ColinIllinois Posted April 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2018 No Matt, you are mistaken. I'm not sure where you got that idea from the NCL website but if you read the terms and conditions of the UBP package you will see that the POA is NOT included in the UBP. That is because of the State of Hawaii liquor laws. Here is the link you should read: https://www.ncl.com/terms/ultimate-beverage-package
Silver Sweethearts Posted April 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2018 The following is from the NCL website concerning beverage packages: " Ultimate Beverage Package is not available for purchase on charters, sailings that are two (2) days or less, the Pride of America or Harvest Caye". Rare BirdTravels Posted April 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2018 It is one of the benefits of sailing on a US Flagged ship entirely in the state of Hawaii. It's also why you will be charge Hawaii general excise tax on all of your purchases. Support the Hawaiian economy. Mahalo. Aloha.
mexico8 Posted April 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Can someone post the list of wines by the glass that are included in the UBP please? We have the UBP on the Breakaway in October but can't find anything recent about the wines by the glass (I think we can order a glass of wine that is under $15.). Thank you for any information. june123 Posted April 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2018 If you book through NCL uk you will have the premium all inclusive deal which includes the drinks package .
Rare KeithJenner Posted April 3, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 3, 2018 If you book through NCL uk you will have the premium all inclusive deal which includes the drinks package . Yes. The OP mentions all inclusive, so I assume that they are from the U.K. or parts of Europe that offer it. If so, they will be one of the few people on the cruise with the beverage package. It isn’t available to purchase for most people but we automatically get it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7cinnamon Posted April 6, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Does anyone know if we will be charged for alcohol bought at ports that we bring back to the ship. Also are we allowed to consume that alcohol on board? This is our first cruise so not sure what is allowed on board or not.

Please note that with the exception of Wine and Champagne, all guests are prohibited from bringing alcohol on board our ships. If you purchase any alcohol at one of our ports-of-call or in our onboard shops, we will safely store your purchase(s) and either on the final night of the cruise or the morning of debarkation it will be available for pick up in a designated area. You will not get charged for alcohol bought at ports. Wine and Champagne are subject to corkage fees charged to your folio.

MissFish7 Posted July 15, 2018 #11 Share Posted July 15, 2018 We're booked on the 21st July Sailing on Pride of America and I'm wondering if anyone has a current list of the beers available - specifically the beer. Hoping they might have at least one or two craft beer offerings :)

Rare KeithJenner Posted July 15, 2018 #13 Share Posted July 15, 2018 So we pay for each drink? No package available? Can we buy bottle packages? Sent from my iPad using Forums Yes, if you are from the US then there is no beverage package on the POA. I believe (although I may be wrong) that packages like the bottled water and Viva Vino May be available. Those are basically a discount on a fixed quantity, whereas the legal issues are with “all you can drink” packages. At least that is my understanding. MHKBCrusin Posted July 22, 2018 #16 Share Posted July 22, 2018 It's because of you being in US waters the entire cruise - there is no casino on board either. chengkp75 Posted July 22, 2018 #17 Share Posted July 22, 2018 It's because of you being in US waters the entire cruise - there is no casino on board either. It's not because you are in US waters the entire cruise, it is because you are in Hawaiian waters the entire cruise, and even then that's not entirely correct, as the ship is outside 12 miles most nights. Rare KeithJenner Posted July 22, 2018 #18 Share Posted July 22, 2018 It's because of you being in US waters the entire cruise - there is no casino on board either. The OPs question was answered a long time ago. Because they booked all inclusive in Europe they will get the UBP. It obviously doesn’t affect the casino situation though. Something fun! Posted July 23, 2018 #19 Share Posted July 23, 2018 Can a U.S. resident book through the UK?
chengkp75 Posted July 23, 2018 #20 Share Posted July 23, 2018 Can a U.S. resident book through the UK? You may be able to, but just know that there are many other terms and conditions that are different between US and UK bookings, like there are no refunds for cancellations at any time, the DSC is included in the fare and is not removable, etc.
