We just got off the Enchanted Princess 2 days ago.  Smoking WAS allowed in the Casino...and of course it spilled out into the Piazza and was horrible!  I thought smoking indoors was banned...I was wrong.  Also, we could smell someone smoking pot on the balcony.  UGH!

Where did you ever get the idea that smoking was banned in the casino ?

It was right after the restart. We had a couple of cruises where there was no smoking allowed.

RC also did that when they first started up. Too bad RC and Princess didn't follow thru with the no smoking. I blame the cruise lines and not the smokers.

On the Island in October, only place people were smoking was in Churchill's.  It looked like a blue fog through the windows.

Really? That’s amazing news. I get a lot of Waves surveys and they often address the issue of smoking in the Casino. Maybe Princess will take a step forward and eliminate all indoor smoking sometime soon. I hear they’ve gotten rid of Churchills on a number of ships.

Maybe it was because Churchill's was still open.  On the Enchanted last week, Churchill's did appear to be closed.  I think the pot smoking off some balcony near us was probably worse...but we could only smell it not, see where it was coming from.

Just sailed Australia/New Zealand. No indoor smoking anywhere. Period. Doesn't seem to be a problem with bookings in that area so I don't see why it would be a problem to extend this policy to all Princess cruises. Makes zero sense. I wonder if JP or some other Princess bigwig smokes...

Is there smoking outside on the Australia itineraries? I thought that there wasn't. Thx!

There was at least one outdoor smoking area on the Grand this fall sailing from Australia. Deck 15 aft right outside the One Five where the PE lounge was.

Yeah. Directly under the kids area. 🙄

There was also smoking at the forward topside bar. That's a normal place for smoking on Princess ships.

Thanks to both of you. After so many posts regarding Australia. I was led to believe that there was absolutely NO SMOKING permitted anywhere. The posters led me astray.

Despite cigarettes costing something like $28 a pack, you will still find smokers. Currently $28 AUD is equivalent to about $18.80 USD.

$18.80 USD/pack?😳 That's nearly a buck per coffin nail. An expensive addiction to feed for sure!

Now that you people got Churchills shut down I hope it gets worse.
