  1. DO NOT take any recommendations from this non-medical board! Speak with your own physician to determine what's right for YOU based on your medical history and meds you may be taking!
  2. That was the 2016 Circle South America Grand Voyage on Mariner. We were there. That was the last of multiple issues for that cruise....earlier one of the ship's props took on a fishing net which slowed us considerably until we could get to a location with specialized divers to remove it (in Ushuaia, I think). Missed port Stanley due to that. The 3-day stay at Santos was due to the ship's emergency backup generator malfunctioning when tested during normal pre-departure procedures. Brazilian customs would not "clear" the parts flown in to repair the unit. Regent had already flown in the technicians from the Japanese manufacturer. Regent ended up renting a separate generator loaded in a Conex container which was set up on deck where the golf driving net was located. The technicians connected it thru the ship's funnel and they also had to shore-up the ceiling area on the affected side of LaVeranda to support the huge weight of the unit. Thus that side of LV remained closed for the duration of the trip back to Miami where they were finally able to remove the rental unit, repair the ship's own emergency backup generator and return LV to full use. Interesting trip!
  3. Fine print says "*40% savings is off of the cruise-only fare portion of total fare, which excludes applicable air and Free hotel fare/credit"
  4. "Save even more on your voyage with our new Flexible Air* offer, giving you Up To 40% Savings when you choose Premium Economy Air over Business Class Air on select sailings to Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Pacific. Book by May, 31 2023." flexible-air-offer-flyer.pdf
  5. @RetiredandTravel apology accepted. We can agree to disagree on what truly matters to each of us with regard to our onboard experience.
  6. "Dated?" As long as it's fresh, clean and functional does it matter if it's not a trendy fashion statement?
  7. Though we are not the "commenter" in this thread - it's not that the times were just "missing" - when we were using the pool we noticed many that were coming away from the concrete floor of the pool - we actually made a little pile of them in the corner of said pool. Tile edges weren't too sharp, but..... Just our observation as we noted to the GM, not complaint.
  8. Surely you jest 😆 Some of us must keep.up our fitness level for medical reasons...not to mention the calorie burn for all that lovely food and drink!
  9. For me...it's BEFORE my morning workout.
  10. Around 0630 each morning there is a "fitness breakfast" where the pool grill is located. They can prepare whatever 'juiced' drink you like - I usually get beetroot, carrot, celery, watermelon, spinach, lemon and ginger. They have an industrial-type juicer that works like a charm. There's a variety of fresh veggies and fruits from which you can choose your own concoction.
  11. Their contracts are quite irregular and subject to change. You can always ask on this board for info from someone currently on the ship in question, keeping in mind that by the time you board the same CD/ACD may not be there.
  12. I think they didn't update the description as it sounds more like what's on Explorer and Splendor. In a similar unedited issue - the "Welcome Aboard Seven Seas Navigator" booklet that recently came with our docs for next month's cruise indicates that there's an outdoor area for Coffee Connection.....NOT. And that same description you mentioned for the "infinity edge plunge pool." Another NOT. Apparently the editors are asleep at the wheel!
  13. Oh, we might save you a drop or two... 🤣
  14. That one is a very abbreviated video vs the one that is shown on your suite TV
  15. @pappy1022 agree with many of your points.... except it's the cost PER VEHICLE not per person for a private car/van.
  16. 👍 We will chill the champers for sure!
  17. Looking forward to it! We are also onboard for the previous voyage starting in Seward. Ring us up when you board.
  18. Sandy (Kwaj Girl) and Dana (Kwaj Boy) Huntsville AL You'll find us in 806!
  19. Don't dread it! We'll be onboard with you. There's really no way to predict seas - there have been times where it's "smooth sailing" and other times the unpredictable weather can make things a bit rocky. Mom's best advise that she gave us before our first cruise in 1985 - "Just have something in your stomach all the time (eg: don't skip meals) and keep busy with entertainment or activities." She was right! Anyway, on sea days there will be lectures in the show lounge, indoor/outdoor games of various kinds with the Production Cast, daily Team Trivia, gym & spa are open, relax outdoors or on your balcony with a good book....you get the idea. Or join us for a glass (or two) of Champagne and conversation!
  20. Also a great way to meet new Trivia partners! That's what we did earlier this year...and we'll be a team again this year on Grandeur’s insugurals. 👍
  21. Prime 7 - Porterhouse For Two.....mmm
  22. Interesting....we were on a similar summer itinerary in Summer '18 and an overnight trip including the Tatoo was an optional (purchased) tour. Maybe Regent could not get tickets this year to offer such a program. 🤔
  23. Hopefully NOT! Bathrobes belong in the suite or in the spa...and not going between the suite and spa, either!
