  1. He is not retiring. Leaving 5/31 for vacation but will be back later this year until November, so is not scheduled to be onboard for Christmas/ New Years. I asked him yesterday, so...that's as recent as it is.
  2. We are on Navigator as we speak. There is a 220v (3-hole outlet) above the nightstand, but your machine would need to be able to operate on 220. However, if the cpap-user sleeps on the side of the bed closest to the little vanity area - there is a 110-120v outlet right under the mirror. Outlet is within 4 ft of the bedside.
  3. They are providing a similar ( same?) tour for those of us staying onboard for the next segment. Never been to Montreal so we decided to sign up for it.
  4. Oh, my! Brownies! But I may as well just apply it directly to my hips, so we skipped it. John Joseph was the comedian - and yes, her WAS funny!
  5. Waiting for y'all to join us! We promise not to drink all the champagne before you get here...🤣
  6. "Discounting" .... a good idea? Not if it cheapens the experience. I'll leave it at that.
  7. We are on B2B (actually 5 that started 4/21) so still have Newport on the voyage prior to this cancelled stop. We, personally, are thrilled- now we can go to Katz's for that corned beef/pastrami huge sandwich....with half-sour pickles!
  8. We're onboard now and will continue until June. We are on 7 - just look for our door plaques. Navigator has always been our fave....boutique 🛳 ship, so to speak.
  9. I think Ray leaves for vacation on 5/31 and Dru (Drew?) takes over. ACD Chase will still be here- younger guy with lots of energy.
  10. We are ready to greet you! Staying on until 6/23.
  11. Good news! We've been on Navigator since 4/21. NO "brown water" problems. Or any other functional problems for that matter. Crew is phenomenal. Dining is excellent. So glad to be back onboard this little gem 💎
  12. Disregard...just checked with onboard Destinations. It's Freeport and they are working it out as we speak
  13. "The Bahamas?" Did it specify WHERE? Nassau? Freeport? Somewhere else?
  14. Interesting! I never received that email. I'm on Navigator now and will see if I can find out what's going on. We'll be on board thru most of June. Guess we'll see if anymore changes come this way.
  15. The tour operators have had huge post-covid problems trying to restart their businesses- previous employees likely had to find other work to support their famies since 2020 and may not be willing or able to go back to being guides or vehicle drivers. Could be lots of reasons such as this, which of course are totally out of the cruiseline's control. Perhaps tour operators offered them back when you booked....in the expectation that by now things would be back to normal....but had to do a close-in cancellation notice to Regent when they realized they could not provide the drivers/guides/vehicles for your chosen tour.
  16. Looks like optionsvia FRA, ZRH and others. Double connections from our US non-standard hometown but definitely do-able.
  17. BUT...Grandeur will not have an infinity pool. Being replaced with hot tubs. 😡
  18. Your suite steward/ess can easily provide 2 bottles of your preferred libation...such as the rum you mentioned plus a bottle of wine......replaced as you consume them. Just let your steward/ess know your preference when you meet him/her on embarkation afternoon. Your selections will be there when you return after dinner.
  19. Well, I guess you set me straight! I never knew.......
  20. MediMeclazine is available at no cost from Reception. BUT check with your doctor/pharmacist to be sure it will be okay for you.
  21. DO NOT take any recommendations from this non-medical board! Speak with your own physician to determine what's right for YOU based on your medical history and meds you may be taking!
  22. That was the 2016 Circle South America Grand Voyage on Mariner. We were there. That was the last of multiple issues for that cruise....earlier one of the ship's props took on a fishing net which slowed us considerably until we could get to a location with specialized divers to remove it (in Ushuaia, I think). Missed port Stanley due to that. The 3-day stay at Santos was due to the ship's emergency backup generator malfunctioning when tested during normal pre-departure procedures. Brazilian customs would not "clear" the parts flown in to repair the unit. Regent had already flown in the technicians from the Japanese manufacturer. Regent ended up renting a separate generator loaded in a Conex container which was set up on deck where the golf driving net was located. The technicians connected it thru the ship's funnel and they also had to shore-up the ceiling area on the affected side of LaVeranda to support the huge weight of the unit. Thus that side of LV remained closed for the duration of the trip back to Miami where they were finally able to remove the rental unit, repair the ship's own emergency backup generator and return LV to full use. Interesting trip!
