  1. For convenience and most times less cost, I opt for one of the two better known services.. Dependent on the number of people in your party, they can be more cost effective than paying for each person using either shuttle. Unlike shuttles, these better known services will pick me up based on my schedule and take me directly to my hotel in Galveston. Shuttles have predetermined departure times which may or may not match up with your arrival time. Additionally, the number of seats on a shuttle are limited. When the shuttle seats are all reserved, you need to reserve on the next available which could be later in the day. When you do make it to Galveston, the shuttles drop you off based on where your hotel falls into thedropoff circuit....you could be one of the first dropped off or you could be "taking a tour" of Galveston hotels until your hotel comes up.
  2. February 4th cruise, BeetleJuice was Friday and Saturday nights at 7 and 10. Friday night 7pm performance was cancelled due to technical issue. Icon not presented at all. No sure about Prom.
  3. Is there a reliable link that can be used to determine 2024 dry dock dates for NCL ships?
  4. For an upcoming 7 day, my precruise upgrade price is $109. For an upcoming 10 day, the precruise upgrade price is $230. For me, not having to deal with what "deals" are available once onboard and the time that it takes to mess with it then simply isn't worth it.
  5. They will not unlock or remove the balcony partititions.
  6. passport number and expiration date are required
  7. I've made a personal decision to look at when the OP joined CC and how many previous posts they have made before proceeding with any sort of comment for posts such as this one...maybe not true in all cases but when I see a post such as this one in which the OP joined CC yesterday and this is their first post....I move on.
  8. You don't mention which ship but if you are asking which I would choose of the three you listed, I would only choose Cagney's. You might consideras other options Le Bistro, Ocean Blue or Palomar again dependent on what ship you will be sailing and what you like. I would also skip Moderno and Teppanaki but again those two are just not at the top of my list.
  9. If dining at Teppanaki with children, be sure to clarify when seated if you want your children to eat off of the child's menu. Otherwise, they will likely assume that the child will be eating off of the regular menu and will charge accordingly.
  10. ...and there is always the possibility that the excursion will sell out....i.e. Santorini
  11. Here's my issue with Indulge....not so much the area itself but the people that occupy it. As some have said, it is not an extremely large area. My problem is that far too many cruisers go into the Indulge seating area and "camp out"....not to eat but instead to play cards or board games or read a book...and in doing so, make an already limited seating area even smaller.
  12. Been there, done that on the Prima in LeBistro. Highly doubt that I would do so again.
  13. My experience has been that there will be an "NCL representative" near the baggage claim area. You checkin with them and they direct you as to where to go. In most cases, the transfers involve a large bus and they make every effort to fill it up when they can....point being, it's likely not going to be an express service. Same deal on the return to the airport in that they fill up the bus and then they leave....
  14. There will be tender "tickets" that you need to sign up for that designates the tender number that you are to be on...the higher the number, the later that the tender departs the ship. You don't need a "ticket" for the return tender to the ship.
  15. Hopefully not too dumb of a question regarding the use of Snapchat with the NCL wifi package....I don't use or know anything about Snapchat but my granddaughter does use it.....we will have the upgraded NCL wifi package for our stateroom. Anyone have onbaord experience or knowledge as to whether or not she will be able to connect and use Snapchat in our stateroom thru the NCL upgraded wifi system or ? TIA
  16. I agree totally. IMO, it is much easier and most times faster for me to pull out that one sheet of paper and not have to mess with my phone. I fold it up and keep it with my passport as I'll need both when I arrive at the port....but again, that's just my preference.
  17. They have for me on previous occasions..Best way to find out is to contact them either by calling or using their chat function. Just an FYI, I've experienced situations where the website was showing Haven availability to include the stateroom number only to find out that when I attempted to book it, it really was not available.
  18. I'm cruising on 7/15; I have FCCs which reflect a sail date of 7/14. I could not use the FCCs.
  19. I too have experienced cancellations resulted in FCCs being placed on my NCL account as a result of a cancelled cruise. The FCCs have always been shown directly below my reservation/reservation list on MyNCL. If I have CruiseNext certificates, they are shown in the same place. For me, I always access the MyNCL website using my laptop and never use the app on my phone or tablet as I find the app unreliable. Couple of things that I have found regarding FCCs....First, unless you are traveling solo, the FCCs will be split between all travelers shown in the stateroom for the cancelled cruise based on their portion of the original cruise cost. There are provisions that you can request that the separated FCCs be transferred back to your account but there are restrictions. Second....there are actually two dates that apply to the FCC usage being that they must be used by a specified and you must sail by a specified date. Again, this has been my experience....
  20. As recent as two months ago, the "wellness check" consists of a questionaire that each cruiser must answer around 10 questions....how do you feel today? do you have a cough? ...and other generic questions. Basically they have reverted back to pre-covid process. Never had to answer any of the questions with a Yes so don't know what happens if you do. Not sure what you mean regarding "trying to decide what time".
  21. Upper deck has 2 small hot tubs. Like most other Haven Pools, it is a small one.
  22. where is the link for the form itself ? TIA
