  1. We exercise almost every day. Living in Mi we take advantage of the weather and bike at least 20 miles per day. In the colder months we do Beach Body. P90X, Insanity, Max 30., Focus, and etc. We are in our late 70โ€™s. When on a cruise we enjoy it. Donโ€™t see the need to exercise. Our bodies need a rest. If you look at any exercise program your body need a rest period. They need to give their body a rest so just enjoy the cruise. If they do feel the need do as we do, use the stairs and do a lot of walking in the ports. It doesnโ€™t really do much but it is better than nothing. We did try some of their free exercise classes and found them not to be very intense. In reality they donโ€™t want them to be so intense as to cause a heart attack. There are classes that they can sign up for in the gym for fee. Not worth the cost. We get free classes because of our CC status. Donโ€™t use it. Just enjoy the cruise and forget about it. RELAX. ENJOY Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  2. Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes. Dress for the weather. Donโ€™t violate the clothing police Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
  3. I donโ€™t know all of the facts but it appears as if it was a complimentary cruise thru the casino. If that is the case I donโ€™t think there is a benefit. Read all of the questions in the link I provided. Also as others have posted apply for it 4 to 6 weeks before the cruise. Also in the link Here is the link for FAQ. In one of the questions it has the link for the form to apply. You donโ€™t need to do it thru a TA. You do it yourself https://www.rclinvestor.com/contact-us/faqs/shareholder-benefit/ Hope this helps. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  4. I donโ€™t understand the fascination of the hot glass on board the ship. If you want to do that just google hot glass academy or workshop. I am sure you will find many places near your residence that offers it. I know it is a memory of your cruise. OK. Just a suggestion if it is really something you are interested in. Below is a map where I live in MI that has glass blowing opportunities. Support your local busineeses. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  5. I am looking for a reasonable rate for parking for a cruise out of Boston. I have read that there is a 20% discount if on a cruise. I canโ€™t find that. I have tried others and as post 33 wrote that parking at lot C doesnโ€™t pop up The only price I come up with is $330 for a 11 day cruise. Thanks for any help/suggestions. Happy cruising. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  6. We were on the Constellation in Mar and we were able to order from any menu. Every night our server would bring us all 3 menus and we never asked for them. Is it the Maitreโ€™d or the server. Call me a liar?? I am giving my experience. I donโ€™t make up stuff just to make it up. Whenever we were on a M class in Luminae we could always order from the other menus. They also use to have the menus in Michaels Club. Why would they do that if you couldnโ€™t order off of them? I donโ€™t know if they still do because of the app. Your comment could apply to anything. I could say we were able to get a certain liquor on the premium drink pack. Is it across the board? The other ships may not carry it. Am I wrong for saying that? I could say that our butler provided us with โ€ฆ. Is it across the board? Donโ€™t know. Can just report on my experience. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  7. Wear over size clothes. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Do you really think others are looking at you. If you are than George Burns said it best. Women dress to impress other women if not they would just wear a hat and maybe sunglasses to keep the sun out of their eyes. Just be sure that you donโ€™t do this Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  8. In March we played our OBC in the slots and werenโ€™t charged any fees. You do have to run thru 50% of what the amount you used to play. Eg If you put in $100 you have to play at least $50 before cashing out, such as playing $5/ play you would need to play 10 times. If you cash out before that you will get the cash but the next time you try to play anymore OBC you will find that your account is locked. Things may have changed as it use to be 10% but I think too many people were doing that. It also use to be that you could just cash in at the cashier without playing for a 5% fee. We have also found that different ships have different policies. Last year we did a side by side cruise on a M class and S class. The casinos had different rules OBC rules, and also different pay schedules on the VP machines. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  9. The cabins that are on the angle have larger balconies. The cabins are also about 3 to 4 ft deeper. I know this as we were in one for a B2B cruise and had to change to another SS that wasnโ€™t on the angle. We could immediately see the difference. The Persian Gardens on the M class arenโ€™t the same as o. The E and S class. There is no heated loungers. It has a heated bench inside a room with no windows. Like being in dungeon. Being able to dine in Blu is no big deal because in Luminae on the M class you can order from any menu. