  1. Ours was the start of the repositioning of the ship from Alaska to Australia. Usually you can get them either direction, the two times per year that they move.
  2. And if you do use a backpack, please pay attention to your movements. Just about every single time that I fly, someone whacks me with their backpack either in the airport or on the plane. It is very rude, especially when they don't acknowledge it. The dang thing sticks out two feet behind them, but they spin around like nothing is there. I do not remember the last time that I was blindsided by someones suitcase!!
  3. Five or so years ago, we did a one-way from Vancouver to the Hawaiian Islands. This was in September and the seas were not rough at all.
  4. Yes, on Delta anyway, I'm not sure about other carriers, they will show all unselected seats in classes below yours as blocked. If you go on Delta.com or the app and don't log in and look at available seats for that flight, it will show you the actual occupied and blocked seats. The only way for you to now be able to select one of those, would be to call Delta direct.
  5. Or you can copy and paste the WHOLE itinerary from flightmatrix into bookwithmatrixdot com and that will take you directly to the airline site with the itinerary prepopulated.
  6. I pretty much understood, but wasn't positive. It probably would have been less confusing had you switched the A380 paragraph to the end and the end paragraph to the middle. That way the first two would have been talking about the same aircraft, with the A380 info at the end. Just my 2 cents. I am only replying because you asked, I'm not being critical. Also, because there is only one character different, I could see how someone, especially someone not familiar with Airbus aircraft, could think that the 380 was a typo from 350.
  7. Actually they did in the initial post. Though, the post is kind of confusing. Maybe an A380 one way and A350 the other?
  8. I'm not sure if anyone watches "Mysteries of the Abandoned", but on the episode a few weeks ago, the "Big U' was one of the stories on the episode. They had the granddaughter of the designer on there with the history of the ship and some indoor shots. Sad, but beautiful at the same time.
  9. You could also do aisle-aisle. I have started doing that on 3 and 4 abreast sections. You'll each have to sit next to a stranger---but only on one side.
  10. Heck, I remember that even the Dolphin IV had a piano in the dining room!!
  11. I'll agree with @Zach1213 on this one. How many times in the last five years has MSP been literally shut down for three days like DFW and DAL were last week? I haven't checked, but I would guess few or none, at least for more than maybe a few hours. I don't remember how the Dallas airports did during Snowmaggedon a few years ago, but I assume they were closed at least part of the time as basically, the whole state was shut down for three days.
  12. Another thing to remember is that even if the weather in BNA isn't bad, the weather where the plane and/or crew is coming from, could also be a factor. Also, while the first flight of the day is safer than other times, I have had numerous flights on various airlines first flights of the day, that were still delayed because the crew came in late the night before and the flight could not leave until their rest period was up. Just because the plane is ready, doesn't necessarily mean that the crew is. And this could be caused by something as little as one of the three or four flight attendants being late, not necessarily the whole crew. There are always a lot of factors besides just the weather at the departure and/or arrival airport that could muck things up.
  13. This can also be done on AF-DL, as AF has flights from PTP-MIA.
  14. Not sure about FDF, but AF has flights from MIA-PTP, but not daily.
  15. My DW and I went to Sydney a few years ago. I flew middle seat on the upper deck of a Quantas A380 from LAX, just to fly on the upper deck of an A380 (these were the only upper deck coach seats left). I figured that if I can do 16 hours doing that, I can do anything. On the return, we were on the lower deck, but got lucky as the empty seat in our row was only one of about five on the plane.
  16. Thanks. Yes, I have checked those and agree that there are not a lot of them. It doesn't seem like there is any pattern to which cabins have it and which don't. I wish there was an easier way to tell. I booked it thinking that it was, based on the little info that I found, so I think that I'm good.
  17. There is no Premium Economy on any airline that I am aware of that has 3-3-3 or 3-4-3. Those are strictly Economy or Economy with extra legroom.
  18. Planning on trying MSC for the first time next year on a TA on the Seaside. On a balcony cabin, I prefer the bed by the balcony. Is there any easy way to tell which ones have that. I am booked in 12173 currently. There is "B" on the plan, which I believe signifies a bathtub (though I may be wrong). I have looked at some cabin pictures at the usual sites on-line and can not really make heads nor tails of which ones are set up that way. I have been on the Norwegian Epic where it is easy to tell based on the curve placement in the cabin. I just can't seem to find anything with MSC deck plans that makes this known. Thanks.
  19. I was hoping for a Spring 2024 TA to replace our cancelled Regal one that was supposed to go next year. I have done a southern Med one westbound already. I was hoping for a northern one like next year's was supposed to be, but no such luck. Not really interested in ending at Southhampton. Oh well, maybe someday.
  20. I am waiting on these also, as our 2023 on the Regal got cancelled. That one was booked in July, 2021, not sure why the wait is so long for 2024.
  21. You should have typed D0 fly as often!!! Especially since this topic deals with AA. I'm sure the frequent flyers would understand that one.

    NCL Flights

In the future, FYI there are numerous luggage storing businesses around the Penn Station area in NYC. I have used them before. You could have taken the train over and back and just left your luggage there for the day.
  23. Not for long.... The Norwegian Prima, which is sailing its maiden cruise this week, is the first ship in NCL's fleet to carry Coca-Cola products. The remaining ships will make the change by the end of December, NCL said.
  24. If this is because of the 3-hour lounge rule, that does not apply if you are on a connecting flight, only if you are originating at that city. You should be good for the lounge.
