I may have to try in the morning. . . .sorry everyone. I have lots of pics but they will have to wait.

It turned out that I didn't make it to formal night. Oh well, we can try that again.

I have to make it now to the New York Vagabonds Show in the Orpheum Theater.

I wil be up bright and early tomorrow. . . And head up to the Radio Press Room;)

Thanks for tuning in. . . .

Hello everyone. . . I am happy to say that tomorrow morning I will be boarding the Enchantment of the Seas at Cruise Maryland.

It is just a short drive to the port, and I plan on arriving by around 11AM. Luckily, the forecast is for mild temps (75F), and sunny skies. I am hoping for a very nice sailaway at 4PM. We should have about an hour left of daylight while we sail down the Chesapeake Bay.

I last cruised on Enchantment of the Seas in August when I sailed a wonderful 9 Night Canada/New England cruise from Baltimore. The "LIVE" Post from that cruise can be viewed HERE

For those of you who are new to Cruise Critic. . . This will be more than a Cruise Ship review. Many of you who are aware of my “LIVE” reports know that I will be posting daily comments and reports on Enchantment of the Seas, with daily photos of the public areas, lounges, and hopefully all of the Entertainment, Sports, and Dining areas of the ship.

There will also be comments and photos of the ports of call during the week. I am hoping that my Internet connection will be reliable, as I will require a stable connection to post photos throughout the week

Our Itinerary should provide nice weather as we sail south to Port Canaveral, Key West, Nassau, and CocoCay. For 9 nights I will be able to relax, sleep late, and enjoy the sun. . . (I may also relax in Casino Royale)

I am sure that the ports we are visiting will provide me with some nice memories and lots of photos.

I think I remember where the Starbucks is in Port Canaveral, Key West and Nassau. . . I'm glad I brought along a GPS :)

So sit back, have a coffee, and join me for the next 10 days. . . It should be alot of fun !

Hi Radio!

Thanks for the LIVE post. We sailed on Enchantment in December and I miss her and her wonderful crew! If you happen to see an assistant waiter by the name of DonDon at dinner in the dining room or in the Windjammer at breakfast or lunch please tell him Anne and Paige say hello!

For those of you concerned about the kiddos being allowed in the Solarium area, the kids were allowed only on the first and last two sea days when it was too cold to use the outside pools.

At all other times the Solarium is still an adults only area.

I wish you sunshine and calm seas Radio!

Anne

Radio,

I so enjoyed your live report last time and it was one of the things that got me excited to book our first Royal Caribbean cruise. We will be sailing out of Baltimore February 2013. Thank you so much for doing these!

Radio, as usual will be following your cruise, only this time with a lot more interest on the ship's details. Normally I 'stalk' your trips...always enjoy them....we will be traveling on Enchantment soon (have never been on her - usually said the bigger ships)...my husband is looking forward to our trip, I'm a little anxious being used to the 'other size'.....enjoy your trip!!

thanks for your great posts - Pattie

I had heard about the famous "Radio live reviews" but this is the first time I have had a chance to enjoy one of them. We are doing her on the 12 night on Feb. 6. Have been a bit nervous about such a small and older ship since we are bringing some newbies with us. So far, it seems that my fear might be unfounded. Will be following with great interest even though our ports will be different, I am mostly interested in the ship and its food and activities, etc. I see that you cover all of these areas very well.

Be well and know that you have a new fan.

It looks like Celebrity is infecting Royal with that. Lots of people, including us on our recent Silhouette 12 nighter, never got the notice in our room the first day and only found out when we asked after it was held. This has happened on the Silhouette on multiple sailings.

Since lots of people read Radio's Live threads, always check at Guest Relations if the invite is not in your cabin on embarkation day. And verify the time if it is there.

Hello everyone. . . Good Morning. Welcome to Day 3 of “LIVE” from Enchantment of the Seas.

We are getting very close to our first port of call. We are only about 50nm from the Pier. The temps are noticeably milder this morning, and there appears to be only a few clouds in the sky.

We never made it to formal night. . .I did get dressed however to meet the Captain. I was surprised to see a ton of passengers up in the Windjammer. The Shushi was good ! The Winjammer selection overall was very good.

Last night, there seemed to be music, and “live” bands everywhere, as the Captains Gala event took place on Deck 6. The Rosario Strings were in the Schooner Bar entertaining the crowds in the long line to meet Captain Ingebrigtsen. The Viva Band was playing in the Centrum. I liked Secret Agent Night in Casino Royale. . .The music was very good.

I especially liked the Vagabond Players, who entertained a standing room only crowd in the Orpheum Theater. They were 4 singers who sang along with the Royal Caribbean Orchestra, that did a selection of numbers from the 50’s through the 90’s. Their harmonies were right on and the crowd loved them.

Boleros lounge was packed with sports fans, as they watched the playoffs on s few big screens in the lounge. The Concierge Lounge had a lot of sports Fans as well. I tried to post a few pics last night, but the connection was very spotty, and I could not get pics up to my server. The connection now is very fast, as it has been for 90% of the time.

My plan today is to do a few things in Cape Canaveral. I will be heading over to Kennedy Space Center, and I would like to visit Manatee Park and see a few Manatees while there. I will try to get over to Jetty Park, at the Inlet to Cape Canaveral, and maybe head down to Cocoa Beach if time allows. I plan on returning to the ship by around 6 so I can take advantage of a very fast internet connection while docked at the pier.

Here are a few pics from last night and this morning. . .There will be a few more as we dock in Port Canaveral.

Thanks for all of the nice comments, and thanks for tuning in.
