So glad you enjoyed Edge…especially the SV. Both of my Edge cruises were in a SV; that will always be my cabin of choice. Also have a SV booked on Apex for December.

I reported it to Guest Services…twice. After a few days, I got a visit from GS and was told that the offender had to be caught in the act. So…they got away with it!

I have been on decks 9 and 10 on Edge. There was a tiny bit of soot once on my deck 9 SV which the cabin steward quickly wiped off. No smell of smoke, (however the pot smell from the next cabin was nasty)! I will again be on deck 9 on my upcoming Apex cruise. I use the balcony every day 😎.

I have sailed on Edge twice in a SV…and a few weeks ago on Equinox also in a SV. Both are wonderful. I always try to get on a deck between decks 8 to10 and always towards the center of the row as those center balconies are wider. I found the Edge balcony to have a bit more shade. You can’t go wrong in a SV.

I did it last year on Reflection. Standard balcony to SV. No extra charge, but likely because we sailed at less than 40% occupancy. That was a huge win!

Wow…I just looked up my date in December…Apex will be one of SEVEN ships in Cozumel that day 😱. Ascent will also be I port that day. I’ll get a chance to see the new ship up close 😎.

…and provided self serve laundry facilities.

Definitely unobstructed.

I was in 8344 on Equinox a few weeks ago...little to no shade. It does have a very wide balcony which is why I chose it.

May I ask the name of today’s hotel? I have to attend a wedding at the Confidante Hotel on Collins Avenue next month. That hotel is way out of my price range and am looking for a recommendation close by. For the amount of time I’ll be there, I’ll be happy with a clean room with a shower! Safe travels home. Interesting…looking at the ShipMate app just a minute ago, there is an embarkation photo taken on 2/19 on Reflection. It lists the dates, ship name and ports of call.

There was one photo op in the MDR last week on Equinox in addition to the staged photos in the hallway on Chic night. No embarkation photo or port photos.

I’m going to want to see that on Silhouette 🤪

I was able to use the iLounge on Equinox last week.

Equinox appeared to be 100%…or pretty close to it…on our 2/9 sailing.

Is this how I’ll recognize you when we sail on Silhouette next April? 😉

I had a SV (my first) on Solstice doing that itinerary pre-Covid. The sunsets were beautiful as we sailed east. The temps got a bit cooler the closer we got to Canada. I was still able to enjoy the balcony…pack a lightweight sweater or sweatshirt in case it’s too cool for you. Enjoy!

I’ve run into Captain Kate eating with several of her staff in OVC. I would be surprised if LLP mingled with passengers (aka common folk).

Looking forward to your Apex review. I've done two cruises on Edge, but will sail Apex for the first time in December (no suite for me, but always look forward to my SV). It will be my first solo cruise in a long time. I sailed on Equinox with a group last week...they found it humorous that I was able to start up a conversation with anyone...fellow passengers, crew, random statues (I do love Mr. Potato Head outside the shops). I figure if I want to make friends, that's the way to go! Bon Voyage Susan

I sailed on Equinox 2/9-18. I had no complaints...primarily because I am a chicken breast or meat and potatoes kind of girl (served after my shrimp cocktail). Our group did eat two nights in Tuscan Grill which was outstanding. I believe the portions were smaller but that wasn't a problem for us. My only disappointment was that the OVC discontinued the Asian stir fry every night. I tracked down one of the chefs who told me it was wasteful. When I asked how that was possible since the food is made to order, he merely smirked and told me in a very condescending manner that I could ask for it in the MDR. What am I missing? They usually offer a couple of proteins, veggies, which are precut, and either rice or noodles. There shouldn't be any need to cut up a lot since they would have the ability to cut up more as needed. Maybe I'll have more luck on Apex in December!
