Sequim88 Posted April 28, 2011 #15 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Went with Peacock. Where I work I look out my window and see wild turkeys every day. In winter they come eat spilled birdseed and I've had as many as 25 congregate around me while restocking the feeders. Like chickens. Ever pet a wild turkey (with gloves of course)? Except in Spring for mating (like now) they are truly ugly - and mean. The towel critter in the picture is beautiful so has to be peacock.
ryano Posted April 28, 2011 #16 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Except in Spring for mating (like now) they are truly ugly - I think the male wild turkey is an absolutely beautiful creature year around except when they are molting.......If Benjamin Franklin would have had his way, the wild turkey would have been our National bird, not the Bald Eagle. Merion_Mom Posted April 28, 2011 Author #25 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Well, I took a look at it sitting there on my daughter's bed and said, "Turkey". She said "Peacock". Or did my son say "Peacock"? And thus the controversy was born. :D
