  1. But none has to see him perform. I was on several sailings on Celebrity where he performed and after checking him out a couple of times and I just skipped his "shows" as in my opinion he has little talent. I But others think otherwise. He has fans who book to be on with him. People often disagree about artists. One problem back then was he was taking up prime space on the ship. On a ship like Anthem there are a lot more venues so it should be easy to ignore him.
  2. Someone in our group on a group cruise a few years ago was asked at embarkation. They ended up getting the permission faxed. Delayed their boarding a bit. It wasn’t that they could not get permission. That had not documented it. So it is best to have it just in case.
  3. I would expect the NCL ferry to St.George to be operating and the public ferry to Hamilton. The public ferry to St. George's will either start at end of April or start of May. I usually would to St. George because I like to spend some time there but I don't think it makes much difference. It might come down which ferry is most convienient to your schedule.
  4. I have both a mini and an 11 inch iPad Pro. I use both sizes. I replaced the iPad Mini 4 because it was getting slow. When I say obsolete that means it can't be updated to latest iOS. It is officialy obsoleted by Apple that is all. That does not mean it stops working. Possibly apps by third parties won't be updated. The iPad 7 is also been designated obsolete by Apple. That does not mean they stop working. They may be sufficient for your use.
  5. Certainly do leave it in my cabin or hotel room safe. I do carry a photocopy.
  6. You are Canadian. You can't leave without a passport. So your answer has that bias. Of course a passport is the best document and recommended but since there are instances where there might be an issue for one reason or another I see no reason not to travel with a birth certificate if it is allowed for US citizens on closed loop cruises. As far as excursions I have been on many and not a single one insisted on a passport.
  7. It will clear for all. If you want to be selective go to Safari>Advanced. Website data. Find Cruise Critic and swipe left. Delete.
  8. The iPad mini 4 is obsolete and iOS 15 is the latest version it can run. I sold mine a couple of years ago. No problems on iPad mini 6 and iPad Pro. OP has not said if they are running iOS 15 or an earlier version. First thing I would suggest is that they restart and see if that makes a difference. If not then they would want to try clearing the cache. Settings>Safari : clear history and website data.
  9. My post quoting the Royal Caribbean meteorologist that Coco Cay was canceled was cut but another poster who quoted the post intact remains. Go figure. Maybe they did not like that is was from the bird social media. I know some have said we can mention other social media sites but I don’t see anything else about the post.
  10. Yes you can rent one of the mini electric two seaters. There are several types of vehicle. You can drive with a US driver’s license. I would mention they drive on the opposite side of the road in Bermuda as we do in the US.
  11. If the cruise industry was in good shape financially I would agree. Given that it is cheaper to operate newer ships that have more revenue opportunities Celebrity might decide to offload M-Class. Who would buy? I understand that Summit will be replaced on the Bermuda sailings by Eclipse seems like the jhandwriting is on the wall. Perhaps M-Class will be used for short sailings.
  12. With Celebrity building a new class of ship which is very different feature the Millenium class does not really fit. Plus it does not seem like cruises on that class of ship are selling well. What other cruise line would want that class thse days? It is too middling. Prinsendam can fill a niche of smaller ships can go to ports larger ones can not.
  13. I would worry more about her being sent to the breakers.
  14. Every ship is potentially for sale. Constellation was not listed by Celebrity. That brokerage has been listing many ships for years to draw people their website.to make themselves look good. I have seen threads like this for over 15 years about listings on that website started when people saw it and freaked out cause a ship they booked was on it. The listings are phoney.
  15. the Royal Caribbean meteorologist who canceled the Royal Caribbean ships schedualed that day say not. When Dave (thanks for asking Dave) asked him on Twitter about Wish he verified with the Port Captain who said it did not happen. I will go with the Royal Caribbean people on this over you. They have credibility.
  16. I don't hink they were on the saiing in question though.
  17. I have been to Labadee twice on CeIebrity. Docked but not with another ship. I seem to recall that some other cruise line than Royal or Celebrity was allowed to call at Labadee. It was a one off visit. It was years ago before the dock. I don't think it was one of the mass market lines.
  18. When I lived in Maryland we saw foxes and deer all the time. Not seen either here in Texas.
  19. I have seen a few coyotes. Do you have Armadillos there?
  20. Almost everywhere I use my card in the US except restaurant table service has contactless tap payment. I notice I am one of the few who uses it. Tap is so much faster. I can use my Apple Watch for most payments. Yesterday I was at Target and the lady in front of had inserted her chip card and it was not reading. Inserted it four times. The cashier took her credit card, most credit cards now have tap and the reader accepted that. The lady was freaked out. She had no idea she could tap her credit card.
  21. I was on two different say;ing on Royal Caribbean out of Florida and there were about 500-600 Brazilians about ten years ago. They even had menus available in Purtuguese. They followed their own rules. They smoked on the Royal Promenade and the crew could not stop them. They smoked in the elevators so I took the stairs always. There are cultural differences. They were dressing the way they did at home. On the pool deck both women and men were dressed skimpier than Americans dress. Could hardly call what the women were wearing anything. Didn't bother me........The smoking though was annoying. Really so many that the crew couldn't do anything. I
  22. Thanks for the report. Sorry you had bad weather. Personally Nassau is one port I would not mind being skipped. Every scheduled stop at Coco Cay on my sailings was canceled before they built the dock. Hope you have good weather .
  23. I don't see Coco Cay as an option for a medical emergency unless it was a place that a chopper could land and pick up to take somewhere else. It is not impossible that Disney contracted with Royal to have a day there if they missed a port. Surely Royal might take the money if there was space available.
  24. Same here in North Texas. We had two days in the 80's.