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  10. Donโ€™t miss the ship. Dont be an idiot and get sunburned the first day or any day. Even in the shade you can get burned from the reflection of the rays Donโ€™t drink too much on the first day. It will still be there tomorrow. Donโ€™t enter the raffles unless you want to be flooded everyday with useless sales papers and phone messages. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  11. We have gone to the CC lunch because of doing a B2B. We were also able to do the Luminae lunch when in a suite. Neither one is anything to get excited about. It is a lunch. Think about it What do you normally have for lunch? This is a time to try something different that may not appeal to you. You may find a new favorite. It is basically something to hold you over until dinner and if it isnโ€™t enough there is always something available later in the the day in the buffet It is basically a time to be able to relax after the tiring and maybe stressful morning by being served instead of the self serve hog trough. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  12. We do the same. Most times the wines listed arenโ€™t available. I think they are there just to fill the menu. The sommelier also seems to like having the freedom of being able to recommend something. One of the reasons we enjoy a cruise is to be able to try different entrees, and drinks that we normally wouldnโ€™t have. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  13. I was on the Seashore in Feb. The bourbon selection was very poor. If I recall Buffalo Trace was the only bourbon. They kept telling me that I the liquor supply hasnโ€™t been distributed from the hold. It was only a 3 day cruise. A person that was on the previous cruise doing a B2B told me that they gave the same excuse on the last cruise. I am a bourbon drinker. Was very disappointed in the selection. We were in the YC. I am not a bourbon snob. I drink mostly bottom end like MM, Wild Turkey, Rebel (Yell). Four Roses, and yes J.T.S. Brown Fast Eddie โ€œPreach. J.T.S. Brown, no glass, no iceโ€. The Hustler. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  14. If you are on a E class ship it isnโ€™t a benefit. M class. Why bother. When on board it doesnโ€™t hurt to try. It depends on who is at the desk. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  15. When held in the Sky Lounge it was considered an event. Lately they have been having some Elite HH in the Sky Lounge and the other person should/may be able to attend. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  16. I have had it apply to side by side cruises with Celebrity. It was a different ship, and port. At the time I was told that the cruises had to be within 3 days of each other. Mine was 1 day apart. Things keep changing and I donโ€™t know if is still possible. Never hurts to ask. Also If you donโ€™t like the answer the first time get a different agent or ask for someone higher up. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  17. Take a cloth with a magnet attached. Have a matching magnet. Put the cloth on the outside of the window and mate the magnets. Slide the magnet over the pane of glass. Helps to slide with a piece of cloth under both magnets. I think many with aquariums clean the inner side of the glass using this method. Try it at home first Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  18. We have been in suites and IV cabins. The only difference for us was the size of the cabin. We purchased the all included package when not in a suite and upgraded to the premium. You get the better speed internet and premium drink pack with a suite. When we sailed in the suite we felt there was a lot of redundancy. We are Elite in the Captains Club so we had access to the breakfast. There was also the Eden Cafe, MDR, Spa Cafe, and buffet for breakfast choices. With the drink pack we could go to any bar. Didnโ€™t need to go to the Retreat lounge and rarely used it. We spent more time in the public areas than in the retreat areas. As others mentioned you wonโ€™t notice that the Retreat area exists. It is in an area you probably wonโ€™t go near. Too many other great areas to use. With the price difference between the suites and a regular cabin I doubt we will be ailing anymore in a suite. YES you can go back after being in one. We have done it and didnโ€™t really miss it. Actually felt better as we still had the extra cost in our bank account to use for another cruise. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  19. In your cabin there will be a little sea pass/ credit card holder. It has 3 slots. If you lose it GR will replace it and void the other card. I always keep my pass in that when on board and leave my wallet in the safe. I have found that the door can be opened with the card inside the holder. No need to take out for that When going on shore I will also take that holder. I will also put my passport card, credit card and some cash in it. That is all I need. My wallet stays in the safe. