Won't make much difference. This is not close-in, drive-by sightseeing; the ship will be well offshore during transit and the 'views' won't be that great. As you approach ports and areas of interest, the whole idea of north/south and port/starboard loses significance as far as what you'll be able to see from your balcony.

I have attached a screen shot for the times you are likely interested in. Note that (with the exception of the Leonardo Express solution, all the changes are at Roma Ostiense. Given the airline arrival and fooling around at FCO on the morning of travel, you should consider purchasing your ticket upon arrival.

I have no doubt that the EU will publish copious amounts of guidance on how people determine their age. Me, I have always used my age up to my most previous birthdate i.e. until June, 2024 I will be 66.

Here is a screen shot of an FAQ from the official ETIAS site. Note that the age does not say 70 and above. It says over 70. I interpret that as 71 and above; much like under 18 is 17 and below. Maybe it will all change when they finally introduce the ETIAS.

You can also lower your expectations and you might be pleasantly surprised when even the most basic things are more than adequately done.

There is nothing particularly special about back to back (B2B) cruises; it's a term used to describe one cruise itinerary immediately followed by another on the same ship. Some common ones may be a seven day Eastern Caribbean followed by a seven day Western Caribbean. So, just search the Carnival site for a couple you might like to do and if you're a little hesitant to book yourself call Carnival and they'll be happy to help.
