  1. Carnival had such great deals to Alaska last year I finally tried out the laundry service on a B2B and it worked out good. I have heard they use really hot water, so I requested cool water if possible. Don't know if they can or did but the laundry was fine.
  2. Sadly, Allstate seems to be in serious decay. Their travel gift card section has 1 gift card for oil change? Even big categories like dining have only 9 offers and the huge retail area has only 21 offers and none are ecards that I saw. If they really cared it woudn't be this sparse. I preferred to buy the Carnival e cards from Allstate but now have to use my back up AARP account, which has tons of options for other e gift cards. I hope Allstate gets it together, but am not holding my breathe 😉 .
  3. Carnival has fairly recently reversed the itinerary for Mexico. Cabo used to be the first stop and would stay to a reasonable 6 pm then off to Mazatlan and the Puerto Vallarta and two sea days on the way back. This was a much better route. Some of the 5 day cruises still offer later times at Cabo.
  4. The Spirit is an awesome ship, perfect layout IMHO and the dining room is quite nice compared to the grapes of the Miracle dining room. Also another thing going for the Spirit class is the best serentiy area in the fleet another humble opinion 😉
  5. Looking at the Pride map, if they want to sacrifice the jogging/mini golf deck they could quickly add rooms there like they did on the Elation. This would entail adding elevators to the 11th deck. Frankie has mentioned a new bank of elevators. All speculation here !
  6. Like others have said, the Raphiel bar area and the conference room right by it where the art is usually shown are decent size areas that could be changed relatively easily. On the Spirit the conference room/ art lounge is now the Soul Play area.
  7. There is no way they could cut the ship in half and add a section in a month's time! And I highly doubt Carnival would put that kind of money into a smaller 21 year old ship even if such a move was feasible. Even adding rooms to a Spirit class would be tough because there is no aft lounge to get rid of. I guess they could get rid of the smaller lounge on deck one for rooms but that is the only good size lounge for the comedy besides the main showroom above it. If the pride still has a casino bar that will be history more than likely.
  8. I don't waste food period. Calm down you are an aggressive lad! I make one quote about the chicken and you can't let it rest.
  9. I got my fill, I always choose a couple of starters. It was just a big change from my Feb cruise in the quality, but it could be a one time issue. I will see in May on the Spirit to Alaska. There are plenty of other things I like also. I could live off Guy's and Blue Iguana but that wouldn't be so good to the waist line 😉 . Most of the starter soups I love.
  10. It may very well have been a one off. In my 56 years I have eaten a lot of chicken legs. I measured my thumb which is about an inch across. This leg was at best 1 1/2 inches across and short. Most chicken legs are bulbous at the meat end, but this was almost the same from top to bottom. It had the frozen box of chicken taste I have also had a few times in my life. I don't come here to bash Carnival, I have 1000 shares I bought in the low 20's and I definitely want them to succeed. My last fried chicken on the Spirit in Feb was good. I will be on the Spirit again in May to Alaska and will give it another shot.
  11. I agree with you on the waste. I eat what I order. It is unbelievable the amount of food waste I see in the MDR and especially the lido restaurant. I don't even like to be at the same table with someone in my group who wastes mounds of food. Half portions would be good for those who want them, but people have said they tend to bring the whole portion anyway.
  12. Shirly you must be kidding. I guess a struck a nerve with the cheerleaders 🤣 But I will keep you all in mind.
  13. I'm glad yours was. Mine was tiny. Next time I will take pics for you doubting Thomases.
  14. That's gotta be rough for those out there chasing their 15 drinks with added coffee and energy drinks the day before!
  15. 6:30am to 2:30pm In Cabo? Are they going to offer breakfast making excursions? 🤣. That's way too early to leave Cabo for me!
  16. I never leave starving, there are still plenty of starters I do like. I am just calling it like I see it. When the chicken leg comes out and is about the same diameter of my thumb and tastes like a frozen dinner, I call it like it is. With 34 billion in debt I do realize Carnival is in a fight for survival right now and probably one more economic shock could send it to chapter 11. It is not the end of the world, but the food quality in general has definitely gone down over my many Carnival cruises.
  17. Is it just me or has this thread gone way off course? 🤣 To get back on track I got zero points on the Allstate spin game again 🤣
  18. If we only had a way to spend them 😉 ! I am accumulating too many points with nowhere to spend!
  19. If that is the March Savings sale then you are okay to switch at no penalty.
  20. The portions are pretty small now. Off the Radiance last week and the fried chicken, which used to be two decent pieces of chicken, was tiny now and tasted like frozen Banquet chicken. I used to like their fried chicken dinner, but not so much now.
  21. Deck 3 is great for that on the Miracle! Outside area is large, shaded, and not crowded. Most obstructed view balconies on the Miracle have a good view across, unless you are at the front by the two larger lifeboats.
  22. If you want quiet places to read, the Miracle is your baby! Interior promenade on deck 3 front is a ghost town for the most part.
  23. There isn't one platinum benefit worth $300 dollars for him to book it instead of your cheaper rate. But yes, he still gets all his benefits.
