We recently did a MSC in Yacht Club, and the Retreat on Celebrity. We booked 2 cruises on MSC and none on Celebrity. We have 2 more already booked on Celebrity but when done we may not book anymore. On Celebrity we did not see any butlers. The room attendant took their place. In the past the butler would see you walking down the hall and would open your door. See you carrying a drink and would carry it for you and insist on doing that. We would normally ask for coffee in the morning to be delivered to the cabin. It seemed to be more of a hassle and the one time we asked for it we felt as if we were annoying them. MSC provided the service that Celebrity use to. Celebrity needs to up their game instead making more cuts with higher prices. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I purchased a future booking certificate and left it with Celebrity. I was told that I would have 30 days after booking a cruise to transfer it to a TA. WRONG. I booked a cruise and found a TA I wanted to transfer to. Used the transfer form and it was denied because it was beyond the 30 days of purchasing the certificate. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Typical with Celebrity. If I ever purchase another (doubt that I will as I just got off of a MSC cruise in the YC that puts Celebrity to shame), I will get it in writing signed by the Future Cruise salesperson. Let them enjoy themselves. How many adults are there at that time and sometimes the adults are worse than the children. I use to use those cess pools but no longer desire to. Got older and wiser. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I think it is the nature of some people to be miserable and complain. Eventually it is expected for them to be like that. The problem is when they are like that they are happy. If you gave them a twenty dollar bill they would complain if it was dirty, or wrinkled, or not enough. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I don’t know why they call it anytime. It is walk up during the hours that it is open. The same as any land based restaurant. I think you can make reservations. Check with the host on the first night or look in your manage your reservations. I can’t say f_r sure as things always change and I get confused between crusie lines Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Follow your nose. Do what you want to do and discover the ship. Don't try to follow and do exactly as others do. You may miss something that you really like. Check out the Eden area. There is a bar, and a cafe. It is open to all and different than the Eden restaurant. It is one of our favorite places to hang out. The bar is a hybrid of the WCB and Sky Lounge giving a view of the wake. Read the reviews and then sift the chaff from the sand. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

What type of cabin are you in? I have never got an email inviting me to the Chefs Table. 🙄 On the serious side we did the Chefs table. As a previous poster mentioned the table mates make the difference. We had a bunch of arrogant very rude table mates. Not a pleasant experience as they knew more than the chef, criticized every course, and the way it was being served, told the officer joining us that they weren’t interested in what he was talking about and etc. i wouldn’t risk paying that much again for the same to happen. The cruise lines always make it appear to be better than what you actually get. They always show the ultimate but in reality it isn’t what you are really getting unless you pay the ultra premium price. They don’t show the disclaimer that there is a extra charge Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

In a few years that color combo will be back in. What goes around comes around. One year it is gray, the next red, then beige and etc. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I am happy that most cruise ships limits smoking areas and more people are quitting the smoking habit. Being in an area where smoking is allowed can be avoided. What I find is worse is that the smoker is around you in a confined area and they reek of smoke. You could be sitting in the theater and they come and sit next to you or around you, same as being seated in a restaurant, tour bus, shuttle and etc. In those situations many times you can’t move away from them. It is usually tables for 2 unless you are traveling with others then you can share a table with them. If you meet some others on board in the retreat areas and become ‘friends” you may also request to dine together. Next time going to a land based restaurant tell the host that you wish to share a table with strangers to see their reaction. 🫠 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

According to the upper management changes have been made to improve your cruising experience and many were because the passengers requested them. There are many threads addressing the improvements. 🤷‍♂️ Yes I request to be charged for room service, eliminate the butler, be charged for an extra entree, eliminate a lot of drinks and brands that use to be included in the classic and premium package, eliminate the gratuities and OBC as perks that was included in the price of the suite, reduce the amount of staff, and etc. If those things weren’t done I wouldn’t be able to afford the price of a cruise. if you haven’t sailed for a year or so am sure that you will find that your experience will be a lot better than you remember. 🙄🤗 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

People start lining up very very early in the morning. We would go to breakfast at 6:30 and there is already a long line. I can only advise about Ft Lauderdale and Miami ports. You will have to go down an escalator and there is a guard standing there. They will only allow one piece of luggage on the escalator per person. If you have more you will have use and wait for the very small elevator. I have seen people take their luggage down the steps. When you get to the bottom you are not allowed back up. So you cannot take down one piece and then go back up to get another. The line to disembark can go very slow as some of the passengers that are in such a hurry to get off don’t have enough sense to have their sea pass card ready. So they stand there holding up the line while searching for their card. Plus you have those that are struggling with a lot of luggage as they maneuver thru the checkout and down the narrow ramp. Fantastic. I pay the outrageous price for a suite and now have to put up with unruly children and crying babies that have access for free in Luminae and in the retreat areas. So much for a retreat area to get away from them and also their splashing in the pool. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

When it use to be held only in the lounge the non elite person sharing a cabin could attend and get the drinks as it was an event, the same as the elite breakfast. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Not only the seating on the balcony but most of the seating areas. I don’t think Kelly or anyone else sat in any of them to see if they are comfortable. It is design, style over function as almost everything she has done on the ships. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

From what I read If it is a partial transit of the canal all tours are thru the ship. When in the lake you leave directly from the ship to go on the tours. If you don’t have a tour you can’t `get off. The ship then stops at a city for a short time after leaving the canal to pick up the passengers. There are delays because of tours that go thru the rest of the locks to the pacific. Those can be delayed because of traffic coming back and also having to wait for access to get into the locks. On the national news today it was reported that some cruise line are thinking of canceling the port. It is too bad as they recently put a lot of money into the area. It wouldn’t bother me if they change the stop to somewhere else as we normally stay on board when there. The same when in Grand Caymen. Don’t like doing the tender, plus the restriction on bars being open. I know, Celebrity found a way to get around it but with all of the cuts they may decide not to be so liberal and restrict it to the one bar period. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I have purchased many straps for my Panerai from here https://panatime.com/watch-straps/by-material/alligator/ i wouldn’t touch those pre owned Rolex watches sold on board. They are over priced for basically a counterfeit. There is a disclaimer that they are reconditioned by a third party not certified by Rolex with non Rolex parts. If you ever sent it back to Rolex for service or repair they would destroy it. It would be hard to resell without taking a big loss. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

There is a store where I have became “friends” with because of the high end watches I buy. I asked why his shop wasn’t listed. He said that he was paying $500 per cruise ship and sometimes there were 7 ships in the port plus a kickback. That is why they want you to fill out that ‘“warranty paper” that is worthless. They just want to know what you buying to make sure that they get their share. He said that the watches he sold didn’t need to be promoted as the serious buyers knew where he was. He didn’t want the people coming in looking for something free or the flippers. He kept the in demand watches for his best customers. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
