Passing of Joe May Port Lecturer

Just found out that Joe May who was a regular port lecturer on board Princess for the South America itineraries passed away last night in his sleep from a cardiac arrest. He will be missed.

Sad news. Joe was an excellent lecturer and will be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIP Joe.

Joe was a real gentleman and friend. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

We are so sorry to hear this. We sailed with Joe a few times and always enjoyed him. He will be missed by so many.

Very sad. We enjoyed his expertise on a couple cruises. Very knowledgeable and helpful ...RIP...:(

Joe was a great lecturer and will be missed on our Princess Cruises. R.I.P. Joe.

Very sad news. We cruised in the Med with Joe and he was the best of the best. I was hoping to run into him again next summer. He will be missed.

That is very sad news. Joe was on the first European Cruise we did a few years ago and really enjoyed his lectures. He was on the loudspeakers as we sailed into Venice for the first time - something we will never forget and I can still hear his voice. He seemed to always be on the pier when we were getting off the ship to greet people. Our condolences to his family.

Joe was a wonderful port lecturer and an all around great guy. RIP, Joe!

This is so sad to hear. Joe and his wife guided us around several of the ports when we were in South America. He was a fantastic person and will be missed by many.

Not only knowledgeable, but a friend that always had time for everybody. Joe was a walking, living encyclopedia of travel and ports.

I had the good fortune to travel South America twice with Joe. That's sad news - his lectures were very well done.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry to hear this. I sailed with Joe several times and he was amazing! Best port lecturer on Princess. He used his own photos to tell you about a port and gave honest shopping tips. I've had so many port lecturers who used Internet research and stock photos, but not Joe. He showed photos of himself and/or his wife at different sites and he seemed to know everything there was to know about the port.

He will be greatly missed. :( Damn. That's all I can say.

times. We will miss his "red" shirt and unique transportation modes.

So very sorry to read this today. I had hoped he'd be our lecturer on the 49 day South America cruise coming up Jan. 31. He did excellent work and made his lectures interesting and useful. My sympathies to his family.

We came across Joe on a South American cruise on the Star a couple of years ago, a true Gentleman. RIP Joe.

Very sad news. Joe was onboard for both my South America cruises and had lots of great information and was always very pleasant and helpful. I agree he was one of the best.
