  1. I also work in IT. The Medallion app is awful. They had years to improve this during COVID and chose not to. Your son is right - there are a variety of scenarios they need to code and test. Other companies are able to successfully write great apps that work on multiple platforms. Not sure why Princess can't.
  2. This is an awful itinerary now. If you can switch - I would.
  3. Some TAs are great, others are not. Many of us love our agents (and their prices). I wouldn't worry about needing to book with a PVP due to airfare. The airlines/cruise lines will help people the same if you book airfare through them. I had my flight cancelled 5x on my way home from a cruise and the airline worked with me and kept rebooking me.
  4. I have not done Majestic but would choose Coral Princess also 🙂
  5. @chengkp75He is our best resource on this board.
  6. I would bring one of those eMed tests and hope you have decent internet to test the day before.
  7. That is such a beautiful area. I hope you go. 🙂
  8. @caribillis exactly right. They do this so that if you decide the next day to book the cruise, they have locked in the price. If you decide against it - it falls off.
  9. It wasn't an agreement. Princess does not allow travel agents to post cruises below published rates. This was a decision by Princess. Though since Princess still allows discounting, agents can quote lower prices, just not on a website. It can be via email or phone.
  10. I have no doubt that in the future you will have a wonderful cruise! In the mean time, plan something that you can reach via car and that you will spend plenty of time outside. If you feel unsafe somewhere - you can re-arrange things - such as eat outside at a restaurant instead of inside.
  11. It shows up on the ship. In December, mine was refundable. Not sure if things have changed or not.
  12. It sounds like your you know what you want to do. I would hope your TA would not pressure you. I would listen to your gut feeling.
  13. I think the software alerts the booking agent that you have a FCD. He can then say yes or not. If he was new, he probably didn't pay attention. And then was defensive as you knew more than he did.
  14. It is actually pretty bad - regardless of the 4G map's coverage. Outside of Lincoln and Omaha - Sprint had sucky service. T-Mobile just inherited the sucky service. When I was with friends driving to Colorado - they had zero coverage once we left my area. So as long as you stayed in Lincoln or Omaha you were fine. Verizon doesn't have great 5G service here but their 4G is really good.
  15. I so want to switch to T-Mobile for the European experience. Unfortunately the big black hole in the center of their map is where I live. So I would get great coverage in Europe but zilch where I live. They just started opening up T-Mobile offices here since they acquired Sprint. I think I am ok in my city but if I leave city limits - I am out of luck.
  16. I think inept. He probably accidentally applied the FCD.
  17. I never have any luck booking shore excursions in Ketchikan (my least favorite port). I obviously am looking at the wrong place.
  18. I had original FCC applied to a December cruise. When I booked an April cruise - I was able to move it to that cruise.
