fi is one of the worst in the fleet (and home ported in LA with Coastals and Mexico). It is the ports that attract these passengers? I've not heard glowing reports since her inaugural debacle. I am not a fan of the Royal Class ships...so won't be on the Discovery either.
  7. Yes, I knew about Ululani’s opening, but Waiola is just another block away. Tried it once in Lahaina. I go for the fine ice, old school memories. Actually made it once to Waiola on this trip home. Smart move on Ululani’s to open across the street from Leonard’s. And they have parking!
  8. Thanks for the link…semantics…it doesn’t rank…but only lists their favorites. “Every local has their go-to shave ice spot; we asked our audience on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook where to get the shave ice in Hawaii, and the foodies did not disappoint.“
  9. No can be...(Ululani). Guri Guri on Maui or Waiola on Oahu got them all beat!
  10. Last year, Princess ported at Kahului. Glad to see her back in Lahaina. Much better port for passengers.
  11. thanks for leaving the “d” off. 🤙🏼
  12. They will not be required to purchase a drink package. Gratuities (crew incentive) will be added to your account nightly for both children. You may share your internet package but not your drink package. You will have one device for each drink package. You will need to log off in order for them to log on.
  13. Lahaina is notorious for long tender lines. When you have 3000 passenger and crew trying to get back to the ship, it can be difficult. AND it was a very warm (hot) day.
  14. Not the same locations on all ships. On the Diamond, Port Side. I would not have chosen that location for myself,
  15. Yes, You can use FCC's. Yes, You can use a FCD...but it would only count as $100 credit since it is not being applied to a NEW booking but added to an existing booking. FCDs only earn OBC IF booked as a NEW booking. Both Passengers 1 and 2 would have to be booked at the same time on a NEW booking for FCD to earn OBC. FCC: Future Cruise Credit FCD: Future Cruise Deposit OBC: On Board Credit Just found this: Future Cruise Deposits cannot be added to a booking after the booking has been paid in full and may not be combinable with other promotional offers. https://www.princess.com/plan/fcc-onboard-cruise-credits/
  16. You can apply a FCD toward the balance, BUT will not get OBC. Original fare should not change.
  17. Correct, I like the Golden and Caribbean set up on deck 6, with the Casino and Churchill on deck 7. But the OPs question referred th CB.
  18. Casino is one deck higher than window suites. Not there. It’s been a while since I’ve been on the CB, but think it is outside the cigar lounge…lobby.
  19. IF...you book directly with an airline, you "may" be able to bid up for a better category. You can do this with Hawaiian Airlines. They even send you emails letting you know that you have this option.
  20. Very thorough review. Many have been waiting for someone like you to post real experiences. Thank You
  21. Bumping thread up in hopes of hearing from passengers who have been on Emerald, Baja, or Caribe decks. Thanks.
  22. What am I doing wrong? I clicked on Google Docs and it pulled up a blank document. I wanted to search a couple of cabins on the Coral Princess. All I was able to see was the "instructions". The rest of the document was blank. Please post instructions for looking at the document. I don't want to read 16 pages to find a cabin review. Thank you
  23. It is an emergency alarm for your cabin. I believe it is there for a general alert (abandon ship level of warning).
  24. I vote for the Crown Princess: 6 days instead of 5 Longer times in port. Obstructed OV and balcony are the same size. Plus the Majestic has teeny tiny balconies. More public areas on the Crown (Full Promenade) Less people (at least no tender ports) Interesting that the Majestic is porting late in Vancouver. Tides????? Makes catching flights harder to LAX (later arrival/traffic). Disclaimer: I am not a fan of the Royal Class ships.
