  1. One might be surprised at how regular daily physical activity (walking or otherwise) can definitely improve stamina and general wellbeing. We have been doing this since retirement in 2015. Much better than just trying for a quick "catch-up" pre-cruise.
  2. What was her home country?
  3. Might have ben a one-off as noted by the poster. We enjoyed some bottles from the Connoisseur Wine List on Voyager this past Jan/Feb as well as Navigator this past Apr/May/Jun with correct decanting (when needed) as well as well-times refills.
  4. Sometimes those less-strenuous tours may not include "popular" sites - what I meant was that Regent's ground operators could offer a couple of tours that might not cover as much ground but yet go to some of those easier-accessible sites...just would not have time to go to all the places in the regular version of the tour. You are correct that Regent can't stop someone from signing up for a tour, lest they be accused of discrimination. But that does affect the rest of the group when having to wait for some to catch up (keep up) with everyone.
  5. Some river cruise lines offer "leisurely/slower-paced" versions of tours/excursions to cater to those who need/prefer something less strenuous. I have mentioned this more than once in my end-of-cruise evaluations....to no avail.
  6. We always decline them anyway. No loss for us. Actually we rarely indulge in dessert - save our calories for indulging in a 'bit of the grape!' 😉
  7. I think there are "unscented" products (on request to your room steward/ess)
  8. That's right! Also small plastic combs. There was also a jug of some kind of pump-dispenser mouthwash with a stack of little paper cups
  9. "Heated" - a bit maybe, but I don't think they're warm enough for the air temperatures you're mentioning, though we did recently see some hardy souls use the hot tubs on our Canada/New England voyage last month on Navigator, I bet they froze their you-know-whats off when the got out!
  10. Provided in all suites: L'Occitane products Bar soap Shampoo Conditioner Shower gel Body Milk (not really good lotion) Also disposable shower caps, cotton buds (q-tips) Higher-end suites have additional products but not toothpaste/shave cream/mouthwash.
  11. yes...any card will work. I think I used my AARP card last time on Explorer. 😉
  12. Not sure what you mean here? Thank you, though, for the rest of your assessment. Good information as we will be doing the reverse this fall.
  13. If you are not going to use the aluminum bottles...just leave them in the cabinet rather than take them home. I kept 1bottle from several cruises ago and bring it with me for subsequent voyages. The new/unused ones stay in the lower cabinet where the champagne bucket is stored. No waste!
  14. Actually....I checked with the Head Housekeeper. She checked the shipping carton for product details and...there it was! Really. 750 ml on the nose! 😉
  15. The aluminum Vero bottles hold 750 ml...equivalent to a full bottle of wine. Just don't filll to the top - you'll still have plenty in there to quench your thirst
  16. Pretty sure you'll pay the full price for the hotel room. When a room is priced "per person (based on) double" it just means that each is assessed half the full price of the room.
  17. Thanks for the update. We were on the previous 4 voyages (May/June) that could not get to Corner Brook due to ice. We used those lightweight aluminum Vero water bottles both on and off the ship. Great move toward helping to reduce plastic waste.
  18. We disembarked Navigator last Friday 6/23. Guests embarking that day were to begin the Grand Arctic Adventure - so far, no 'live' reporting or any feedback from the first week. Anybody out there?
  19. It's sometimes a dinner appetizer in Compass Rose and sometimes on the LA Veranda lunch buffet.
  20. Why the fight? Anything in the deleted video give any indication of the cause?
  21. And remember.....it is a "suite." 😉
  22. Ummm...no....wine actually has a higher density than water...so...