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  20. No. I wouldnโ€™t like to see that happen. If it did it would turn out like many other loyalty programs where there are so many getting into the higher levels that those levels becomes meaningless and the benefits become reduced or eliminated. It would dilute the program. I belonged to a casino rewards program like many others. They started applying points for credit card use. The highest level was diamond. Now that level has few benefits or status. It was replaced by ruby, platinum, and now I think black plus there are also a more exclusive level that is obtained thru gaming and not from credit card use. . Zenith is hard to obtain as it should be, but it will become the equivalent of select if they start rewarding points for credit card use. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  21. They limit restaurants that are open on port days to give the crew a chance to get off of the ship. They do a rotating duty in those that are open. That is why they are still open on port days if it is a late arrival. They canโ€™t get off the ship and all of the passengers are still on board. The buffet would be worse than embarkation day if the other places werenโ€™t open. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  22. Get the app Drinks Free. It has recipes for as many drinks as you would ever need, want, or donโ€™t want. Plus many variations of the same drink. There is also a feature where you can list the available ingredients and liquors and it will list recipes you can make with them. Drink up ๐Ÿฅƒ๐Ÿง‹๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅค๐Ÿน๐Ÿง‰๐Ÿป
  23. Short answer we loved it. It is in the middle of the ship. The bed doesnโ€™t face the balcony and I donโ€™t see the problem. We had a SS where the bed faced the balcony and it didnโ€™t really do anything for us. The bath doesnโ€™t have the window to look out. Not a big deal. I know many may think it is special. The balcony is large enough to have 2 loungers on it. I will gladly trade the bed facing the balcony and the bath window for those. We spend a lot of time on the balcony. The Magic Carpet is 2 decks above. It provides extra shade and protection from the elements plus there are cabins above instead of a public area. You can also look along the side of the ship through the side window, and yes they can see you. Also the other SS may have a pole in the balcony area. The SS are units of 4. The 2 middle units have a pole. Those balconies are also not as deep as the MC suites. We were able to use the stairs most of the times as we can climb a few flights to go to the retreat areas even though I have had both hips replaced. It all depended on how we felt. Some also may like the other suites as they are closer to the retreat areas but they will still take the elevator instead of the stairs. One flight or 2 doesnโ€™t matter if you take the elevator. All of the retreat areas are at the front of the ship. Yes it would be a long walk. In the MC a you are basically in between the elevator and stair banks. Equal walk any way you want to go. Elevators came rather quickly. Hope it helps to decide. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  24. The problem was the cost of the wine was $10 over the price limit covered by the premium package. I think the price limit was $17 and that wine per glass was $27. I told him that I had the premium and didnโ€™t want to go over that. When he suggested the wine and poured me to taste I again asked if it was covered and he said yes it is $10. To me that was meaning the cost per glass was $10 and covered by the premium package. What he meant was it was $10 over the limit even though I told him a few times I donโ€™t want to go over the limit of the premium pack. Then to be charged for 6 glasses of wine when I say in total I only drank about 2 1/2 glasses because he kept topping off when it was still 1/2 to 3/4 full and I didnโ€™t finish the last full glass. At the time I thought it was just good wine service when all he was after was the additional gratuity of $2/glass. My wife had a white wine that she asked for. It was in the premium package. Funny that he didnโ€™t top her glass as many time as he did mine. I think her glass got refilled once and at that time it was almost empty. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
  25. If the ship still has a library you will find a few of the cookbooks that people left. We did a chefs table. I had a premium drink pack. I mention that to the sommelier. He suggested a red wine. I tried it and it was ok, nothing special just red wine. I am not a wine expert or connoisseur. I asked if it was covered by the package and he said yes it is $10. Fine. My glass would get between 1/2 and 3/4 full and he would top it off. At the end of the dinner and he started to top it off again and I told him not to. I think I left about 3/4 of it. He then gave me a bill to sign. It was for 6 glasses of wine at $10 per plus the gratuity. I asked why I was getting it and he said because it was $10 over the premium allowance. I didnโ€™t want to make a scene so I signed it. It was for $72. I took the receipt and went to GR and told them the problem. The next day I got a call. The charge was taken off and they were sorry for the misunderstanding. Happy cruising ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŒ…
