  2. I am nearby in an Ashton Woods home built the same time. I painted my home with elastomeric paint before the 3 hurricanes in 2004 because I was disappointed with the original paint job, luckily it prevented issues.

  4. For those that are going to remove their automatic tips: You should let your cabin steward know that you will tip them in cash because they are informed who removes the automatic tips. You don’t want your cabin steward to think you are going to stiff them and their assistants who work behind the scenes and get so upset that they mistakenly use your toothbrush to clean the toilet.

  8. Cruise prices have gone up. Suggested gratuities have also gone up. Cabin service cut from twice a day to once a day. Many other cutbacks have been reported. We are all paying more and getting less for many different goods and services these days. It's your money and vacation time, if cruising is still worth it to you, continue cruising and enjoy! I will.
  9. Many times, the Cabin Stewart thanks us for keeping our cabin clean and organized and is happy that our cabin is so easy to maintain. Had a few Cabin Stewarts invite us to peak inside other cabins to show how messy and disgusting some guests are.

Some content from the Cruise Directors spiel was all about how often the Cabin Stewards clean your cabin, it now has to change: Was: "You drop a towel on the floor, leave the room and it is picked up and replaced with a clean towel." Now: "You drop a towel on the floor, you have to time it right with your once-a-day cleaning, or else it will be there for up to 24 hours, still wet and not replaced with a clean one" Was: "You get up in the middle of the night, go to the bathroom, come back to bed and your bed is made up" Now: "You get up in the middle of the night, go to the bathroom, your bed will still be unmade like it was for most of the day if you choose evening as your once-a-day cleaning"
  11. I would not be surprised if the smoke free casino eventually expands into the Diamond Club space.
  12. There is complementary coffee and desserts as well as specialty coffee for purchase at the Cafe Promenade on Deck 5. There is also a Starbucks on Deck 4.
  13. The 3 night cruises that sail over the weekends tend to have a more party rowdy atmosphere compared to the 4 night cruises that sail during the week.
  14. Wouldn’t surprise me if they expand the Non Smoking Casino Royal into the Diamond Club space on this ship and other Oasis class ships. More $$$ to be made.

  17. Does it take any time for Royal Caribbean to add their travel protection insurance to the booking and forward the updated information to the TA? The TA I call is actually a customer service representative of a large online travel company. Do they have to wait for another department of that company to send the guest copy of the invoice? Thanks for your assistance
  18. I booked a cruise through a travel company’s website, I called the travel company and requested that they call Royal Caribbean and ask them to add their travel protection insurance. I received an updated invoice from the travel company that shows the new price of cruise with the added insurance, however it is not itemized with the breakdown of the cruise fare and insurance. Does Royal Caribbean provide a guest copy of invoice showing the itemized breakdown. How long does it take after adding the insurance for the travel company to request the updated invoice from Royal Caribbean so it can be sent to me?
