  1. Or.... they could have been wandering around the ship pre-symptomatic and infected others.... sort of like what you may have been doing while making your way home.
  2. Further to little britain's remark, here is a screen shot of a FAQ from the official ETIAS website.
  3. Yes. The exchange rate used for the two separate purchases was the same; looks like it's simply a different pricing structure.
  4. Don't you think it's a bit tricky using what you paid in CAD, converting it to USD (perhaps without knowing the exact exchange rate on the date of purchase) then comparing the different USD rates as though they 'ought' to be the same? BTW, on your 'recommendation' I ordered a SIM from SIM Corner Canada for a recent trip and was very pleased. Thanks.
  5. That excursion from Warnemunde to Berlin is going to be a tough one to squeeze in!
  6. Maybe. I suspect the shipyard(s) wojld like more than the original contract.
  7. I agree with you on the socioeconomic thing but differ on the interpretation of what you should be wearing in the dining room; seems to me you ought to consider stepping things up a notch from your typical dress but not go full out formal. Perhaps a business suit rather than shirt, tie and sports coat???
  8. Last time we went between Rome and the ship (no walking or transfers) we jsed Bob's Linos and were very satisfied. Check this out: https://www.romelimousines.com/transfers/rome-shared-transfers/rome-shared-transfers-rome/
  9. Further to martincath's response... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-maze-ing_Laughter
  10. Nine people with luggage trying to make their way from Civi to Termini to Milan. Get a private transfer that can accomodate the crowd and the luggage and get you to your train on time.
  11. Maybe it will go the same way as the 'Great British Sailaway'.
  12. If you don't plan on pre-purchasing your train tickets how do you know/plan your travel schedule and whether there will be room for your travel party?
  13. Once you're inside Rome Termini, you'll have to keep an eye on the departures board and about half an hour before your train to Milan is scheduled to leave the platform will be announced. Pretty straightforward. When I read you posts though, the real issue from my perspective is your strategy on how you plan on getting from Civitavecchia port to Termini and the timing... you ought not shave things too close on your train from Ro e to Milan. I suggest the earliest you plan on doing that is 1050 and 1150 would be better. If you are OK to walk with your luggage, pick it up in the hall upon arrival and take the shuttle towards Largo della Pace. Get off at the Michalengelo Fort and walk 15 minutes to the station. There are sidewalks and it is a straight shot on level ground.
  14. Agreed, and that was what your original question was about; not other alternative options.
  15. I'll go out on a limb and suggest that any airline flying from Sydney to Southampton (likely via London) will be happy (or at least capable of) to carry excess luggage for a fee. Arranging with, and paying, the cruise line to forward the luggage is more hassle and expense than simply taking it home on the flight.
  16. Agreed. If you're looking for specific advice on making your way from YUL to your hotel in Montreal and then from your Montreal hotel to Quebec, providing the name of your Montreal hotel would be helpful.
  17. Take the Ho-Ho. Casino is at stop 11, Parq Vancouver. Don't try to walk. https://westcoastsightseeing.com/hop_on/sightseeing_pass/#classic-pass
  18. I didn't have the energy to look any harder....
  19. Yes, there could be all sorts of changes before the end of August. Another option could be a shared shuttle.... https://airportcanaveral.com/shared-shuttle-service/
  20. Me too, I'm too lazy to provide a complete tour itinerary but can recommend the Ho-Ho experience to pass the day. https://www.vancouverplanner.com/hop-on-hop-off-vancouver/
  21. I believe you ought to have phrased it 'Me thinks...' for clarity.
  22. I think you're over-thinking my question.
